Actually, I think that's because Pokemon Conquest is a crossover between two different games, allowing artwork from the other company to be in it. From what Bulbapedia says here, Nintendo teamed up with the company behind Nobunaga's Ambition, who also created Samurai Warriors, and used character designs from Samurai Warriors 3 for Pokemon Conquest. (If I'm reading all that correctly.) But it's really cool seeing the characters in their original form! :D

	I feel the same, Death. Sceptile's mega design looks amazing (even though we haven't gotten a good look at it from the front yet,) but Mega Swampert kind of looks...I don't know. Like a bloated toad? I've noticed that's been a common trend in the mega designs: The pokemon don't change much, they just get...wider. But I still love Swampert. 	I vote Pepsi. But I don't care for the regular versions of either of them, since they're so darn sugary to me, so my opinion is based on the diet versions. We always have Diet Coke in the house, and I guess I finally got tired of it. Diet Pepsi has more taste to it. :) [Read more]

Yeah, I get that. If someone is used to, say, RPing D&D style, something that is strictly text-based might seem really lacking to them. I've never done anything but text-based, so I don't feel anything missing. To be honest, any sort of live RP interaction kind of feels awkward to me. xD But that's because I'm more comfortable looking at a computer screen than an actual person, haha.

To be fair, text-based roleplaying is "real" roleplaying. It's a different type, yes, but I really don't think there's a such thing as "real" roleplaying.

Also, I would say that's up to the GM, whether they want backstories or not. There really aren't any rules as to what is strictly for the regular players, and what's for the creators. It's all up to the individual RP. That's what makes roleplaying pretty awesome. If you personally don't agree with it, then you should probably keep it for your own RPs. (:

I was sure that they wouldn't be doing this for another year or so! I was so, so excited when I saw the official announcement! Sapphire was my first ever Pokemon game, and I definitely want to get my hands on the remake. :D

Seeing how great X and Y were, I have nothing but confidence in Game Freak to bring out an even better game. They always make the remakes so awesome. <3 I just hope they bring back the feature where your Pokemon follow you, like in HG and SS. How amazing would that be with those graphics!

That's a good point! Though they could have just left the cut scenes as they were, and only had the sprite be shiny. But that would have drove all the shiny hunters crazy. xD

Anyway, I haven't caught/hatched a shiny in a while. I finally picked my Sandile hunt back up yesterday, and took a break from it today to do some Pokeradar hunting. I caught a shiny Pancham! :D I named her Coco. <3

@Oddballme: Yeah, I get that, lol. When I first started shiny hunting it completely derailed me from the actual game. xD And yes...It does! Interestingly enough, there should be no legit Xerneas and Yvetals out right now, since the game is coded for those two to never be shiny. And events can't be traded away (if there are any events that give out those shinies.) Kind of confuses me why the developers would do that. D:

The only problem with subs for me is that I have a very hard time reading the subtitles and keeping up with them, and watching the action at the same time. I'm someone who has to take in every little detail, and having to read at the bottom of the screen makes that impossible. xD That, and once I hear a character's voice in English, I immediately associate that character with that voice. Any other language just isn't the same to me, even if Japanese is the original.

I think most anime voice actors are very, very talented, even if they do the dubs. Most voices fit the character pretty well, even if they don't sound exactly like the original. :3

Beating the game for a shiny? Like, to transfer over a shiny to Gen 6? I think you can be gifted a shiny Dratini or Gible in Black and White 2. But they're not very easy to get...I think you need to have caught every Pokemon in the Pokedex? Or maybe I'm mixing that up with the Shiny Charm. xD

I'm still trying to beat Pokemon Platinum so I can get my shiny Nidoking out of my Firered game. Unfortunately, I started a Nuzlocke on it...And I'm too heartbroken to continue it at the moment. xD;

I've heard that the chances of getting a shiny are raised in the Friend Safari, but I can't remember the exact numbers. I just wish we could use the pokeradar there.
