 Winter Wind is a raffle created for earning a grand total of 150,000 Ice and Flying gems in order to do a shiny Articuno hunt. My very dear friend Ayase259 is helping me out by setting up our milestones and holding all the gems we collect. Our current goal is to collect as many ice and flying gems as possible by the end of this year (December 31st.) 150,000 of each gem will allow me to start a 60 egg chain in hopes of getting a shiny early on, but while we've hosted this raffle for a while now via news feed, it's just not getting enough supporters to carry on. So we're bringing it here now in hopes of receiving some support so we can carry on with it! Milestone markers will be posted as follows: ✓ = Completed! ✗ = Not yet reached -- = To be decided Milestones: 1,500 ✓ 4,000 ✗ -- -- -- -- -- -- Prizes: Messages in a bottlex3 Terra cave Map Hard Rock Cold Rock Blue Orbx2 Green Orb DNA splicer (BLK)x2 DNA Splicer (WHT)x4 Refrigerator SIX different plates 10 random boxes! 30 Rare candies Our current prize list consists of the following and is changed somewhat frequently depending on what stage we're on, some of the rarer items like Blue Orbs and Maps will not be released until much later stages. We also have a special "End of the Trial" prize for when we hit our goal and the shiny is hatched, though I'll leave further details on that unknown as of this point in time, well until the page is completed at least. Also a disclaimer, I'm aware that most people don't post on raffle pages and therefore these are normally deleted, but because this raffle will be long going and because it's such a large goal to reach we encourage our participants to comment here to let us know and help us keep track! All you have to do is write one post saying what and how much of it you donated and if you choose to donate more in the future, edit your first post, so we don't get confused. But i can see this... I support it to an extent, but like Raiko said, rather then shove the rules in their face when they first sign up do it before they make their first forum post, or lock forum posting until they've read and agreed to the rules and answered some questions to verify if they did or not. I've seen forums that have stated the rules as a user agreement upon joining and that you'd be rejected if you didn't agree, it seems a bit more logical then a quiz but then again not at the same time, because you know... who of us has actually ever read a 6 paragraph rules and user agreement page? Don't we all just hit "I agree" and not read it anyways... So a quiz seems proper in this sense, they actually have to read the rules to answer the questions correctly, instead of reading a massive essay sized user terms and agreement page or just skipping it and saying they agree. As for what Noir said above me as well, That can be true but if they're forced to take a quiz on the rules of the site and read the rules then you can just report them if they break the rules... because you know telling someone "Did you read the rules? You'll know this is against them and next time i'll report you for it" has never worked. They know your serious so they go and do it to another person instead of you, when they shouldn't be doing it at all. It's a common case around beggars for money, pokemon and nuggets; so in that case this would be very helpful. I can't see where anxiety comes in here though? I have it (especially when confronted by admins, even if it's a friendly thing) and I dread every waking moment I'll get yelled at by somebody xD But being forced to read the rules would have actually helped me, because i'd know they exist and that I can look at them if i'm unsure if I was breaking them or not. If anything it'd be helpful for those with anxiety I think, that may just be me who was feeling better knowing there were rules and where to find them, but... yea. [Read more] |

It'd be nice if we had a bank to store PD and nuggets into, I don't know about anyone else but i have the strongest impulse to throw every nugget I have into the event shop (especially when I'm saving them like I am now) and I'm often buying things without realizing it... so I'd just adore a bank for either or both. Nothing over the top like heightening the shiny chance or anything like that, but just small things to help the community, and each other out more. Maybe simpler things for lower numbers of interactions, and the more interactions you do the higher your chance for better O-powers? (Expl. 0 - 2500 interactions might get you a chance to randomly earn something like 2x Interaction points or maybe 2x Money earned (through interactions only), 3000 - 5000 can get you a better chance at more rare things, like higher chance for breeding eggs or 1.5 EXP gain for your profile.) I couldn't drop the quality well, but the original was WAY too big and the remake was still slightly larger then what was allowed, but I couldn't do much without ruining it completely so... for a better look there's always the original Link ~ [Read more] |
