*Eevee leaps onto Argent's head and sits there*

Argent: hey little guy? you wanna come with me?

Eevee: *nods*

*Argent holds out a pokeball and eevee wilingfully goes inside of it, then, sends eevee out*

Argent: you I are gonna have to do some training, eevee.

Eevee: vee!

*and so, Argent trains with Eevee, getting Eevee stronger and stronger*

Eevee: *looks at greninja* "so, how did YOU meet Argent, Greninja?"

greninja: "I just got lucky, that's all"

Eevee: "okay :)"

*suddenly, a wild duraludon jumps out at them*

Argent: Eevee, stay back! greninja, night katana!

*greninja one-hit KOs the duraludon*

Eevee: 0-0

Eevee: "that was SO cool!!! :3"

*Eevee, when argent and the rest of his team are resting, goes to a spot where two men are digging, and stands behind the first one, interested in what they are doing*

Digger #1: found this fire stone, bro!

Digger #2: eh. useless.

Digger #1: what am I supposed to do with it, then? throw it behind me or something

Digger #2: sure.

*the first Digger throws it behind him, right where Eevee is standing*

Digger #2: I WAS BEING SARCASTIC!

Digger #1: sorry- oh no.

*the fire stone hits Eevee on the head, and it evolves into flareon*

Flareon: "huh?! did i just *gulp* EVOLVE?"

Argent: Eevee, where are you? *he finds flareon panicking* yep, that's Eevee.

*after Argent calms down flareon, it starts to get used to its new form"

Flareon: *looks at greninja and the rest of argent's team* I'm starting to like this new form :3

*after that, they go back to the hotel to rest, with flareon sleeping on top of argent, who is trying to read a book*

Argent: *pets flareon and sheds a few tears* I miss you, Umbreon...

*after hours of griefing for the loss of his pokemon, Argent comes out of his hotel in Wyndon.*

Argent: *sighs* I wish umbreon was here. all he wanted to do was go to the league with us.

Greninja: *pats Argent on the back* Gre.

Argent: thanks, Greninja.

*Argent and his team leave for the wild area, where they find a pokemon that brings back pleasant memories for him*

Argent: what's that pokemon in the grass?

*an eevee pops out of the grass, looking extremely happy*

Argent: *sheds a tear* hey, little guy

eevee: eevee?

Argent: nothing. you just remind me of an old friend, eevee.

Greninja: *still at route 10 (where umbreon died)* "it- *sighs* it wasn't your fault, absol. nobody could have know uumbreon would do this. still, I'm more worried about Argent than anybody. when umbreon was an eevee, it was the first pokemon Argent ever caught on his first adventure, in johto.

*greninja then goes to wyndon and joins argent in his hotel room, where argent is still crying in his sleep*

Argent: *sends out lugia and returns all his pokemon but his (now dead) umbreon* lugia *sniffle* get us to wyndon. now

*argent leaves on lugia, umbreon still in his arms. when he arrives, he sees chairman rose*

rose: is that-

Argent: my umbreon? yes, it is. do you-

Rose: *points to a healthy patch of dirt right outside wyndon stadium* right there.

*Argent makes a coffin for his umbreon, and puts it inside. he then digs a hole for the coffin, puts it in the hole, and covers it up*

Argent: i-i'm going to my hotel. t-to sleep

Rose: yeah, that would be for the best.

*and so, argent sits in his hotel room, weeping over the loss of his umbreon*

Greninja: *he looks at absol, seething with rage* "i heard what umbreon was saying to you before he ran onto this route. you just... ignored him. HE WAS TRYING TO HELP YOU, AND YOU JUST LET HIM DIE!"
*greninja then blasts absol with a hydro cannon, and and starts using aerial ace on it, over and over again*

Argent: Greninja... stop it. it wasn't absol's fault.

*he continues to weep over the frosted-over body of umbreon, it's blue spots still glowing*
