It’s happened. The USA and other global powers have discovered you. And they want to add you to their military arsenal.

Your great grandparents and others like them were discovered for their powers. The government wanted to selfishly use them for their military. They fled, and found an island; a tropical, uninhabited paradise. Venetus Island.(it’s latin) Now, you and your friends at Venetus High School are the future of the Venieceans. The Whispering Willows of Spirits are where you can talk to other magic users; alive on the other side of the world(during day) and also dead(at night.) You are the strongest, being the youngest and most able. Now, 90 years after the first of your kind settled, the USA found you. Every so often, there are attacks. Classes have been suspended for the year. It’s fight time.

There are two kinds of magic; Lux and Tenebris magic (latin for light and dark). Lux magic flourishes in the day, especially in pure sunlight. Tenebris is strongest at night, especially in a full moon.

Appearance: black hair fades to navy, tall, shining blue eyes, loose blue dresses
Age (16-19 please):17
Backstory: Her great grandparents were one of the first settlers. She feels its her duty to protect the island. The military killed her sisters, but her twin brother killed them in responce. Eventually they retaliated and poisin darted her brother, and now he is sick and frail. In a full moon however, a (deceased,since its night) Whispering Willow Spirit gives him full strength to fight.
Personality: Kind of kind but secretly sadistic
Power: Tenebris she controlls a ball of darkness with tentacles called umbra, at night it can be 5 stories tall at day its 6 inches
native to island. She can make illusions in day but at night she can conjure stuff.(so the illusions are real at night)

Her brother is the same minus the illusions. But he's sick, so he can only use Fate (his version of Umbra) at night.

Rin sighed. She was in the forest. The Octopod was tiny now; it was day. It was barely the size of her hand. Octopod crawled up on her han and stood there. "What, Rage?" She asked it. She called it that; it was a manifestation of her pain and rage. She looked down on it, thinking of Carlise. How she loved Carlise. Magma was horrible; she hated Magma, but Carlise. No; Carlise was amazing.

She sighed and looked at it. "What, Umbra?" It perked up. Umbra was its real name. Carlise's Dark Spirit named it when Rin met her in the underworld. Umbra jumped up then showed an image of the underword on it's back.

"Okay, and? I know, that's where you were created? So?" Rin asked. Umbra shook its head/body thing. "Then wha-WHATTTT???" She yelled as Cath came into the projection. "SHE'S BEEN TO THE UNDERWORLD!?"

Rin was in the shadows, watching Cath. Ok, so Cath was evil. And Melvin, according to what the Octopod saw, was killing Scarlett. Oh, and Lucinda just made Rin infinetly more powerful. Rin grined and sprinted for a kitsune flower. She squeezed the juice to a mixture of leaves and lilies. Carlise's spirit was guiding her. Spirits were awakened on the blood moon. First, the pink mixture was laid on to Scarlett's wound, then Ayran's. The rest evapourated into Rin's skin. She grinned. So what if she cared about them? The Octopod couldn't harm them now. The mixture gave Rin full controll of it.

She smiled menacingly. The Octopod could now be summoned on a white moon. Perfect. Octopod was her strongest power.

Now to the matter of Melvin. She needed him to stay in line. If her plan was going to work, such a big liability couldn't just be prancing around.

The Octopod spirit started walking towards Rin, bent on killing Cath. But the blood moon was fadin, and it with it, the Octopod's power.

Rin walked over to see Atticus talking with Cath. "Oh good, you're back." She said, completely unaware that the literal manifestation of her rage was destroying trees as it walked towards her.

The Octopod shook Sobble off its leg. It felt scarlett moving around inside it's realm. It made black goo ooze around Scarlet's legs to keep her in place.

The Octopod Spirit saw Calico, Sobble, and Kai. It was unamused. It was a manifestation of Rin's rage, so it only cared about hurting the people Rin cared about.

The only person it didn't hurt was Rin or Carlise. Carlise had somehow tamed it. But it only answered to her. Not even Rin controlled it fully. However, on non blood moon nights, it was tiny and quite tame. Rin even liked it. But she had lost it, running away from Magma's possesed form. Now it was back, but in full form this time.

	It instantly transported Scarlett into the same realm Rin broke free of. It was completely black, except for the image; projecting Rin's past. Scarlett would be stuck there until the dawn broke or untill light magic freed her. [Read more]

Rin rolled her eyes. "I'm not evil. This is the best for the world. He just doesn't understand. The Children of Eden would be proud. This is for them." She looked determined. Then she sighed. "If your theory is true, we need to stay here till morning. Let's make camp." She smiled as she gathered sticks and leaves to build a shelter. "This is how we did it in Eden." The shelter was set up. It was warm inside.

Of course. She had to get possesed today. It's fine. Carlise knows how to get spirits- WAIT CARLISE IS DEAD I'M SCREWED Rin thought panickly. It was this same form that had killed her parents. But carlise saved her then. And this time, Carlise was dead. Surprisingly, the spirit was aproaching a mansion. Interesting. Rin was in some sort of black shadow realm then remembered- She also has light magic. She erupted the realm using her light magic and was surprised to find herself in a room with Cath and Atticus. They were staring at her. "What?" Then she heard a brick fall behind her. She turned around to find a wall completely anhialated. She laughed sheepishly. "Oops."

Rin sighed. She liked the fire more honestly. It reminded her of Magma. But oh well. Anyway, Cath and Atticus had both left to god knows where. She sighed and went of to find them. She jumped out of the window and started running throught the forest before climbing up a tree to get a better veiw. There was no chance she was going to find them. Suddenly her eyes turned black and she froze, falling off the tree. She froze in midair as her skin and clothes began to lose all of their color and turned black. She soon became envelouped in a shadow. Tentecles emerged and began destroying through the forest and walking forward. She hadn't checked, but she should have.

It was a blood moon.

"Have you heard of karma?" She asked Atticus. "The world burned everyone I knew and cared about and left me to watch it all, Atticus. I watched each and every single one of them die. All four of them. And I killed two of them myself. The world [d]UCKING BURNED EVERYONE I KNEW; IT BURNED MY LIFE!" She suddenly became very calm and smiled. She looked dead inside. "So I'm going to [d]ucking burn it back." She smiled and kicked the eppee out of his hand. He was weak. "I got scorched and burned over and over and yet I'm still standing. Unlike Reina. I'm not sitting in a closet like you. I'm [d]ucking holding a match above the world and I'm going to drop it."

"And after being charred to a crisp." She giggled, "I still, I STILL FIND A WAY TO CARE. THE WORLD KILLED EVERYONE I CARED ABOUT AND SO I FOUND SOMEONE NEW TO CARE ABOUT! I FOUND CATH!" She began to yell. "I'M NOT SITTING IN A CORNER CRYING I'M OUT THERE FIXING IT!"

"Life won't wait for you. Time won't stop. It doesn't for anyone." She told Atticus before turning to Cath. "Sometimes loss has no lesson, sometimes there is no moral of the story." She looked sad. "Sometimes you are a spectator in your own life, watching your body move and do cruel things. And I mean that figuratively and literally." A tear dropped down from her cheek. "I killed..." She stumbled over her words. Tears were streaming down her cheeks. "...my parents. I was possesed. My little sister saved me." She picked up Atticus and layed him on his bed. "We ran into the forest. Made camp. That adorable smartas[h] Carlise kept us alive with her surperior knowledge of alchemy and herbs." She chukled darkly. "An improvised eden is what Magma called it." Her face turned serious. "Magma got possesed during a blood moon. Killed Carlise and herself while I stood, invisible, watching." She projected the images on the roof while she talked. I ran and found the school. Magma was away half the time, so I guessed she was here. So I stayed. And here we are." She stood up. Rin ran over to the closet from where she heard the voice. She saw Atticus and instantly yelled,

“Are you retarded?” Rin asked. She brought 3 of the roses from his bed. “Absorb their pigment retard. You’re killing yourself. There is no afterlife. There is no going back to Mother and Riena.” She paused and thought back to what she did to her parents; how she killed them. “Even if it’s dragging you along, Life is moving on. You can either walk on your own or be slave to misery.” She gazed into his deep blue eyes. “Stand up Atticus. Walk with Life, not behind it.” She put a hand on his shoulder to reassure him. Carlise used to do that to her. “And wake up and see what you have, Atticus. Not what you lost.” She felt very poetic. She being Carlise. Carlise, the smart as[h] 10 year old with all of the world’s knowledge at her fingertips. She had much more potential than Rin. Rin should have saved her. Instead, she watched as her twin slaughtered her little sister. But, as she just said, Life moved on. And Rin was finally walking with it.

Rin let Cath in. "Atticus is hiding somewhere, but he can hear us." She then whispered to Cath, "Look. The world needs to burn. But that doesn't mean I want everyone to burn. There are few, and I mean very few, people like us who deserve to live." She paused. "I want to give them the life we never got to have." She chuckled, remembering what Magma called their hideout in the forest after Rin killed their parents. "An improvised eden." She smiled sadly.
