insert the first verse of boulevard of broken dreams here, to add to awkwari's edgy angsty emo-ness

Couldn't see, couldn't think, couldn't hear, couldn't breathe. That feeling followed him, the overwhelming memory burned into his mind and haunted him. It was an awful one, one he had to endure days and days on end. They wouldn't stop, they wouldn't stop tormenting him.

The drug only worked because you let it, Akari.

They used him, they used him because they knew it would work. They used it to kill, they used him to kill. They did it while he slept, when he was vulnerable. Sometimes they did it while he was awake, just to torment him. They did it to torture him. They did it to kill.

He couldn't sleep at night because of it. Always too terrified that they'd do it again. He begged and begged, hid himself away, even tried to fight back.

He was only a kid. They didn't listen, they always found him, always overpowered him. Made it hopeless.

Sick f**ks.

Doesn't change the fact that you did it. It was all you. The drug did nothing. You, Akari.

You.

He slowly made his way around the school. Slowly but surely. No destination in mind, he just wanted to escape. Wanted to distract. Couldn't see, couldn't think, couldn't breathe, couldn't hear. It was all just a blur, thoughts rushing endlessly but there was nothing there at the same time.

You were right there, Rei. Right there.

Why?

Why did you do it?

Why did you ignore my cries for help?

Why-

...

You know why. You just don't want to admit it. Don't want to throw him under the bus like that, because Rei can do no wrong, right?

You just don't want to admit that he did it. That he was finally sick and tired of protecting you like the baby you are, sick and tired of dealing with your bulls**t.

No, no no no he wouldn't- Stop please stop leave me alo-

But it's true, isn't it? You know it is. Face it, Akari. Listen for once in your life. Use your goddamn head.

You.

You killed her.

"Leave me alone leave me alone leave me he f**k alone..."

He began muttering under his breath, his breathing heavy and his footsteps quickened. The pounding in his head was becoming unbearable. Akari just kept walking and walking, not even aware of what was around him, he couldn't think well enough to do that in the first place.

...And the next thing he knew, he was back in the kitchen. Back where he was yesterday.

...Sawyer?

Oh yeah. They looked for Sawyer yesterday. Were they alright? Did something happen?

Blood. The blood was still there, surprisingly.

Akari couldn't focus on the blood right now. Blood on the ground, blood flooding his vision. Blood all over his hands, all over his clothes, all over bodies.

He turned away, he couldn't look anymore. He turned away and turned to what he came here for. Both yesterday and today.

...Was he really that desperate? He turned back to it. Turned back to it again. Even when he had a second chance, he still came back to it.

He told himself he'd never do it again. Never pick up a filthy bottle, never take another drink. Only reminded him of home, his mother, his father. Only reminded him of what hell really was, only reminded him of how horrible things could be.

Only reminded him of his dirty hands, of the things they have done.

So he picked up the bottle. Popped the cork. Held the familiar weight in his hands. Stared at the glass. Then he held it to his lips.

Because he drank to forget.

...

Ninety-nine bottles of beer on the wall, ninety-nine bottles of beer.

Take one down, pass it around, ninety-eight bottles of beer on the wall.

Ninety-eight bottles of... beer on the wall, ninety-eight bottles of beer.

Take one down, pass it around, ninety-seven bottles of beer on the wall.

Ninety... seven bottles of beer on the wall, ninety...seven? Bottles of beer.

Take one down... pass it around, ninety-six bottles of beer on the wall.

Ninety... one? bottles of beer on the wall, ninety-one bottles of... beer?

Take... one down, pass it around... Ninety bottles of beer on the... wall?

...Eighty bottles of beer on the wall... Seventy-eight? bottles of beer?

"Eh... Who's counting..." Akari began to mutter to himself.

...Wow. That was a lot of bottles, huh? That... Was a lot...

At least he was alone, right? Alone, being the stupid edgy angsty dumbass mfer who I honestly don't even know what to do with.

...Sixty-nine bottles of beer on the wall~

Get it together.

Get. It. Together, Akari.

Not here, not now.

He was still trembling, his breathing was erratic, his body was tense. No matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't calm himself down further. He could barely think, his eyes were wild and crazed, and he just couldn't stop shaking. That feeling that plagued him in his dream, it seemed to follow him even now.

Only that scene played over and over in his head. Over and over did he see the blood drip down, over and over did he see those eyes, that once pleasant smile that was now tainted with her screams and pleas. He couldn't get it out of his mind, it just would not stop playing.

"Good morning, Akari. Did... You sleep well?"

Akari sat in silence, almost like he didn't hear the question. His eyes were pinned on the ground in front of him, his arms gripped tightly onto his legs.

"..."

"...Yeah. Just fine..." He managed to whisper out, unsure if Lucian could even hear it.

...so that was a fkin lie

Anyways, after that, he quickly got up from his edgy little corner in the room to the best of his abilities, the numbness in his limbs and the immense shaking making it quite hard to do so, and headed for the door. He barely even said a goodbye, just rushed out like his life depended on it.

Not like he cared much about his life, but you get the point.

. . .

oh no i wonder what awkwari will do next, totally not anything stupid!

it is not advised to attempt to stop this edgy angsty mfer

Akari didn't react to the words Lucian had said, to Kubo's stirring as his knocked-out ass did whatever it did, he just stayed silent and hardly moved. He didn't dare close his eyes, he didn't dare do anything. He just sat there, resting his head, and listened to the lonely and quiet room.

Waiting for the night to go by.

...

TW: Body horror, gore, Akari in general

...

Hours probably went by before his body became overrun by exhaustion, the sleepless nights catching up to him once again like they always did. He blinked once, and the next thing he knew, he was in the dark. Standing alone, surrounded by pitch-black darkness. Not a sound was made, not a sound was heard. Not a movement was made, not a movement was seen. Just complete nothingness.

...Until that horror paid him a visit once again.

Akari couldn't move, couldn't say a word. Only watch as the figure wobbled over to him slowly, the gruesome sound of its flesh squelching and the bones clacking echoing throughout the nothingness.

That face. That goddamn face. Still the same, sick expression plastered onto the horridly disfigured skull, eyes seething with enough rage and hatred that it almost seemed to glow with a sickening light in this nothingness. Wiry, blood and grime stained hair stuck to whatever skin was left on its horrifying frame, swaying along to every painful step that thing took.

It was all too real. It was all to much. Every sound, every sight. It was all too real. Rang in his ears endlessly, echoing louder and louder until it deafened him.

Then the choir joined in to the tune of this horrifying cacophony. Sung and sung its haunting melody as the nothingness only grew larger around him. The choir of voices he never wanted to hear again, the choir of painful screams and brutal cries, screeches and yelling, all of them played their own agonizing song.

To the tune of its footsteps.

Louder and louder, and Akari could only stand there. Begging and begging to be let free, the choir became too much. But nobody heard his cries.

But nobody came.

The figure only got closer and closer. Then close enough to see every detail in that ragged old skin. Close enough to see the maggots and flies that had made it their home in those empty, filthy eye-sockets. Close enough to see every single one of those rotten bones, covered in the bits and pieces of flesh that it had grinded up as it moved. Close enough to see every organ spilling out over those rotten bones, chunks and chunks everywhere, hanging on my a thread as they swayed along with that disgusting green hair and dragging along at its feet. Close enough to see the parasites and disgusting insects feeding upon its flesh, crawling along its skin and acting as if it was one with the body. Close enough to see the difference between its dark skin and the layers and layers of blood.

Layers and layers that could be compared to the make-up she liked to wear. She wore a lot of it, Akari remembered. Most days she was too drunk or too high to do it, but she always made sure to cover up the face that hid a thousand secrets. Whenever she would go out, she would wear it.

She wore it to cover the sins she bore, the atrocities that built her empire. The mask managed to fool them all, everyone except the poor souls who were already too chained up under her grasp for it to matter.

But now, there was nothing to hide. That monster's true form was now uncovered. Right in front of him, wobbling closer and closer. Right in front of him, only in his nightmares.

"Akari..."

The choir continued to sing.

"You... You did this..."

The choir continued on. Continued singing its tune.

Sung its tune while the voice of the corpse lead them on.

"All... Your... Fault."

And then it lunged. Those claws went straight for his eyes, covering them and gripping his skull so tightly it could shatter. And there was nothing he could do.

...

The pain subsided. Light began to flood into his eyes. The choir had stopped, and a new orchestra had begun.

He was there again.

The familiar handle was gripped firmly in his hands. He could feel how cold it was, how tightly he gripped that damn thing. He could feel his other arm aching, more so than the one grasping the blade. He could feel how light his head was, yet still weighed down by the overwhelming feeling of horror, and...

Guilt.

Drip.

Drip.

Drip.

He could feel how soaked he was. Soaked in rubies. Rubies that gleamed in the sun, rubies that sparkled. Rubies that were her favorite, now covering him. He could feel how much his entire body ached, moved all on its own.

Akari could feel the overwhelming weight of his sins that crashed down on him without a warning.

Akari could see the rubies everywhere. But the sun wasn't out to show their pretty glow.

It was nighttime after all, he was supposed to be sleeping. And he was. He knew exactly what had happened that day. He was sleeping, then he ended up here. His arms were aching, his mind was foggy.

...Revenge was a bitter thing, wasn't it? The men who drugged him let it overcome their thoughts, take over their actions. They drugged him, a dose enough to kill a man, but not before wreaking havoc on his mind and flesh. They intended to kill him, but not before they guaranteed his spot in hell. Not before they got their revenge. Not before they saw how far they could break him.

He was sleeping, and then the next moment he was standing in this room. He had his knife in his hands, a crowbar in the other. Everything was foggy, nothing seemed real. Couldn't see, couldn't think, couldn't move, couldn't breathe, couldn't hear.

Until her voice filled the walls, filled with fear and concern. Those horrified, sea-blue eyes were the only thing he could see. Her voice was the only thing he could hear.

No, no no no no...

Not again, please not again.

I don't want to see it again, please...

Wake me up, I swear to god let me wake up-

Step.

Step.

Step.

She was asking a lot of questions. He kept hearing his name. Over and over again. Fear and terror filled those once glimmering eyes. She had her hands up, as if to stop him. Her body was shaking, wasn't it?

Yours was too, Akari.

Did she see it?

Did she see the terror in your eyes too?

Did she see the tears you cried?

...

Or did she only see that glazed over emotionless stare?

Could she only see the rubies that flooded the sea of blue in her eyes? The blood you certainly got all over her?

Could she only see your remorse-less, stone cold face as you slowly slit her neck, watching the life fade out of her skin and eyes as the voice began to fade away, fading away into the pool of rubies that formed at her feet?

You only knew the terror on her face, Akari. That's all your blurred mess of a vision allowed you to see. You only heard her please, her cries for you to stop, her screams of fear.

That's all you knew. You live knowing that she died a miserable death, and you swung the reaper's scythe.

You know her last moments were spent begging the one she trusted the most to spare her life. But that life meant nothing to you, did it?

No, no no stop, please no-

It meant nothing to you, did it Akari?

...

The sound of her screams filled his ears once again. He watched yet again to see what the color leaving her light skin looked like. He sliced the blade across her neck once more, her face right in front of his. That golden blond hair soon becoming soaked in rubies, rubies that she loved. He watched it all again, and it was all so real. He watched as his hands made that sickening motion once again, and he watched as her final breath left her lips.

All right in front of him, all by his hand.

You did this, Akari. You killed her. You did everything.

I'll see you in hell.

...

He woke up shaking, shaking so badly his body had gone numb. He woke up with an enormous gasp for breath, his eyes wide in fear as his heart raced and raced. He was still against the wall, legs pulled up to his chest with his head rested on his knees, only now he was completely shaken by the nightmare. Drenched in sweat that felt like blood on his skin, desperately gasping for air, and a scream would've probably been heard if it wasn't for the immense dread that filled his throat, his entire body really.

"...Akari?"

His head snapped up to find the familiar voice, his state of panic causing him to forget where he even was.

It was Lucian, he was still with Kubo. Looks like he had just woken up too. They were in a random dorm, at Hope's Peak. They were still in a killing game.

...Right.

There wasn't much the poor guy could do at the moment, he had been so overridden by fear and shock that he was just left unable to function. He tried, at least, barely opening his quivering mouth in hopes of being able to say something back to Lucian, but the attempt was futile.

...Kubo was awake now, anyways. He had started to talk to Lucian. It was probably better if Awkwari didn't say anything anyways, right? Don't draw attention, at least get a grip first, right?

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Akari's eyes had grown distant since the silence filled the air, he seemed to be zoned out as his head stayed low and his body continued to lean against the wall. That empty expression, deprived of any emotion or thought, tainted by the years and years that weighed on it. Scars, eye bags, exhausted eyes, and that permanent expression.

"...Akari, are... You sure you're alright? It's okay if you're not. Really."

Everything seemed to pause. A small sting fell upon his chest as his breathing momentarily stopped. Those glazed over eyes became focused once again. He didn't dare lift his head or move a muscle though.

Well, obviously he wasn't. There hasn't been a day he could confidently say he was alright. But that didn't matter, did it? Nothing really mattered anymore, right? Akari didn't really care anyways, just wade through the sands of time until you finally go under. Only the fear of the excruciating pain of sand filling your lungs keeping you afloat, and even then...

"It's okay if you're not."

...Since when was it ever ok? Sure, edgy as hell as it may be, that was just something he considered every time it was brought up. He... Honestly didn't care enough about himself to even think about whatever could be running rampant in his mind, much less talk about it.

He didn't say a word, not like he could anyways. Not with the slight quiver in his lip, not when he couldn't breathe.

"If there's anything you need to talk about... You can talk about it. I won't judge, I promise."

But there was nothing to talk about, was there?

"...Lucian, just... Drop it." He muttered quietly, his tone lacked the harshness that abrupt words like that would bring, it instead sounded... Sad? Desperate, even?

He was too caught up in his own misery to even notice Lucian's sudden, lightened expression.

"I'm... ...sorry if this is annoying. I just... Want to help you. If you need it."

"I-... I'm beyond help, just... stop worrying about me, please?" He could barely get those words out, his words were almost a whisper at this point. God he hated this, he looked so damn pathetic right now. Should've just kept your damn mouth shut, like you always do.

If you just kept your damn mouth shut, maybe nothing would've ever happened. If you had just kept your damn mouth shut, maybe he wouldn't have been hurt so much. If you had just kept your damn mouth shut, maybe you wouldn't ever have had to feel the burning sting of boiling water, of those glass shards, of the bullets, of the blade that tore deep into your skin.

If you had just kept your damn mouth shut, maybe they'd still be alive. Your brother, your sister, and...

The sound of the door locking rang through the room, alerting Akari once again. He looked up in that direction, giving a sigh before looking back at Lucian and Kubo.

"Or, I mean, we could always talk about something else! If you want. Whatever you want. Whatever makes you happy."

"..."

He looked back down at the ground, going back to stuffing his hands in his pockets.

"Whatever makes me happy, huh..." He whispered under his breath, barely audible to anyone but himself probably.

He was beyond that point, really. He didn't really care about happiness, and sure as hell wouldn't go through the effort of trying to get it. Not like it mattered, right?

Not like it mattered.

"...Good night, Lucian."

"..."

"Sorry..."

Wow, what a way to end a conversation Akari. Avoid the question, be dismissive, barely talk, push Lucian away like the plague, sounds like the perfect talker right here! He decided to go to an even more secluded part of the room and fall down the wall, bringing up his legs to his chest and resting his head on his knees.

He honestly wasn't sure if he'd even be able to sleep, he just wasn't sure of what exactly to do next. He hated how that entire thing went, hated how bad he was at talking, but there wasn't much he could do now, was there?

Edgy nightmare lore drop moment coming to the next post near you!

Oh shoot, she got her there. If the little bird who slingshotted its way through the fourth wall like a goddamn angry bird was correct, it was actually Mei who would be considered the wretched doppelganger. Buuuut... Who cared about the specifics, ammiright?

She looked back over at Kowai, finding that she had paused for a moment, as if she was thinking about something. Hit a nerve, didn't she? Well, that was certainly interesting. It appeared as though Kowai's angry bird was dumber than a bag of rocks or a dodo, take your pick and those green little piggie bastards were still running rampant.

Or like... Mei was just making stuff up or somethin, I dunno 👀

"Huh. If you wanna enact sleeping in a coffin, why not vote for yourself?"

Mei let out a slurred chuckle, like the one a drunk person would make while smiling like a damn fool. Suddenly, through the power of plot convenience, a pen and paper just suddenly appeared and Mei began to write a name.

QuoteMei Akamatsu

"And that I will do~" And through the power of extra plot convenience, the paper was put in its place and Mei could continue laying on the comfy floor and being the useless waste of space she was. To add to the comfort, she placed her hands behind her head and crossed her legs, like she was just casually laying there instead of flailing about like an idiot.

And now we return to Mei sleeping.

I would like to clarify, I totally wasn't being held at gunpoint to help with the Oscars 👀

Nope, totally not a cry for help, not at all

Anyways, this was a really good year, and I'm more than happy that I'm able to help! Congratulations to all the winners and nominees which, surprisingly I was one of, thanks lol even if I don't really feel like I deserve the recognition, it really has been a fun and wild year! Hope to see more and more exciting things in the future, honestly can't wait for 2024 👀

⋅☾ㅤBest Scene [ FF ]ㅤ☽⋅

═════════════════════

Now, onto the Best Fanfic Scene on Pokeheroes dot com. Admittedly, there was only one nomination for this category, but that doesn't mean this particular one was any better or any worse in terms of quality and creativity. This scene was still fantastic and is definitely "Oscar"-worthy, even without any competition.

Anyways, I bet I could speak for most writers when I say that writing fanfictions, or even writing in general, is no easy task. Consistently writing good scenes, characters, plots, or even settings takes a lot of work and thought put into it. Again, like with the roleplays, I'm sure many of us can applaud the work and the person behind it. That being said, the winner of the Best FanFic Scene on Pokeheroes dot com is...

Alternate Ending!

Award:

This wonderful fanfic, written by TheFruityBanter, is certainly a good one. It puts a twist on an already good scene from the original Danganronpa: Game of Wits, which I'd say is a pretty difficult task itself. Congratulations, can't wait to see what you write in the future! Or perhaps... If anyone is inspired to write something of your own... 👀

Now, as you may or may not, shout-out to you naturally talented folk have experienced yourself, it's not easy to formulate ideas and come up with creative stories. Obviously it takes time, effort, and... skill? I'm not exactly sure what you would call it, but let's just go with that. Anyways, the point is that I, like a lot of others I'm sure, applaud these roleplayers and their specific roleplays for their creativity and exciting plots that I'm sure everyone involved enjoyed. I could even call them "Oscar"-worthy, if you catch my drift.

The roleplays in question?

Those Who Carried On by ~Shepherd~ and the cast
The Land of Three Suns by JustCath and the cast
Great Mother in the Sky: No Love in the House of God by ~Shepherd~ and the cast
Fate of the Fields of Mercy by moai and the cast

Rolling around the school at the speed of sound
Got places to go scare off some of her fellow, very much alive classmates as a very much dead ghost
Gotta follow my rainbow straight to the room where Kubo and Lucian reside
Can't stick around, have to keep movin' on for the sake of relevancy
Guess what lies ahead totally not some dead bodies
Only one way to find out by following these gay mfers

Must keep on movin' ahead stopping is boring
No time for guessin', follow my plan instead because it's the greatest plan
Trusting in what you can't see never trust Mei or her ghost, both of them are anomalies that shouldn't exist
Take my lead, I'll set you free to the gates of hell
Follow me, set me free and unleash her wrath upon this world, totally not like Ganon
Trust me and we will escape from the city the city of heaven because straight to hell is where you're goin
I'll make it through, follow me to the gates of hell

Follow me, set me free please don't
Trust me and we will escape from the city never trust Mei
I'll make it through, prove it to you that trusting Mei will only leave you heartbroken when she's finally fkin dead
Follow me! no

Danger is lurking around every turn totally not by her hand
Trust your feelings feelings suck, go crazy go stupid like her and end up dying a psychopath
You've got to live and learn oh she certainly learned alright, not sure about lived tho
I know with some luck that I'll make it through did someone say Nagito
Got no other options dying was an option
Only one thing to do become Hope's Peak Academy's beloved ghost

I don't care what lies ahead Mei liked to lie tho
No time for guessin', follow my plan instead because it's the greatest plan
Find that next stage no matter what that may be the fields of death sounds like an interesting stage name
Take my lead, I'll set you free to the gates of hell

Follow me, set me free please don't
Trust me and we will escape from the city never trust Mei
I'll make it through, follow me I'm pretty sure you did not make it through, Mei
Follow me, set me free please don't
Trust me and we will escape from the city never trust Mei
I'll make it through, prove it to you again, I'm pretty sure you did not make it through, Mei

"...Akari? Are you alright?"

"I'm sorry. For... Not paying attention to you right now. I just need to make sure Kubo gets better, but... I can't imagine you're doing well either. I don't think any of us here are, to be honest."

Oh. Lucian noticed him. Oh well, not like it was avoidable.

Akari was leaning against a wall at this point, keeping his head down, almost like he was trying to rest his eyes for a bit. I don't think trying to sleep while standing was a good idea, but Akari wasn't exactly known for having good ideas.

...Actually he was, that was kinda why he was here in the first place. But still, there wasn't much he could do otherwise anyways.

He shifted a bit, pulling his arms out of his pockets to cross them across his chest, still keeping his head down.

"Are you alright?"

...Why was everyone so insistent on asking him that? This was... What, the third time he'd been asked today? Honestly who knew, no one was counting and "today" took way too long for anyone to remember. But... Did he really look that miserable? Were his mannerisms just that unusual? Enough to warrant so much concern like this? Geez, it was honestly getting a little tiring.

"...Yeah, yeah I'm fine Lucian..." His voice was quieter than usual, which I didn't think was possible but here we are. Akari was also slightly hesitant, as if he wanted to say something else. "Don't-... Don't worry about me, not like I'm the one just... passed out over there..." He muttered dryly, his hand subtly gesturing over to Kubo. Honestly that comment made him feel a little out of place, like his presence was just adding something else to Lucian's plate, but he figured acting upon it like leaving their asses would only make it worse.

Besides, he couldn't just flat-out say, "Oh hey Lucian, I'm just sticking around because I can haha! Totally not because being alone may or may not be a death sentence right now, and all these new bandages totally don't mean anything!" now could he? Lucian was already concerned and had a full enough plate, no need to give him something else to worry about. Well, not like he wasn't worried about it already, but still. But... Even then, he still felt guilty for staying. The reasoning behind it was selfish, and the sheer amount of awkwardness that filled the room was enough to change his name to Awkwari. Oh wait, we already did that. Sucks to be you, Awkwari, this is your life now.

"...just... With the murders, and... Everything that happened in our lives. And everything that is still happening. It's... All so confusing, and difficult."

Everything that happened, huh? Confusing and difficult were nice ways to put it, to say the least.

"...do you... Want to talk?"

Talk? Talking only shared what didn't need to be said, what shouldn't be said. Talking only wasted breath. Talking only burdened other people. Talking only dug his grave deeper and deeper, and at this point it was getting a little hot down here. Talking only reminded him of times past, times that didn't need to be remembered, times that only brought pain. Talking only brought pain, not only from the memories. Talking was only a waste of time.

That's why he didn't do much of it, after all. In all fairness he physically couldn't, but that's besides the point.

"I-..." He paused, slowly closing his mouth while the silence hung in the air. "...Not much to talk about, is there?"

Jesus christ could this day get any worse? Mei swore she was starting to get a headache from these chatterboxes. She failed her arms out on the ground beside her, groaned, and rolled her eyes at the dull sky above. "Ughhhh, can y'all keep it down over there?"

She tilted her head to the side to look over at Kowai, and upon fully examining her, something clicked. Yup. Definitely knew this one. Or did she? God this "alternate universe" stuff was confusing as hell. Speaking of hell...

"Y'know what? It'd prooooobably be better for all of us if you-" Mei lazily raised her arm up and jabbed a finger in Kowai's direction, "my ten-times more annoying and childish doppelganger, would just come over here and take a much-needed nap with me, hm?" At first, her expression reeked with annoyance and boredom, but as she spoke her next few words, it contorted into a grin. "After all, sure is nice to reenact sleepin' in a coffin, isn't it?" Her eyes glinted with a mischievous look, and her tone became low and sly, like she was speaking of info she was not supposed to know, and nobody else was either. Oh, would you look at that, this was exactly the case. "Heh, not like you'd know about that, hm? Look at you, standin' here alive and well~" Immediately, her face lightened once again and the tone disappeared, becoming slightly more slurred as if she was actually tired. "C'mooooonnn, the ground is surprisingly comfy, even if you don't get your complimentary blanket of six feet of dirt in the package!"

...What. The. Hell.

Ok first off, she was supposed to be dead. Like dead dead. Not only did she go on a roller coaster ride from hell, being brutally murdered by a roulette that surprisingly wasn't Russian, but she was no stranger to this sick game where people died more often than Mei could spew utter nonsense. So... If that's the case, then why was she still alive and well, back again for this electric boogaloo number two?

"Jesus christ, just let me die in peace, will ya?" Mei muttered under her breath, seemingly not aimed at anyone in particular but it was definitely a jab at some idiot named "Daiko". She began by sitting up and rubbing the back of her head a little, an annoyed expression plastered all over her face as those angry eyes scanned the land around her.

What they found intrigued her, to say the least. A barren and oddly eerie landscape, inhabited by familiar faces and also unfamiliar. There was one odd individual who gave Mei an odd sense of deja vu, but she genuinely didn't care enough to look too deep into it.

Anyways with all that being said, she decided to lay back down on the ground and take a nap while everyone fed each other to the dogs, or tried to become "friends" in this death-infested s***hole. Completely out of character? Yeah. Do I care? No, not really. Mei just wants to nap :)

She is going insane, what the actual hell was going on.

Why was everyone suddenly obsessed with her.

Before he could say anything, or even do anything, Akari was cut off by Kubo and his mutterings, to which Lucian put all his focus into attending him. He didn't mind though, not like he wanted to say much anyways.

While they were conversing, even when it was pretty much one-sided, Akari moved further away silently and decided to "isolate" himself against the wall while he watched from afar. He felt bad about it, since it almost seemed like eavesdropping a bit, but there wasn't much else he could do anyways. Couldn't leave and be alone again, couldn't go back to his dorm, right? Even if Sutaraitsu was there, and Akari had a feeling he wouldn't be, he just didn't like the idea. He couldn't just roam around the school, even if he stayed awake and therefore wouldn't break a rule, that also seemed a little dangerous and... unpleasant to stay the least. As much as he wanted some peace and quiet for once, he knew he couldn't trust himself to be alone. Even if he managed to get a wink of sleep, he didn't know if he could handle another nightmare. Not after this, not after today.

All he did was look over in the two's general direction, trying to make himself as unnoticeable as possible. He didn't want to say anything, didn't want to interfere. Not like he knew what to do anyways, right? Wasn't any of his business, he didn't need to know. But...

The way Lucian was acting, it was pretty damn obvious. It was also obvious that the poor guy had doubts, conflicting thoughts about it all, uncertainty, and not to mention literally being told by the person in question that he should die. Akari felt a little bad, honestly, even when he despised the pig-tailed Sally Face looking bastard, mumbling and lying around like an absolute buffoon. Maybe his sympathy came from the fact that Lucian reminded Akari a lot like himself at one point, but... That was entirely different, right?

Oh, wow Akari, you can relate, so what? Your pathetic ass can't even hold its own in a normal conversation, what makes you think you can confront him about it? What do you think it's gonna do? Make Lucian feel better? Do anything good for him? Not a chance, not a chance.

Akari had the right to remain silent, anything he said can and will be used against him in a court of law, and so he respected those rights.

For once.

”I'll pick the flowers to top my tombstone, since no one else will.”

Name:
Tinya Maelbrook

Gender:
Female

Age:
15

Power: "Midas" Touch - Everything Tinya touches will become an "extent" of herself, becoming sentient in a way. Any object she happens to touch will be under her command, and the longer she is in contact with an object (plus the factor of what the object itself is, as larger and organic ones take more effort), the more said object can be manipulated through a "life-steal" system of sorts. This means that the more Tinya uses an object, the weaker she herself gets. Another downside is that, in order to have control of an object, a part of her body will need to be transferred and "injected" into it, until she stops using the power. This also means that she will feel any damage done to the object, even with distortion from her own manipulation.
For example: If Tinya wanted to use a cardboard box, it would most likely result in her losing a finger temporarily or the box is completely destroyed, which would be much harder to do than a normal box due to being "fortified" by her command. She will then be able to make the box move on its own as if telekinesis is being used. Tinya will also be able to change the shape of the box to her heart's desire, even though it is quite painful as it is similar to breaking multiple bones just to "fold up" a body. The pain is not as amplified as it would be if it was happening to her own body, which she can also manipulate, but it's a large enough fraction that it is still unpleasant.
(If I need to explain anything else or change it, I am glad to do so)
Strength: Tinya is strong in the mental department, and also quite mature and rational. She isn't easily swayed by things that most others would be, such as death or threatening situations. Her cool-headedness could be intimidating, as she is so nonchalant about things that she would be considered insane. Tinya has a small frame, but she is very flexible and quick on her feet. She is also a great actor, and is quite knowledgeable when it comes to fauna, and has no remorse for her actions against others.
Weakness: Tinya lacks empathy and any ability to think for other people, but she is selfish enough to act like she does for the sole purpose of not looking bad. Also, due to her small frame, she is quite weak physically. Unsurprisingly, since i like to cause maximum pain to my characters (this time, quite literally), Tinya has hyperalgesia and allodynia. The former makes her pain tolerance unbearably awful, so the slightest cut could cause much more pain than a normal person would feel. The latter is a condition that could make even the smallest contact with her skin a stinging pain, even clothes could be quite uncomfortable. Sounds like a fun combination, doesn't it? Anyways, some of her strengths are also her weaknesses. At times, she can be a bit too calm about things, not caring enough to properly act upon situations. Her lack of remorse can also make it difficult to determine the right thing to do, or find it worth putting in the effort for other people.
Personality: I pretty much wrote it all in her strengths and weaknesses, but here's some more info I guess. Tinya comes off as a quit, "statue-like" figure who seems to just be "blank" all around. She tries her best to be friendly and a decent people-person, but it's all just an act she puts up to not stand out. Her intentions are not malicious, per-se, but it's not exactly a pleasant trait either. She's generally a decent person to be around, although extremely bland and ominous, but her true colors tend to shine in more serious situations. I guess the rest will be TBRPD, since I am extremely lazy and uncreative.
Personality Type:Logistician, ISTJ-A

Appearance: Picrew, I guess

Tinya is a small, 5'1 girl with a tiny frame. She wears baggy clothes simply for the looks of it, and they are typically in dark, boring colors. She has short, brown and wavy hair that goes to her shoulders and she ties some of it up into a ponytail. Her eyes are steel grey, and she has a constant "bored" expression. There's nothing particularly out of the ordinary about her, and she's all-around pretty bland in general.

Backstory: I'll either edit it in later or it's TBRPD
Sexuality: Pan
Other: Do we need to put our character's district somewhere? Also, I hope this is good enough lol
District 4 Female
Sample of your roleplaying ability: This, mayhaps?

Oh. They were in the middle of something, weren't they? Oh lovely. Gotta love the whole "wrong place, wrong time" thing, how fun.

Oh well, too late now. Couldn't worry about it too much, right?

"Sorry..." he muttered out, bringing his arm out of his pockets to rub the back of his neck out of nervous habit.

"A-Akari! Yes. Everything's... Okay. I think Kubo just might still be recovering... I thought I'd... Stay with him for the night. To make sure he's okay..."

He gave a hesitant nod, now looking directly at the pigtails in blue bastard. Akari could feel the overwhelming amount of angsty, edgy, nervous BS in this room and honestly it was weighing on him. He could understand the situation quite easily, how Lucian was so close to Kubo, but the resulting awkwardness was just too much. Understandable, sure, not like Akari was a stranger to whatever this was, but that didn't really make it any better...

"because, well, we're being ordered back to our dorms, and I can't just leave him here. Like this! You know?"

He stayed silent for a moment, pondering the situation a bit. "...Yeah... Yeah I guess so..." He muttered, slightly under his breath.

A whisper. A faint whisper, from Darcy. He was worried sick, wasn't he? Understandable, I guess, wasn't all that fun when you have to wonder whether someone you care about so much is even dead, right?

"Please... Please don't be dead. If something happened to you, I..."

I'd kill them all.

Burn their bodies to the ground, right Akari? Tear them up limb by limb, make sure the pain they experienced was even a fraction of what you felt?

His face darkened, his head lowered. He didn't say a word. Funny how Daiko took every opportunity they got to make up some edgy BS, wasn't it?

"Do you think they might be... In someone's dorm? I just realized... The last time they were badly injured, Kaoru kept them in her dorm. Maybe someone else did the same!"

"Maybe... Miyako."

Well, that was an idea. Made sense to think that way, it might actually be true. He took a deep breath and shrugged, still keeping quiet as he tagged along.

...And here they were, right back here. It all came full circle, didn't it? He saw Idris through the crack in the door, he saw Miyako talking to them. The former still looked miserable, no surprise there. Akari didn't even greet the two, and again, he didn't say a word. He just kept his head low and stayed at a distance from everyone else. Didn't even bother to say anything to Miyako when she spoke.

"THEY'RE MY BEST FRIEND IN THE WHOLE WORLD, AND THEY'RE BLEEDING OUT ALL OVER THE DAMN PLACE. And I had a feeling, that they might be FREAKING. DEAD!"

Akari flinched at the sudden shouts, his breathing now suddenly having a slight shake to it. Darcy's outburst was a little understandable, sure, but it didn't seem like Miyako knew anything. If she did, it probably wasn't much.

Well, with Monokuma's absurd and annoying announcement, he sighed and began to turn away. It was hard to speak, but he felt the need to at least state his intentions as to not make things worse. "I'll... look around a bit, before curfew I guess..." He stated simply, then walked away.

And oh wow would you look at that, plot convenience my beloved.

As he was roaming around, checking inside rooms, he happened to run into Kubo and Lucian once again. He had been attempting to stay quiet in his search, in case there was a murderer on the loose, so his entrance could've easily went unnoticed if he had just walked away. But nope, thanks to Seren and our beloved ✨plot convenience✨, Akari stayed.

He walked forward and stood near Lucian, looking over in Kubo's general direction. "...Everything... Alright?"

I've got no damn clue how to write man

𝙿𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚘𝚗𝚊𝚕𝚒𝚝𝚢 | 𝙻𝚒𝚔𝚎𝚜 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝙳𝚒𝚜𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎𝚜 - Mei is quite the wild card, able to change instantly at the flip of a dime. Her true emotions, thoughts, and even motives are almost never predictable unless she wants you to know, making her someone you don't want to make enemies of. She is erratic and mischievous, constantly toying with anyone who was unfortunate enough to come near. I'm not good with this stuff, so the rest is TBRPD
Likes? Oh I dunno, she likes being a manipulative jerk, bloodshed, and everything your stereotypical psycho would like :)
Dislikes? Boring stuff, I guess. I dunno she's weird

𝙰𝚙𝚙𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚌𝚎 - Too lazy to put it into words, sucks to be you
