"I doubt not your words." Kynik gestures towards a nearby group in a causal brush of an arm seeming to not want to draw too much attention to it. "You are right. Let's help where we can and hopefully they'll grow to Academy physical standards. As it is, battle mages don't do much standing on the battlefield either. While not quite as deadly as the real world, our stay here is bound to wind up just as much of a battlefield. "

His head snaps towards the sound of Sparmi's announcement and waves goodbye to his talking companion while jogging towards his own place in the Knight's lineup. Maybe they would talk again later.

Standing in place, the man sounds off when it was his turn in the attendance roll and continue waiting further instruction.

Kynik had broken expectations but this wasn't really something unexpected for himself. Enough of the observations it was time to start making connections and getting to know the students he'd be working with for the next three years. Waiting too long would likely leave him with some problems in social circles.

He focuses on the other leg, listening to the reply of the man he'd broken the ice with. "Monsters huh? Could be fun, could be terrifying. Well running in silence is a lot less interesting than running for your life." He runs a few fingers through the front of his hair brushing it away from his forehead on standing up. "They say fighting an animal is a lot different from fighting a person. Just as predictable however the way they work is on a completely different ladder than our level standards." He stretches an arm over the other, cupping his upper arm with a hand.

He looks to the side with a bit of concern watching a good bit of his peers fail to properly access most of potential situations they were getting themselves into. "You know, I kind of feel bad. Given the climb they had us do for the ceremony yesterday, you'd think our classmates would have the idea that if they're making us do something outside this early in the morning that there's a strong possibility of some less than desirable physicality involved."

He switches arms before continuing. "I fear they might regret it if they don't do some form of warm-ups. They mentioned we're going trekking so we're obviously walking somewhere but a trek usually involves... Not having a flat floor. Rough terrain can lead to sprains if you're not careful."

Kynik had continued his stretches looking around as others began crowding in and once again taking up their niches. He stands up on spotting a loner, pausing for a moment to think. He nods to himself jogging over towards Xavier, a friendly grin plastered on his face.

The man waves stopping at a comfortable distance and continuing his stretches. "Hey there!" He says bending over, a hand to grasp his foot in a calf stretch. "Pretty interesting stuff huh? What they expect us to do? A walk in the backwoods?" He chuckles, thoughts swirling with at least a dozen different options on mind. "I'm expecting at least a run."

We trek at six? Kynik yawned in thought having woken up shortly before the morning call having been working on some stretches. He pops himself in the cheeks leaving behind a red mark that would fade before he even reached the door. "Alright that's more like what I expected."

The young man jogs his way down to the food hall with plenty of time to spare. Maybe he could pick up a quick piece of toast before the trek started. Something to chew on, on the way to the field.
If rejected though his disappointment would lead to him taking the next footstep in the direction of the Trek's meetup point.

Either direction taken, he wouldn't find much to do for the last half hour so with students slowly filing in, Kynik would take to doing some warmup stretches. It's best to be limber when traveling long distances on foot.

The man, though long in stride, seemed to have hung back from the many groups of forming niches, mostly having been in observation rather than active participation. The trek up to the shrine and opening ceremony had been a bit of a steep one but not really enough to detour the observer. He was aware of being a little late in his years of starting, other cousins having started the mage course at 16, his parents had retained him hoping he was just a late bloomer in magical application.

Kynik though, aware of his deviance from the family norm, had set sights on the blade, training with the house's Knights when they finally let him on the grounds. Approval 2 years later than his family's norm, he would be starting the academy in the Knight's course at the ripe age of 18.

The trek down the hill was quite the opposite matter. Walking was boring, now flying?
Kynik would have practically bounced his way down the hill, allowing the gravity to take control of his speed, feet only connecting with the ground just long enough to send him off the steep angled grasses into the air again. It wasn't exactly flight but it was a thrilling experience he often experienced at home during morning runs. He reached the bottom, adjusting his footing to avoid falling over and laughed. There were a few others that had likely done the same thing but he watched with a wide grin as the other marched their way down in following.

The food court... had been filling. He might have talked to his neighbor but it wouldn't last beyond small talk. Guidance appearing, the man would end up following Sir Fisch to the appropriate dorm for his course.

Standing at the opening of door, he stands in a wide stance eying the inside. "Other than the uphill march this morning this place seems more pampered than I expected. However, whatever they're doing it must work given their reputation."
He stretches an arm, walking through to the Knight's Dormatories.

Name: Kynik Kuffer
Age: 18
Status (Nobility/Royalty/Commoner/Serf etc.): Lesser Nobility
(I didn't realize the child of a Vassal could be in line to inherit a given title)
Gender/Pronouns: He/Him
Personality:
Generally quick witted, Kynik tends to try and get along with others.
He can be a bit of a jock, using a good portion of his freetime for extra practice with training his body. He does not mind interruption though.
He enjoys people and is fairly loyal when friends are involved.
Appearance:
Standing at 6'2", he's fairly well built with dark chocolate brown hair.
His eyes are a hazel, green with an inner golden brown band.

Back Story:
Kynik comes from the Kuffer Family, long known for producing powerful mages, his father served a vassal position directly under his county's Margrave working as his Military Strategist. Lacking the nack of magic affinity, Kynik swore he'd attend the academy to continue his training of the sword and become a true knight capable of accomplishments to rival his father's own.

He has a younger sister (15) named Olivia.

Mage or Knight: Knight
Magic Elements (Mages only): N/A
Primary Weapon(Knights only): Swords
Secondary Weapon (Knights only): Daggers
Extra:
He prefers a broad sword but is still trained in several other sized blades.

Pet: Toffee
Horse/Male/3 years old
Was raised by Kynik from a colt and is properly saddle trained. Loves attention and can get a little pushy.
Was left at home after Kynik was told he couldn't bring him. His father's probably the one who said no.

-I'm editing this Form as stuff gets brought up in RP so all the information is gathered into one place.

Sorry guys, I know it's been quite a while since I was last on site or posted anything in general(I think it's been a year and a half). I sorta ended up going on Haitus from basically anywhere that I didn't have direct involvement in such as my D&D Twitch Streams.

But Hey~ I have been busy with Art Stuffs so I wanted to give some updates on stuff I've been working on over the last year since I've logged in for the first time in a while.

I mentioned D&D so I'm going to start with that.

I DM on thursdays and my group has quite the... cast of interesting characters so this is a Recent Poster our Living Construct asked for + Some other Stuff related to that game

Party Poster

Living Mushroom Creature Concept

Player Owned House sprite I needed for the Map

The Living Construct and her Alt Dress

A Tileset for making Hobbit Holes, My campaign is run on Roll20 and I use Topdown RPG based Graphics for making my Maps

I'm not just a DM though, I'm also a Player. Over the years I've built up a couple different options I can choose from so I just choose whatever class I'm in the mood for and use the character associated with it.
A couple of my favorites
Show hidden content

Karogh (Half-Orc/Half-Elf - Bard/Druid) and Pen (Homebrew, Shroomoid - Rogue)

Efrisal Altum - Halfling Form, Tempest Cleric
In Homebrew Games, she's a Sea-Dragon(Homebrew) that prefers this unstable Halfling Form(Unable to use Dragon Mechanics when in Humanoid form). - The Form is unstable so she can't touch water or ends up with the corrupted "Mermaid" like form with the sea dragon bottom half and still smol. That would blow her cover so water too close = panic
She's got a big Water Theme.

Other Various pieces I've digitally drawn that I like

Personal Character Vent Piece

A commission I did during a Fundraiser to help a friend/adoptive mom

Apparently this character is a Fox with Velaciraptor Anatomy so it was tricky to figure out haha

Commission of friend's Derpy Doggo characters

I think I've mentioned it before but I'm a huge fan of Pixel Stuff and Animation is one of my specialties.
All of these are commissions
Show hidden content

This top one is actually the animation a friend plays when people follow him on Twitch

-Note I use Gimp to animate by creating each frame individually. All tweens between key frames are created separately as I need them, usually by editing an already existing frame to push it towards the next keyframe. I don't use a specialized animation program.
I just do Frame by Frame Animation

Not Animated but Fakemon I was asked to Design and Sprite by a Client.
Based on the Prompt "Rock/Poison Type Basilisk" and "It's meant to Tank Hits"

Oh and I also make these little things based on the Chao Spriting style from the old Chao Garden minigames on the Gameboy Advanced.
Not going to lie, I've made over 487+(It was 487 last time I counted 2-3 months ago) of these since the last time I posted so I'm just choosing a Select few.
There's one that's glitchy and jumps around so Potential Seizure Warning even though they are smol

As mentioned, I have been busy and I've done a *ton* more art stuff than this, however I'm just going to post a select favorites in each category of that ones I'm allowed to post publicly because otherwise I might crash someone's computer with Image data.
Art is kind of how I make all of my income and I've had lots of opportunities to create a lot of images due to a lot of people I really appreciate.

Thankies c:
I was actually using the default Chalk Brush on my Gimp Program to try to mimic the paint on paper inconsistencies.
Just lots of layering of different hued colours and lots of little strokes like I was actually doing a physical painting. x3
I then used the same brush with the smudge tool when necessary.

Your style is adorbs though

I've actually been quiet busy although a lot can't be posted here because it's privatized and/or for a Company I've been doing work for.
I mostly work in pixeled but I've gotten pretty into Digital Stuff in recent years.

That Patchwork Stuffie is adorable.

@*FlowerDragonStary*
Your style is cute. I especially like the Red & White one.
It reminds me of like a Lion, except with a Red Petal Mane
