"Silver? Wanna form an alliance?" Asked Maple Leaf. Silver paused for a minute before hesitantly replying. "I prefer to work alone in these games... it goes quicker."
Maple Leaf shrugged in reply. "Works for me then. But if you happen to change your mind, I'm always open to new allies."

Maple Leaf hoped down and wandered over to Taco that had just been revived. "Hey Taco, do you want to be allies? I think we'll do an awesome job causing mayhem."

Maple Leaf looked pleased with herself since her team was able to gain immunity. But she couldn't stop to relax now, she still had a long way ahead of her. Maple Leaf glanced over at Silver Spoon who was sitting nearby. "Hey Silver, how's the win feel?"

Silver looked back at her with disgust and sighed. "Sitting in a pile of dreaded goop for so long has made me feel icky on the outside and inside! I knew I shouldn't have joined!"

"And lose the chance for the biggest cash prize ever? I don't think so," replied Maple Leaf.

Silver looked down the cliff and ~~got Vietnam war flashbacks~~ . "I need to plan this strategically," he said out loud. "If I jump to far, I'll end up in the snow, and if I jump to short, I'll also land in the snow. I should-"

"Cannon ball!!!" Shouted Maple Leaf ramming herself into Silver. They both flew off the cliff and thankfully landed in the pool.

"Preposterous!" He shouted. "You ruined my performance!" Maple Leaf rolled her eyes in response. "Yeah, but I couldn't handle anymore of your blabbering. Sometimes, you need to learn to pipe down Silver. That's probably the reason you don't have any friends."

Silver was looking around for other team members (although he wasn't really trying.) He never really tried, except for when it benefited him. He never enjoyed being used for things, and preferred to have his own say in decisions. However, that didn't mean he liked having allies around. He disliked being alone for many reasons... perhaps it was the fear of being vulnerable... or maybe it was something else.

"Alright," said Maple Leaf. "Silver's getting everybody else, so meanwhile, I'm going to start first."

"Since I'm team captian, I think it's fair to have some rules in place. Firstly, everybody has to work together as a team, especially for the first few challenges. That way, we all have an advantage for getting further. Secondly, I want to assign a co-leader in case something happens.

"Alright, where's the rest of my team? I want to hold a quick team meeting," said Maple Leaf looking around. She spotted Silver standing away from everybody else and walked up to him. "Well hello there," said Maple Leaf scaring Silver. "Your on my team...sadly...I need you for a minute to discuss some things."

Silver rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. "And why should I do that?"

Maple Leaf thought for a minute before replying. "Fine. If you help me get everybody on our team, I'll tell Taco to stop scaring you, and maybe I'll be your ally."

Silver thought for a moment before finally agreeing. "Alright," he said hesitantly. "However, if anything goes wrong, don't be surprised I switch..."

Maple Leaf nodded in agreement and stuck out her hand to shake. Silver paused for a moment but relucently shook it back.

Silver fumbled nervously after hearing this news. Team choosing was the most important part... he needed to get on a good team if he wanted any chance of winning.

"Last season was much too complicated." he thought. "The drama with The Thinkers and Loony Balloonies was already too much. And with Candle-"
