	Necro-ing this thread to say it's still happening. And also that you can't put on an item filter for it either. The system doesn't register it as an item. [Read more]

	This is an old and outdated guide. Riako's added a number of updates to the beach since the last time this was updated and the guide doesn't reflect that. Or you're actually using another rod and mistook it for the Old Rod. Happens sometimes. [Read more]

PH runs on a day/night cycle, dependant on whatever Riako's timezone is. You will always be able to see PH time in the bottom left of every page.
I believe that the times switch at 6 am/pm? So 'daytime' will start at 6 am PH time and 12 hours later it'll switch to being 'nighttime'.

Usually I don't bother with any of that and just check the time by hitting the 'Town' tab twice, since the image art for Town will switch depending on whether it's night or day. Much more reliable in my opinion.
