RP Stuff
I have been RPing for 14 years now, starting from humble days on Foopets.
I have experience in Forum, Chat, D&D, LARPing, VR LARPing, and even some non-standard verbal roleplay.

I am looking for more places to RP however I may be a bit slow to start in new places.

Genres:
Medieval
Fantasy
School
Adventure
Action
Warrior/Clan stuff.
How I prefer to RP:
I write in basic to semi-lit in length. So 1-3 Paragraphs usually.
I do not care how much my partners write as long as I can properly form a response to it.
I usually make supporting/background characters and play them that way.
I prefer to roleplay in groups. 1x1 is fine but I'd rather have a lot of people to interact with.

RPs I'm currently in:

Mages And Knights
- I play as Kynik Kuffer, an 18 year old son of a Vassal.
The oddball of the family, he lacks a magic affinity and attends the school for its knight course.
His ultimate goal is to become a Knight capable of rivaling his father's accomplishments.
>If the thread goes long enough time wise that we get a second year, I may introduce his younger sister Olivia.

Welcome to Animela's Ramblings

I've used the username Animela in a lot of places.
If you've seen this username before or something similar, there's chance it might have also been me~
Most just call me Ani. Some call me Mel.

I mostly plan to use my diary for rambling. Sometimes posting Art. Maybe musings, it'll depend on the mood.
I'll try to make the first few posts a little more informative before I get into that though.

Onsite Stuff
[RP Stuff]
[Extra Threads]

I probably would have made one of these earlier but I have a lot of social anxiety so I can be a little slow.
I've been trying to do more stuff that pushes me out of my comfort zone as it's been a lot time since I went into that bubble.
I love meeting new people tho~ o/ I'm just a little shy. That's why I'm putting myself out there even if it's scary.
I apologize if I talk *at* people instead of to them sometimes.
I'm trying to curb the habit of void speaking when talking directly to people.

"Well to be honest, I'm beginning to think it wasn't the school that said no." The male mentioned gesturing towards the large black wolf. "I've seen plenty of animals running around here... although some of them not so behaved. While I don't suspect we'll need to ride often, it would certainly help to have had him around in case we had to go somewhere off campus. We may get field assignments eventually based on how my mother talked about it."

He frowned for a moment but turned his attention back to the young woman sitting next to him. "I may have to write back to try again. I do not know his reasoning for rejection but Toffee is definitely my horse. Wouldn't leave me alone as a colt, and wouldn't leave me alone after he got full grown." Had had begun smiling in remembrance without realizing it but looked to the large creature when she had mentioned it.

"If she'll have me, I wouldn't mind." He raises a hand with fingers wide to let Midnight have an introductory sniff before petting. Unaware to him though, it was possible he was still tainted with the light magic Samton had used on him earlier to rejuvenate and heal him. It was very well possible that Midnight, as a beast of darkness and light's opposite, may not react well to his touch.

"I will admit, my favorite is the broadsword, you could say I'm partial to it. But I've still trained in other types of blade so I can pick it up if push comes to shove. I keep a dagger as my second." Kynik leaned back slightly, propped up on his hands. "It best be, I'm mostly an endurance fighter. It's my job to outlast the opponent." He chuckled amused, his gaze wandering towards the forest nearby.

The boy would continue to listen to her questions, giving them a proper hearing. "None that I know of. The closest thing I've got is a Stallion back home. I inquired about bringing him but the choice was shot down. Likely father just saying no." He sighed, his head lolling slightly to the side with the breath.

"Oh." He blinked having noticed Midnight, sitting up a little straighter. Where had he seen this animal before? "I suppose I'll have to ask as well, I presume you're of the mage courses?"

"Is that why they canceled classes again?" Kynik genuinely didn't know. The woman continued with questions although she had her guesses, fairly accurately so. He smiled in return and gently patted the basket handle of the broad sword that currently stuck out behind him. "I'll say you are correct. I do not have much connection to the elements myself so I am here for the Knight's courses. I've already training in the sword though."

"I was not doing much, more or less wasting time. Classes were cut short so I fancied myself a jog and a break after 2 laps around the lake." The male admitted with a chuckle. He seemed to be prone to talking with his hands though he restrained himself to the best of his ability for as long as his speech were to remain formal. "The view from here is interestig and it seems the lake has plenty of wildlife. I am known as Kynik, by the way. I am pleased to make the acquaintance of such a curious lady."

The young man's eyes were still focused on the fish when his ears picked up the soft sounds of crunching grass. Someone had approached until they were caught in his peripherals. White and Yellow, such bright colors. He turned his head curious about the figure who'd sat next to him.

While he had been in a crouch, which could allow him to stand at any given moment, being joined by a second person, he allowed his bottom to touch the grass, sitting down proper. He blinks, stealing another glance at the girl holding her flowers. He didn't recognize this as one of the students from the ceremony or previous classes. He'd been careful to try to remember those who'd introduced themselves as well. Was she a late comer?

"Salutations M'lady. What brings one such as yourself all the way out here?" He greeted her wave by returning it.

With others making themselves busy after the classes got canceled, Kynik found himself with not much to do. He took off for a jog around the lake, mostly to collect his thoughts. Something was clearly going on and he had found it strange though he had not much information regarding the situation itself. With classes and exams getting canceled one right after another, it was difficult to determine what the schedule here was actually supposed to be.

He made a second lap around the lake, doubling back because of the river that prevented a full circle. By the time he approached the otherside of the river, meeting the blocking waters again, he slowed his pace. Whatever was going on, he hoped for a solution and resolution. He paused knealing by the river's entrance, arms sloped to his knees and sat there in observation, watching some small fish try to swim against the river's current.

The student tilts a head still staring down in the water, lost to his thoughts again.

It didn't take nearly as long as he thought it would. A few more swipes had been exchanged and he had just backed off, avoiding a few thrusts of the lance, and was thinking of which point to try hitting next when the golem crumbled in front of him. Confused, Kynik looked down the field to find that the rest of the golems had crumbled just as well.

His attention diverted to the teacher with a questioning gaze. Why did he stop the testing all of a sudden? No, he could see the man holding his head. The student kept blade on hold, his free hand pushing up at the hair over his forehead. Once again, things were being canceled and all he could do was grimace in disappointment.

Taking the hint as students began moving their way off the field, the brown haired male finally put his broadsword away, patting its handle and jogged towards where the rest of the students had started collecting.

(I think I might need to just... stop waiting. I apologize. xD)

The next task was optional. Kynik wouldn't bother with his sword at first. It would take the students on average longer than he would want to sit down. He plopped himself on the ground on the side lines, allowing the rest of the students to participate in the golem fight first. He sat with a raise knee to lean on, watching his classmates.

The man pulls his hands back so he could lean back on them and glances further down. Some were definitely better than others... and a handful maybe had only recently started their weapons training.

1 minute, 3 minutes, 7.

He gets up from the ground, brushing himself off. He didn't actually need a break but he did want to have that chance to watch the other students in their movements. A strange thing to note but these were the people he would potentially be working with in the future. Scouting talent and skill would be the best way to keep track of what people can and may be able to do later.

Kynik stretched and arm, clasping his wrist. A soft pop emitted, his hands going for a shake after and he made a grab for the blade at his waist. He walks his way down the line, eyeing the students and approaches an unclaimed golem. He grabs it's attention and makes a dash with a small bounce at the end.

He sized up the moving hunk of rock, holding its lance. Letting it take a thrust, he dodges, dodges and then parries the third pushing towards it. The jump carries him against the animated creature, a short swipe aiming for a joint. He lands on the other side and bounces quickly away, turning back towards it.

He'd need to test a few different places for hitting, it was all a matter of timing. Clearly though it was fair bit durable. It was going to take a while.

"Phew man. I cannot believe that actually worked." The man puffed out his cheeks in a long breath, his hand moving to put the broad sword back in its sheath. He genuinely felt surprised, shaking his hands out with a slight bop to his toes bouncing him towards the rest of the group.

If Sir Fisch hadn't already picked himself up, Kynik would offer a hand to help the man up himself. He'd take the opportunity it to shake his hand once he was standing. "Thank you for the chance to fight sir. I'm fairly sure these would not have been the results in a 1 on 1. I truly hope your skill rubs off on me if I work hard enough."

His face turned towards Samton who'd taken to walking back to his own class. "I appreciate your words." He waves with a left hand, his right returning to the hilt at his waist. "It was good working with you all. I'm sure the future will hold greater experiences."

(I really hope you guys weren't waiting on me lol, I was just hoping someone else would jump in too)

Kynik scattered backwards to avoid the thrust, resulting nearly doing the splits with a knee to the ground. He quickly recovered to gain back his footing and twisted to the side, glancing to the other people nearby. While he had wanted the teacher's attention, he had mistaken the curvature of the axe's swing.

He'd run a few feet to the left then spring forward for a feint, quickly jutting back without hitting a mark. The pacing was reversed on the last step backwards, eyes still on the target.

Kynik stepped to the side eyeing as his group began their assault. Eyes watched Sir Fisch with an intense focus, his peripherals following those moving near him. He runs forward, allowing Samton to take the first swing then stepped in when the other student had taken his fall. He followed the arc of the 360 pattern and slammed down at an inwards angle, which should cause the axe to bob just ever so slightly. Pulling in reverse, the upswing would collide with the other weapon once more, thrusting it upwards with its strength holder's own movement behind it.

The student jumped back away from the Axe's opposite forced movement before it could come down, then thrust inwards, feinting at a jab. He'd be attempting to keep at the edge of the professor's range. While his footwork wasn't up to that of a professional's, one could tell he'd had a lot of practice.

Oh... That's... That's not good. Kynik watched as the knight pulled an axe after putting away the sword he had just been using. His careful observations may have little use now for this one... There was a chance... He put a hand up, signaling for the new found group to get closer. "There's a chance his footwork might be different due the weapon change. When we first get into this, focus on dodging. Axes are heavy and they take slightly more time to land but they hurt like the dickens."

He paused, glancing back over at the teacher. "The style of fighting should be similar though despite the weapon change. If you see an opening go for it. Just make sure to pay attention to our group too. If the group moves, move with it. We're bound to end up rotating around him naturally, just don't lose your footing. If you see a break in his pattern, don't be afraid to point it out." The student pulls at the handle of his broad sword, the blade shining as the sun reflected on it. "I'm going to try to keep his attention and break his pattern when I can. Since there's will be 5 of us, let's get a second person focused on pattern break. The other 3 can work to push the break so we can wear him down. Make sure to land your hits successively rather than all at once."

He'd look up again and stand straighter, his stance changing slightly. The blade of his sword lifted to point at the teacher, holding for a few moments. "Sir, today is your lucky day. We plan to put up a good fight, RIGHT GUYS?" He would hope for a chorus in response but composed himself a little lower, his feet spreading in a new posture his sword in position. The side of his mouth raised in excitement. "Let's give it our all."

Fingers twitching at this newly applied feeling, Kynik could feel the tingling sensation as the blood rush started temporarily. He let's out a slow breath, each hidden claw mark stitching itself back together to properly mesh as it had before. When the light fell over him, he glanced upwards.

"I'll make sure to eat plenty." He looked back towards the shoulder, clenching a fist while rotating the arm to test it. It seemed to be working well, any lingering stiffness was just from the tightness of the bandages which had not been removed. He grins satisfied and holds out a hand, offering to shake with Samton. "Thank you for your help, I hope I do not disappoint your friend and I will try my best in the upcoming match. I hope we did not take too much of your time."

Kynik nods holding out the arm with the wounded deltoid. "It's the right one here at the shoulder. I would have just waited for the end of the day but I get the feeling Tien wanted to group with me in the next round with Sir Fisch. " He chuckles giving the mentioned student a wink. "Would hate to disapoint. My right's my main hand though so even though I can fight with my left, it wouldn't be as effective."

He would allow for Samton to heal him, turning his head to watch curiously as the hands approached.

The 18 year old would scratch his cheek a smidge as Samton made his inquiry. "I'm not entirely sure how this works but I had my shoulder threaded this morning during the Exam. I suppose you need to see it?" He says pulling off the jacket of his uniform.

It was fairly obvious that this jacket was probably not the same one he wore during the exam because after it came off it was easy to tell from the shredded and stained area of the shirt's sleeve where the problem was. He had nearly been late to class so his stop at the dorm was just to throw on a new jacket to hide the evidence so he hadn't exactly changed the shirt underneath it.

Depending on Samton's reply, if the wound itself needed to be seen, he would take off the ruined shirt and carefully unwrap the bandages so the magic could be applied. Either way he would allow for it it. "I didn't have much time this morning so the nurse wrapped it and told me not to reopen the wound before sending me on my way. I might have had enough time for it if I'd gotten it fixed before breakfast but I was having trouble getting the professor's attention... And then he told us to go eat so... I took my being ignored as not having permission to leave the grounds until we were dismissed to prepare for our first class."

Kynik snickers at the '5th' typing comment Riley had made, amused at its proposal. Well... She wasn't wrong. There are those who just never could grasp how to hold a sword and just insisted on swinging willy nilly, but they usually didn't last very long in a profession that required you to understand how your weapon works.

To answer the question, a variety of fighters is usually best unless you need a specialized team... Though your makeup can determine the effectiveness of the stunts you pull off." The student admitted with a slight wave of his left hand then listened to Tien's words. "Well if you still wish to hear it, I lean towards Endurance. So dodging, blocking, ectera. I specialize in the broadsword, which is slightly smaller than a longsword by maybe a few inches but I can use other blades if I need to." He'd pat the basketed handle of the weapon he carried with him.

His interest was peaked at the mention of someone who could fix his 'problem' and turned to look directly at Tien. "I suppose it couldn't hurt if we could get it done before the next round. I had to make it quick at the infirmary and was still nearly late to this morning's class so they couldn't do much beyond bandage it." He'd start to prop himself up on one knee preparing to stand with the next sentence. "I brought it back and ended up leaving it at the shrine but I got sidelined by a Puma looking beast some sort of magic to shift its form into a shadow so I've got a couple claw marks. Didn't have time to change my shirt and threw on a new jacket so I'm sure you'll see what I mean when I start peeling fabric."

He laughs slightly, brushing himself off in the process. "I will admit, I really wasn't feeling too good until lunch but I'm glad I didn't end up its breakfast. It bit off just a little more than it could chew."

Kynik nods in agreement still watching. "And that's why they're having trouble keeping up with him. That hop back to avoid him is when the other 2 should jump in to form a triangle and land their blows. The only way to avoid the secondary wave in that moment is a wide swing but that would leave him wide open to the first the moment he meets the the other two."

"I admit, I had plenty of time to observe the knights at home when I wasn't practicing. So I've had my basic training but I've also acted as an observer. Father says getting to know how a person moves will help in knowing where to place them later. There are 4 types of fighters when it comes to the blade. Their style of fighting is secondary and should be tailored to their type. Two different types might learn the same fighting style but their typing may influence *how* they use it."

A finger is held up where the other two could see it. "The first is the Speed type. Dextrous fighters who don't hit hard but have more opportunities to do so. They take advantage of openings that open up naturally."

The second is Strength. These are your heavy hitters but they tend to have a slower swing. A second finger had popped up but after this it was joined by a third. "Your Endurance types will focus on dodging and wearing down the opponent. They might not swing as often but it's about using your opponents movements against them."

A fourth finger, and thus last one, was held up. And then there's the Technique types. Flexible movements to confuse their opponent and take advantage of the openings they create. The longer a battle goes on the more you learn about their fighting style but their type can be discerned in the first couple movements. It really just gives you an idea what to look for."

"Sir Fisch seems like a Strength Type but while it's inefficient, the fighting style makes up for the lag so it suits him. Strength types focus on getting the job done early in battle before their stamina runs out."
