In case you haven't noticed yet, I love using my diary as a place to rant :'D

The following is not aimed at anyone on PH. This is merely about an argument I got into on 9gag.

So, I got into this argument in the comments of a 9gag post. This user believed that because we've been providing aid to African countries for years and "nothing has changed", we should just let them die now.

I felt pretty annoyed at that especially since they brought up how "it's natural selection". Obviously, that's not true. There's nothing natural about being born with or without privilege. I grew up with a privileged childhood - I know that. And that's why I don't believe anyone on the internet (well anyone that has internet most likely grew up with food on their tables) has the right to act all haughty. None of your work is entirely yours - it's partly luck.

Since we're more privileged, we shouldn't be saying that they deserve to die. We should be helping those less fortunate and not saying they "should just work harder".

What got me more angry was that when I explained this, the other user replied and said that it's like how a lion has sharper claws and strong muscles than a bird so the lion lives. I think anyone with basic biology knowledge would know that that's not how it works. Natural selection refers to the fact that a species will evolve to become more suited for survival due to less suited members of the species dying off before being able to procreate. The thing is, the African situation isn't about genes - it's about whether or not you're born in a war zone.

As for how the auction house works, there is always a slight lag in getting the pokemon/returning of money because it's done in rounds of (I think) 5 minutes. Always go into 'all auctions' and check the first few auctions - they'll usually say "... minutes ago" which means the auction is still in the auction house. Once it's gone, you'll get the money/the pokemon.

Just wondering... how exactly do you know that a mod's friend hasn't had to deal with the consequences? Not everyone declares it to the world when they get a warning. It's meant to be confidential - just because you didn't see a lock, doesn't mean consequences weren't inflicted. We most definitely try our best to not be biased.

Secondly, if you believe someone has said something inappropriate, report it. We aren't robots. We cannot immediately see everything that has been posted - that's why there's a report button.

I believe it's my shiny sawsbuck (summer)? ^^ What do you think when a poor Raichu is abandoned becuase it evolved from Pikachu accidentally and the trainer hates the evolution? Ehhh? The thing is though, this is something that would go completely against how the game works. We've simply made more ways to get eggs which would make sense with the real game since it makes sense that there might be wild eggs in the grass. We already know from in game that shiny pokemon don't increase the chances of more shinies.

Secondly, I'm not sure what you mean by the rest of what you said? You've said 25% not 2.5% in your first post.

	No support. Considering the fact that the current highest possible shiny percentage is around 2% (yeahhhh I can't remember the exact number), your suggestion will greatly deflate the price of shinies. Secondly, there is no increase in shiny chance for using shiny in the real games (that I'm aware of) so I don't particularly see why it should increase the chances here. [Read more]

	The correct tag is [L] which you need to add to the title of this thread. Also, you cannot buy the prizes later. That's very unreliable as you can't be sure that you'll find a seller. Since nobody has entered yet, please change the prizes to something you already have. [Read more]
