Pack Leader cocked his eyebrows at this. "Oh, FurryWand, you should know by now, that we are as full of secrets as you are of rudness. But SmallFight is your leader, am I wrong?" He raised the spines along his back and whipped his serpentine tail behind himself. This was growing tedious.

Without warning, he raised his head and howled. Dogs replied with the same message and things crashed through the undergrowth. The dogs who had run away glared at the two Pokémon. Pack Leader raised his head, showing his dominance over the tiny creatures.

The Pack Leader was startled. As his blue protection light shimmered around him, the distant ping of pebbles bouncing on his shield didn't reach him but hit his thoughts. "You can talk, SmallFight?" He addressed the giraffe with a curious amusement. A dog attacked Flare and Pack Leader snapped at him to stop. The dog whimpered to show the huge scaled dog's dominance over himself.

As the dogs flew out of the path of the charging giraffe, the Pack Leader snorted. Seriously? He felt the hidden power of the creature tug at his chest, willing him to move, but his will was iron. He clicked its tongue against his teeth, kindling a spark and blew out a furiously blue flame, right at Dalia.

The attacks aimed against the Pack Leader were all blocked by other dogs jumping into the path of the attacks. As a psybeam shocked a dog and burned the same one, it sped away, kicking up clumps of dirt and grass. Psychic plowed a path for Flare, carving some dogs out of the way.

The Pack Leader tusseled with Dalia and snapped at her neck, the blows doing not a lot. It sprang off her and began to advance towards Flare, howling. The other dogs replied with snarls of their own and began to circle once again. A dog dropped from the tree on to Flare! The dogs she used psychic and fire blast on howled... two fled from the battle.

The Pack leader howled and flared out his scales, showing off their razor sharp scales. From the tips, a blue light formed in front of its face. The flames bounced off the invisible shield. Girafrig's glowing purple aura snaked towards the leader, only to be stopped by the mental shield. Two dogs were attacked with Psybeam, but both howled and continued to advance. Another dog was flung into a tree, where it immediately began to climb upwards.

A dog yowled as flames licked its side and it fled, kicking up grit behind it. The two dogs howled as they were sent crashing into a tree. As Dalia tried to bite, her teeth glanced off the hard scales, doing nothing to dog. The others growled and slunk to the ground as a huge alpha male padded up slowly, his muscles bunching as it strode calmly towards the two Pokemon. The other dogs watched it with a fervent intensity. It howled loudly and a few moments later, the pack attacked.
