Shadow saw Alex practicing dagger fighting on a dummy, and walked over to give him a few tips. “Stand like this, he demonstrated, and when you thrust, you want to lunge forward, like this. Also, the best grips for me is with the thumb braced, and there are different ways to hold the dagger for different effects. Also, you always want to stay in a defensive pose. Shadow yawned. He was tired from all the action and emotional diffusing. It was time to retire to hid comfy little beanbag, and get a good nights rest without any more conflicts. However, before drifting off, Shadow had one more thought. If the group’s friendships were to stay together, he, and maybe Lyra (Silver might have been to blunt), would have to confront Alex. Then again, bluntness might have been what they needed.

Shadow was torn. Should he go after Silver and Alex, or back to the guild with Lyra? After a minute or so of intense decision making, he decided to go after Lyra. After all, Alex’s situation wasn’t fatal, and Lyra’s feeling were hurt. If he were to keep the group together, he should make them all feel like they were appreciated.

Before he went, he made sure to pick up all the coins. No embers, though. He would be sure to split up the reward once Alex and Silver came back.

Hey, Lyra, come back! Shadow called after her. “What’s up? Is something wrong? We need you and your potions if we’re going to help Alex.” Everyone is splitting apart, Shadow thought. At this rate, we’re all gonna be injured or even dead. “Sigh”, I wish I could have prevented it. Not as bad as a death, but seeing Alex and Lyra so discouraged, I’m afriad for what’s to come.

Shadow raced around the corner. “I was defending some villagers. What happened?” Then he saw the cafe. “Oh. It’s not your fault. Without us, the whole village would have been destroyed. “After you!” Shadow exclaimed! It was time for his second quest and he was pumped! After watching Silver flying, He had an idea. Pulling out his grappling hook, he launched it towards the town, and caught it on a streetlight. Pressing the trigger, he blew past Alex. “Wheeee” he laughed.
This is how it feels to fly!
Inside Shadow was bubbling up with joy. He felt so free! Then he thought of his friends. Wouldn’t they want to feel this feeling too?

Alright everyone. Lets just go. After checking out the bulletin boards, Shadow asks “how about we head into the mines. We might even find an ember while trying to defeat the dragons. However, I heard that those dragons are great at maneuvering in tight spaces, and have a great space of smell. They also have really tight scales and some over their eyes, as an adaptation to the dirt. Since we are in their territory, we gotta be careful.”
