Maya ignored her, instead pulling on the hood of her cloak. Instead of pulling it up over her head, she pulled it up and off, leaving it on the ground without missing a beat. Underneath was her black tunic and pants, which were quickly getting soaked, but she didn’t care.

Maya didn’t respond, she had gotten up and was tending to a small wound that ran from the tip of her thumb to her wrist. She was stitching it, rather than healing.

Her green eyes were dull and disoriented.
