A human! He dared, not only to approach her, but speak to her as well? Selinia opened her mouth to snarl at the stupid ape, immediately swallowing a quart of sea water. She gagged, choking on the salty liquid, before being tossed beneath the waves by the newest swell. She tumbled through the water, unable to control her swirling in this form. Bobbing back to the surface, she instinctively clutched at the wooden board. She glanced up at the human above her. She tried to speak, but her throat twisted strangely. All that came out was a harsh, scraping noise that she couldn't understand. Her words, in actuality, were a very broken form of Russian, a language which she ironically could not understand. "vzyat' nas k beregu obez'yanu!" She gagged out. Her free arm wrapped around Leo's pale wriggling body, hoping to keep him from drowning himself. She felt so... Strange in this form. Fragile. Weak. Almost... Diseased! Her beautiful crest, off which she had been so proud, had been reduced to nothing more than a mat of blue tangles. Her body... This pale shrunken form, so weak and lumpen. But she would bare it for Leona. Hopefully this monkey would get the message and pull them to shore soon.

He watched the woman on the monitors silently. So graceful, each twist and motion so elegantly fluid. Truly a masterpiece of nature. She seemed to be resting now. Time to have a closer look at his purchase. Standing, he moved to the door, pausing for a moment before opening it to the crisp mountain air. He walked swiftly to the sandy beach area, staring at the flat water before him. Slipping out of his robe, he dressed himself in a wetsuit and flippers, minus an air tank. Instead, he slipped on a dark purple mask, designed to look like the face of a male Mer. Soon he was in the frigid water, barely making a sound. The icy temperature urged him forward, down deep to the bottom. He made his way through the large mansion, quietly seating himself near the Mer woman. And he waited. For what he did not know. Only that he would wait a lifetime for it.

"No don't touch him!" Selinia's voice carried a bite she hadn't been expecting. Why had she done that? Sure she was defensive of him, but that had been much fiercer than unusual. "Stupid girl! Don't piss her off now that she's helping!" She schooled her face, forcing a calm "in control" expression. "Sorry, it's just that he might accidentally hurt you. He's in a dangerous state now, so we need to get him someplace calm and safe." The boy wretched, a black tar substance dripping from his lips, before slumping against Vennidal. His face was relaxed now as he leaned on her shoulder. His breathing was normal and he seemed to be fine, but a worried look crossed Vennidal's face. "That's not supposed to happen... He shouldn't have calmed like that!" The girl glanced up at the woman next to her. "I think it's safe now. Could you carry him? I can't hold him up like this very long."

The boy sat on the bed. No not really. It was in his mind. But it felt real. He could feel the sheets beneath him, the sheets that weren't really there. But they were there, just in his mind! He giggled, unable to help himself. He always got confused when he thought about to hard about this place. The room around him felt so familiar, but he never could remember why. Why was a dark bedroom the place his mind conjured up for him? Why did he feel so safe here? "The Monsters" Oh yeah. He'd forgot about them for a second. What was taking them so long? They were keeping him waiting tonight! Hopping off the bed, he popped open the closet doors, but found nothing behind them. Where were they? Moving to the door, he accidentally stepped on a yellow plastic brick. After several seconds of painful one-legged hopping, he stumbled out the door and into the hallway. Nothing there either. Something was wrong... He tried to peak out the windows along the hall, but he was to short. From where he was, all he could see was empty black. "Dark, but not empty" A creak rang out from the end of the hall. Slowly, the boy turned to see two pale white eyes staring at him. "He took them. The man at the tavern. He pulled them out of you and took them away. His blood turned to ice at the words. The man. He remembered now! The man was evil. He killed them! He needed to pay, to DIE. "I am trapped here. I cannot leave without them here. I am stuck forever unless she can restore them to me. While I wait, let's......play a game."

The lionfish's antics brought a small smile to Selinia's face. "What would I do without you little buddy?" A plan flashed through her head suddenly. It was... Certifiably insane, and had no chance of working ever. PERFECT. She scooped the fish under her arm before taking off towards shore. "Let's go save her Leo." She approached the sandy beach rapidly, noting the presence of humans all along it. No matter. She would think of something surely. She stopped about 100 yards from the beach, releasing Leo. "I'd just like to apologize before I do this. I would have asked permission first, but... well you know." She moved back a few feet. "This might sting a bit. Just... swim up when it's done." And with that, she began to sing. A soft gentle melody echoed through the water, each note appearing as a glowing bubble. They shone a vibrant blue as they swirled around them, but they changed to a deep red as the song took a darker tone. The sound was harsh, angry even, and grated the nerves. Selinia felt her body growing uncomfortably hot, as her skin was bombarded by the mugic. Soon, real pain raced across her bones as they shifted, rearranging to fit her knew body structure. A moment later and the song cut short, her Mer vocal cords shrinking to a near useless range. Her underwater vision had become nearly zero. Her small body began to float upwards, signaling that the transformation was complete. Breaching the surface, she gasped for air, a strange sensation for sure. She bobbed in the cool water, trying to find the shore. As she swirled about, she realized that she had forgotten on VERY important detail.

(Nothing on the mystery man for now. He's busy doing stuff, and... things CX)

The man was looking at them... Or at him? The boys body shivered at the icy gaze, his heart pounding in his ears. Panic began to set in as a low screaming grew in his mind. His pupils contracted to pinpricks and sweat dripped from his clenched fists. The man... He knew him...NO NO NO... The nightmares clawing at his mind... STOP THE SCREAMING... The noise grew in his mind, like wails of the damned echoing up from his soul, until he knew nothing but the screaming. THE MONSTERS WERE COMING FOR HIM. HE MUST FEED THEM.

A devious smile played across Vennidal's face at the woman's words. So heartfelt, as if she had felt the pain of mistreatment herself. She shouldn't be so trusting. Her breed knew betrayal better than most, but her maternal instincts must have overpowered her better judgment. She would learn though. A dragon must always be careful. The girl threw her arms around the woman, pressing into her neck. "Oh thank you, thank you! I like caves, and as long as I'm with him, Brother won't be scared" She turned to look at the boy "Right Bro-" Her eyes widened at the sight. The small boy had slumped slightly, as he stared at the odd man. His wide eyes were streaming tears and the "whites" were beginning to darken to a deep ebony. She wasn't all that worried about that though. What frightened her was the fact that he was floating three inches above the floorboards. She spun back to the woman, losing all semblance of childishness. "Listen. We have to leave now." She hissed with deadly seriousness. "If we don't, people are going to die!" She grabbed the boy's hand, turning him to face her. His dead eyes stared straight through her, as his puipils began to glow white. "Shhhh, it's all right little one. The screams can't hurt you when I'm here. You don't have to be afraid." She stroked his hair softly, humming a calming tune. "Please brother..." Her voice was tinged with desperation and real tears were threatening to well up in her eyes. The other patrons still hadn't noticed the scene taking lace in the corner.

He immediately felt bad for making the poor woman change languages. Her diction was terrible for one, and she didn't seem at all comfortable with the tone. Pulling the mic close again, he spoke. "I just realized how rude of me it is to have you, my guest, speak anything but your native tongue. Please forgive me." Clearing his throat, he began to speak fluent Mer, though with a distinctly "human" accent. "Now then. I will answer your questions very soon, but I have some business to attend to before we can speak properly. For now, please feel free to explore. Everything is yours to do with as you see fit." And with that, the mic went dead.

Selinia scooped up the lion fish, stroking his spines gently. "Leo I'm so glad to see you! Leona has gone missing, and SHE said that humans took her, but I don't know if I cant tust HER, but if humans did take her than she could be in a zoo or worse, and I'm so worried about her..." Black tears were forming in her eyes, and soon she was sobbing a great cloud of ink. She cried and cried for a long while, letting all her stress and worry wash away in the cleansing flow. When she was finally able to control herself, her body felt new and fresh. She had to be strong. This was the kind of thing she had always trained for. All the fighting and killing... This would truly mean something. A Mer had been taken away by humans, and she would be the one to rescue her. War was on the horizon. And she planned to win it

He leaned back in his chair, gazing at the beautiful creature before him. She had found one of the cameras and was now studying it carefully. He smiled. What was she thinking? She obviously didn't fear man made objects, which was to be expected for her intelligence. Her eyes flicked back and forth, as the sun glinted off her spines. He briefly considered staying quiet, content to simply gaze at her. But no. He should at least let her know what had happened. That is, assuming she knew English. Leaning forward, he snatched up the PA mic and pressed the talk button. "Good evening madam. You need not be afraid. You are safe here. Can you understand me?"

Selinia slowly approached Leona's quiet home. The light from glow rocks shone through the open windows. She flew forward suddenly, straight through the nearest window, hoping to startle her friend. Silence. "Leona?" She called, her heart sinking in dread. "Leona where are you?" No answer. The building was empty. So SHE was right. Leona was missing. Her nails bit into her palms, as rage flooded through her. Stinking apes! They would pay!

A dagger of cold shot down the boys spine, coating his mind like tar. He turned slowly from the table, staring at the new man. Something in his mind whispered that "he'd been there all along," but he knew better. That whisper... It was foreign, sickly. The man himself reeked of death, so much so that the boy wondered how the other patrons couldn't taste it in the air. The man was wrong. He was... Dead inside.

Vennidal giggled at the strange woman's words. She was very pretty, and she had such captivating eyes. So innocent and calm, but with the fierceness of brimstone behind them. Fitting eyes for such a beautiful dragon. She gave the woman a mischievous grin, but before she could say speak something tugged on her dress. She glanced at her brother feeling the fear in his eyes. "What's wrong?" The small boy was practically trembling, as he nodded towards the man. Vennidal stared at him curiously. Something seemed off about him. Something... Unnatural. As if he trying to fake being alive. "Lady I like you. You're very pretty too. Could we come with you?" She gave the woman her best puppy dog eyes. "The owner keeps us as servants here, and makes us steal stuff for food and beds." She managed to work up some tears, hoping that would sell it for the woman.

Selinia blasted across the sea floor, throwing up a plume of sand and shellfish in her wake. Her mind flew through all the terrible scenarios conjured up by HER words. Images of sushi nearly caused her to vomit, pressing her to swim even faster. The speed she was going would have made sailfish look like a clownfish! She was rapidly approaching the large cliff face leading up to the Loe, with all its color and sunlight. She much preferred her dark quiet cave deep within the Hye. It was so much more peaceful... Shaking herself, she realized how close she was to the rock wall. She pulled up sharply, barely avoiding a mach speed face plant. She soared up into the warm sunlit waters above, basking in the warm glow of great yellow star. Her mind felt soothed by the light. Perhaps there was nothing wrong at all. SHE was known to make mistakes before... Yes that was probably it. Leona was fine. She would be in her home, engrossed in some new project of hers. She could see her now, whirling about doing whatever it is she did all day. You never could quite tell what it was, but she was always busy with something! Selinia smiled, her eyes closed. So peaceful in the ocean.

What she happened to forget was the fact that she was still moving at a frightening speed towards the surface. Within moments she broke the surface, flying high into the air. She gave a startled cry as she crested, falling swiftly back into the waves below. She drifted in the water for a moment, stunned, before a high grin plastered itself across her face. She burst out laughing, the thrill of the leap rushing through her, sending every nerve tingling. Those dolphins were really on to something with this! That had been amazing! She had to get Leona to try that. Turning quickly, she swam off in the direction of Leona's home.

He gazed out across the lake from the large window. He moved away, back to the large monitors on the wall. Each one was tuned to a different of the massive building. The place was practically a palace, and it had cost a fortune. It had cost even more to sink it. He looked out again at his salt water lake, and the hidden wonder beneath it. To anyone walking by, not that they would considering the 400 miles of dense forest surrounding it, it would appear to be nothing more than an unusually sodium rich body of water. But below those churning waves, 200 meters down, lay an exquisite mansion, complete with garden courtyard. Every last detail was sculpted for one purpose. The comfort and luxurious living of the mermaid...

The tall, well dressed man passed their hiding place, unaware of the two children's presence. Vennidal crept out, making sure no one else was out on the street. She quickly motioned to her brother. The boy followed her out quietly, as they stalked the man ahead. He was an odd one for sure, some sort of royal, and almost certainly lugging a hefty bit of change. The two moved closer, now within ten feet of him. Glancing at her brother, Vennidal held out her fingers. Three. Two. One. Go! They raced forward, knocking into either side of him as they flew past. With quick fingers, she was able to snag the mans coin purse. Both children bolted into the night, racing down alleys and back streets, until finally coming a stop in front of the tavern. They stood panting for a moment before turning to grin at each other. They soon devolved into a giggling mess, basking in the thrill of their "villainy." Her brother calmed himself, pointing at the building. His soft words pulled her slowly out of her fit. "Y-you're right brother. We surely don't want master to be angry." The two pushed and shoved to be first in, giggling and tripping across the tavern floor, dodging serving maids and over enthusiastic patrons. They sucked behind the counter. Their "master," the owner of the establishment, plucked the bag of coins from Vennidal's finger, glancing at the contents, before giving her a pat on the head. "Very nice. You two did good tonight. Now I've got one more thing for the two of ya." The man subtly gestured across the room. "See that one over in the corner? I'm not likin the look of 'er. You know 'ow I feel about strangers, specially dark shady ones 'oo sit in the corner starin at ery'body. Just... Go see if you kin find anythin out about 'er." The two nodded. "Yes sir," before rushing out into the crowd. The two were well known by most of the regular patrons, acting almost as "mascots" for the place. A few smiled at them, some tossing small food items to them, which they gleefully excepted. The two slowly made their way through the tables, talking (at least Vennidal) and laughing with friends, inching ever closer to the strange woman. Vennidal scooted into the chair next to the woman, her brother standing across the table staring at the hooded woman. "You look lonely. Why sit hear all by yourself?" She asked, not at all shy.

The woman in the tank swirled through the water, thrashing and snarling, pulling excited claps and cheers from the crowd. As if she was some dolphin, or exotic fish. Pathetic. They could not fathom the value of the creature before them. He studied her from beneath his hood. Roughly nine feet, good coloring, gleaming spines along beautiful fins...... Shapely curves. An image of perfection. She deserved better than to be gawked at here. Turning, he moved quickly through the hordes of people. He soon reached the front desk, pushing ahead of a young couple. "I'm going to need to speak with the CEO of this establishment." The woman at the counter glanced up at him, speaking in a low monotone. "I'm sorry sir that won't be possible." He laughed, shaking his head. "I don't think you understand. Let's try this again. I'm GOING to speak with the CEO of this establishment." He pulled back his hood slightly, before passing an envelope across the counter. Glancing again the woman's eyes widened. "I umm... Oh dear. Y-yes sir, right this way sir." She pocketed the envelope before leading him down a series of hallways to a subtle looking wooden door. He entered, shitting it behind him. The woman stood close to the door, trying to hear the conversation inside. After a few minutes she heard the CEO's voice cry "Good lord man, how much?!" Another few minutes and the hooded man exited with a small folder. He smirked at the clerk. "I'd be expecting a nice raise in you future." He disappeared quickly down the hall. The CEO called to her from inside, "Mary! Close off the mermaid section quickly! Tell the keepers to grab the tranqs!"

Blub....blub....

Something was wrong.

Hisssssss...........

"What is it? Tell me the secret..." A few soft hums echoed through the cavern. "Speak little one. Let me understand you whispers..." The water around Selinia shifted slightly, pulling against her body. "No need to be shy little one... I am your friend... You can trust me with your secrets..." A few more hummed bars and the water swirled gently, it's soft currents brushing against her ear. "Why do you still hide things from me child? Why do you call to Leona so frantically? I know you are greater than I, you understand so much more, but if you want help you must tell me what's wrong..." And she was given her answer. The stream of knowledge flowed in a jumbled mess, each piece pressing for her attention. "Apes.... Surface..... Leona..... Don't know..... Where Where WHERE..... Taken...... Lost..... Danger..... Hate..... WAR..... WAR..... WAR.....WAR!"The woman in the tank swirled through the water, thrashing and snarling, pulling excited claps and cheers from the crowd. Apes probably means humans..." Selinia clenched her fists. What had happened? Had Leona really been snatched by the surface dwellers? The little one had been know to over react to simple mistakes before, so she would just have to figure this out for herself. But if she really has been taken... Then there would indeed be war.

Name: Selinia
Gender: Female
Age: 63
Human, mer, other: A rare species of Mer
Appearance:

Powers(if applicable): Very strong, but that can be attributed to her species. Her parents tried to teach her the magical arts but she was never very good most of them. The only thing she ever seemed to excel at was Mugic, the art of weaving magic into songs. This ancient art can be used for great good, with beautiful notes healing hearts and flesh alike. However, it can also bring great evil as well...
History: She doesn't talk much about her past, though many assume she was involved in a traumatic event with humans. She despises the land dwellers above all, swing them as lower than sea scum. Though she is still quite young for her people, she has made a name for herself as a "freedom fighter", killing humans when she can, hoping to one day conquer the surface world. From the first day she met her, Selinia became infatuated with Leona, treating her as her sister and even referring to her as such. When it comes to Mer you would be hard pressed to find one more likable than Selinia, though she does have quite the ego as well

(I have a human character in mind, but as an interesting twist, I'm going to wait to put a form for him C:< All you get for now is an image)

[[ HUNTER, HUMAN, DRAGON, ANGEL, DEMON OR OTHER? ]] Other. Appears to be a human child.

~> [[ WEAPON OF CHOICE? ]] Small dagger. Not a good fighter

~> [[ ABILITY? If applicable]] ???
~> [[ SPECIES? If applicable]] ???

[[ APPEARANCE (description is preferable.) ]] She is a thin girl, almost to the point of malnutrition, with very sharp facial features. Her deep green eyes seem rather large for her face, even more so when paired with milky white skin. Her hair brown reaches all the way to her waist, and is flecked with streams of a vibrant purple hue. She only has one dress, a slightly ragged blue gown, and she never wears shoes. Even with her rather grungy appearance, she cleans her hands obsessively clean.

[[ PERSONALITY ]] Very serious and mature for her age. She is always with her brother, protecting him as best she can. You will almost never see one without the other. The rest to be RP'ed

[[ HISTORY ]] None

[[ NAME ]] None (referred to as "Brother" by Vennidal)

[[ GENDER/SEXUALITY ]] Male; No sexuality

[[ AGE (demons are immortal, to some degree.) ]] 8-9 years

[[ HUNTER, HUMAN, DRAGON, ANGEL, DEMON OR OTHER? ]] Human (Mostly)

~> [[ WEAPON OF CHOICE? ]] None

~> [[ ABILITY? If applicable]] ???

[[ APPEARANCE (description is preferable.) ]] He's a small boy, even more scrawny than Vennidal, with short black hair framing his thin face. His eyes are a pale, rather soulless looking, grey color and are constantly bloodshot from lack of sleep. He fashioned himself a pair of makeshift glasses from bits of leather, metal, and glass he could scrounge. They're not perfect by any means, but they serve their purpose well enough, helping to correct his nearsightedness. The contraption wears more like a pair of goggles than glasses, with a leather strap wrapping around to hold them in place. Combined with his frazzled him, it gives him a cute "mad scientist" look. He wears a ragged pair of one-size-too-big grey pants, and a black shirt with white stripes. Like Vennidal, he wears no shoes

[[ PERSONALITY ]] He almost never talks to anyone, only speaking in hushed tones to Vennidal. When others are around, friends or strangers alike, he will whisper in her ear, having her speak for him. He is a very timid child, starting at almost everything. He is especially afraid of the dark, and suffers from chronic night terrors. You can imagine the effect this kind of stress puts on a young child's nerves... Further details to be RP'ed

Ellenor stared down at the Zoroak and the dress. The sparkling gown was truly something to behold, but she wasn't exactly paying attention to that. Heat flashed across her face, and her pale skin lit up like a Christmas bauble. She fidgeted in her chair, practically unable to form sentences. "I- Uhh... Wow you're really- I mean... This is... Wow." She shook her head slightly. "Come on girl, pull yourself together! You've done this plenty of times before. It not like it's you first time seeing someone like that." Even with her mental scolding, she could tell this was different somehow. No one had had this extreme effect on her before, no matter how attractive! Having composed herself slightly, she stood up on her throne. "Th-Thank you so very much for these gifts. I couldn't ask for anything better. Because of this, I'm going to give you something special..." She held out her hand, a small red stone quickly forming in her palm. The stone flickered with light, like a tiny red star. She tossed the gem to the oldest man in the offering group. "I assume you know what that is, yes?" The grey haired Shiftry clutched the rock tight, nodding his head furiously. "Good. Use it wisely." She beckoned to the Zoroak, her face still a light pink. "Come, sit with me."

(I have returned!)

Navi flashed irritability at Quill's words. She buzzed Link's head for a moment before turning back to the boy. "Speak for yourself kid! Link is way stronger than you. He has the Hylia's shield, the Arrows of Light, and the Master Sword, which may I remind you, is the only thing that actually hurt that thing. Link's fought monsters and demons and the incarnation of evil itself! He was even given the most powerful weapon of all, the Fi-" Link snatched the Fairy out of the air, effectively silencing her. He didn't bother to comment on his actions, instead turning his attention back to Springtrap. He blinked, surprised to find the creatures had vanished, along with it's friends. "Damn their fast" He watched in silence as Quill rushed off. "The boy is a liability to both us and himself. He did hear the sounds those lycans made right? Does he really think he has any chance of standing up to that?"

Springtrap watched the boy fly quickly into the forest. He stayed well away, making certain he would not be seen. His prey had come back to him, as he knew it would. Soon. Very soon.

Hoodie shook his head slightly. "I do appreciate you apology, and except it wholeheartedly. We have made out share of mistakes as well, and for that, I apologize as well. Now, please, ask us anything. You are among friends."

Hoodie glanced as Taker, wonder what Galadriel could want at a time like this. He turned back to the group. "Keep watch for a minute while Taker and I talk with Galadriel." He sat closing his eyes, attempting to link with Galadriel's mind. Skin-Taker did the same, his eyes dimming to a dull grey. They connected a moment later, almost like a three way phone call. [i]"What do you need? Something pretty bad must be going on if your asking for us!"

Link stared at the yellow beast at the forest edge. It stared back, it's plastic eyes blinking every so often. As long as he kept watching, it didn't seem to be able to move quickly. Or perhaps it was just biding it's time. Epona pawed nervously at the turf. Link quickly noticed why. Five more figures stood in the fog, each seemingly burnt and ruined. They too simply stared, though one was giving off an odd static sound as well.

Vannister's body had grown quite numb as the great beast loped through the woods. He tried to look around, to focus on anything at all, but was unable. He was just so tired. A jerk from the wolf brought his senses back. He couldn't let himself fall asleep! He began deliberately counting from 1-100, in an attempt to keep his mind focused. He probably sounded delirious, his words growing more slurred with each passing second. A few minutes later and they were at the cave. Bounding inside, the wolf lay Vannister down on the floor. The creature then backed away, lying down a few yards away. By this time Vannister was nearly unconscious, only faintly muttering his numbers. His mind was elsewhere now, lost in his own nightmares. In his mind he walked alone through the cold embers that were once his home town. Only one structure had survived. He stared at the gallows, where so many had hung. Falling to his knees, he couldn't hold back the tears. Grief was all he felt. Grief was all he knew. A gust of wind passed through the blackened streets, gently swinging the trees terrible fruit. She looked so peaceful, as though she had just been put to sleep. He could feel something around him. Life, surrounding him, coating his mind. Warm breath puffed on him from behind. He turned, surprised to find himself faced by a Dire-Wolf, cubs in tow. She stared at him, totally at ease. The forest came alive with sound, as creatures of all shapes and sizes poured from the trees. They gathered around him, as he sat in silence. The forest had come to comfort him. It had accepted him for what he was, and welcomed him. The Dire-Wolves gathered, pack wars put aside for now, to show him he was not alone. The phantom bear stared at Galadriel. She thought he was evil his body began to melt, lacks bed fur changing to a ghostly white. Hoodie wasn't entirely clear on who the ships were from but the others obviously thought of them as enemies. Without thinking, he blasted an EMP pulse upwards. Ships fell from the sky, unable to stay airborn without their electrical items.

He was just so cheerful and full of life, the polar opposite of his sister, and the only god she'd ever considered going after. She waved at him, putting the wish tag aside. "Are you sure it wasn't the weight of your antlers slowing you down?" She knew her flirting was going to get her in trouble one of these days, but that wouldn't stop her.

Vennidal stood with the group, growing rather impatient. When was this thing going to start? She was pretty sure they were late now, but she was smart enough to know that pointing that out wasn't good for her survival rates. She waited, pulling out another cigar
