Zuki was sitting by herself, eating pickily and watching the others. Marie ocassionally snatched a peice of bacon off her plate.

Gerald just lay there, drawing in deep, shaky breaths. Drake kept him close, gently petting Gerald’s blonde hair to comfort the scientist.
Gerald curled up partway into Drake’s lap, eyes shut tight.
“I know, it hurts. Just let it take affect and it will all be okay.” Drake murmured, his deep, baritone voice being rather soothing.
