Noko narrowed his eyes at the question, blowing it off. "What are you? Are you one or two? Dark or light?" Noko circled the Pokémon, as a lion would its prey.
His burn stung him mercilessly and the lake sounded like heaven, but yet he continued wondering about the Pokémon. "How are you thinking? Is there two voices? One voice that projects negatives through one and positives through the other? I wonder..."
Fire licked at his ankles and he gasped. "We need to get out of here!" He bounded away, hooves leaving dimples in the ashes of the fallen trees.

Noko shouted as he heard the honedge's cry, "Help me!" He struggled underneath a smoldering branch which had fallen on him earlier. He pushed forward with his hooves, only for the dry dirt to crumble at his touch. He wailed with sadness and anger. Was it really to end like this? Alone? Afraid? Who was waiting for him when he died?
All this spun in Noko's head as his eyes smarted from the smoke. His lungs were losing oxygen and inhaling more smoke. Blackness crowded his vision and hr fought to stay conscious.
