	Show hidden content The hidden floor (if you talked to the scientist already) has the exact same layout as the main floor of the lab. Just keep trying the arrows starting on the left side until you see a punk boy next to an unblocked doorway. Go in the doorway and inspect a bit, and then as you leave there should be a cutscene. @Pokemonlover: Adding you to the list. Also, I think I know why you can't get your friend code. Nintendo is shutting down servers/internet communications for past generations (anything older than 3DS and Wii U). It's kinda sad, but that's just the way it is, I guess. D:

It seems we have three types of people here:

Type A: The nostalgic ones that are buying the game because they loved the original and want to see it in 3D.

Type B: The ones that aren't buying the game because they've already played/owned the original, and the new version is just a remake, after all. EDIT: And they're not paying $50 for something they already own.

Type C: The ones that are buying the game because they never played the original.
^And for anyone who hasn't played the original I'd recommend getting it, from personal experience. I bought a copy of SoulSilver when it came out, and I knew a previous copy existed but I'd never played it, so it was a brand-new experience for me and I freaking loved it.

I'm so sorry for being inactive again. I wish summer would come sooner, testing has started. No one is safe.

Yes the cosplay contest is still going. In fact, I'm changing the end date to June 14. ~~Because summer. And then I'll actually have time to judge the entrees. : P~~

I've actually ~~prepare the shocked gasps~~ never played Ruby or Sapphire on my own. When I was a kid (like, 5-6 years old), I would go over to my neighbor's house and I the first thing I did was play Pokemon Ruby on his Game Boy. (And I always picked Mudkip. Always.) The farthest I ever got was halfway through the first gym battle. ._.

I ~~might~~ probably will pick it up, part nostalgia, part to play it through to the end for the first time. Of course I'd be going Omega Ruby with Mudkip. I don't care about the fact that Kyogre has a type advantage over Groudon, and I think Groudon looks a little cooler. (When I was a kid, I always thought Kyogre was super-ugly, despite how much I loved whales, which is kind of weird in retrospect.)

I do in fact own Emerald, but my DS Lite quite literally broke. The top half is only connected to the bottom by a copper wire now, and all the top screen displays is bright pink and green lines. Even using it as a GBA is annoying because of the top screen flopping around when I try to play it. I think I've only gotten to the 3rd or 4th gym badge in Emerald because of this.

The only think I hope for is more 3D graphics. They were nice in X/Y, but they really only came up in caves and cutscenes. Plus, character clothes! I look like a train wreck in RL half the time since I barely care about what I wear, but being able to customize my character in X/Y was amazing, and I'm pretty sure the outfitting will appear in the new OR/AS, and I'm hoping with new designs.

Sure, it would be nice to see a sequel-type game like B2/W2, but I was just as happy when HG/SS came out. ~~(But then again, I hadn't played the original games then, either.)~~ The point is, most of the younger generation hasn't even touched "old" games like Ruby and Sapphire, and even though this is just a "dumb remake," kids can play through the past gamer's generations with the newer graphics that they're used to playing in.
