Because the base max chances are 1.25% / 2.5% (normal / premium), and the max chance of 1.325% / 2.75 % are caused by the shiny charm. (1:40 is 2.5%, btw, not 2.75%). Perhaps a table with all combinations [normal/premium] x [no charm/charm] could be useful? Thanks! [Read more]

After analysing the "long-term effects" of the most recent mystery box balancing updates, I was able to go yet another step forward:
-> The amount of gems you receive from mystery boxes has been increased by about 30% on average. Note: Not the occurrence probability has been increased, but the amount you receive when you find gems in there. Exact numbers can't be given, however, since the amount depends on the type of mystery box and the rarity of the gem.

Additionally,

Peat Block (evolves Ursaring into Ursaluna) and

Black Augurite (evolves Scyther into Kleavor) can now be found in Mystery Boxes (any colour).

@Leofrancisconeo: I am very sorry for the inconvenience; I was 100% sure I had clicked the "Upload" button. Turns out I didn't (properly). Not it's fixed. Make sure to clear your cache if you still can't see the sprites.

@SH1NYM: Sprites can be expected to be live from the start of an event distribution; normally they are available right from the beginning. Leofrancisconeo did a good job reporting the missing sprites as the "bugs" forum is the first place I go to in the morning after lauching a new event/feature. Otherwise I might have not noticed for a while.

"A handcrafted flute, said to be made over a hundred years ago.
Combining it with relics of the past unleashes great power."

The currently on-going Pika-Pika event has been slightly rebalanced:
The Ukulele Pichu now only requires 80 Light Balls instead of 100 Light Balls initially, and the increment for every following egg has also been reduced to +40 Light Balls instead of +50 Light Balls.
In case you already claimed eggs before this update, then you received a "refund" of the Light Balls you "paid" too much.

Additionally, the shiny chance is now shown after you've claimed your 3rd Ukulele Pichu egg for extra motivation :) Good luck!

... Our players have enjoyed this game without the Hisuians for 9 years now. There is PLENTY of content. What makes you think you NEED them right now after just 14 hours of game time...?
You can collect literally over 1,500 other Pokemon in the meantime until you reach the point where you need the Hisuians for the ultimate dex completion.

Plus, you CAN get a Hisuian Zorua from this event (as the event advertises); the "secret" is just the icing on the cake.

Not to mention that there's the mew event which every newbie can easily get (just like our players did exactly 9 years ago when there was not a single pro player). Maybe not the shiny new, but yeah, that's indeed late-game content (recurring every year, so have patience and wait until you actually reach late-game).
I don't see how this anniversary has "nothing to offer for newbies"?

	Your 5th and the 10th mew plushies are shiny. The 5th plushie only gives you a 1% shiny chance for the mew egg, though; while the 10th gives you a 100% shiny chance (see the table in the first post). [Read more]

To reward this very special loyalty, you now receive a shiny anniversary gift for every 4 years you've been a member. For now, this option is only available for the anniversary cupcakes (cheese cake & strawberry cake):

Hisuian Event Distributions
Zorua and Growlithe

More Pokémon have arrived from the Hisui region: Zorua and Growlithe are now available in their hisuian variant in a new event distribution!

(Evolves into Hisuian Zoroark at Level 30)
July 1st to July 7th

(Evolves into Hisuian Arcanine using a Fire Stone)
July 8th to July 14th

Special shiny chance: The more eggs you receive in these event distributions, the higher their shiny chances become!

Mew Plushie Event

<img src="//staticpokeheroes.com/img/dw_plushies/0151.png" style="float: right">The legendary Pokémon Mew has returned as a Dream World Event Plushie! It is available until July 16th and can be obtained by fulfilling Dream Point spending goals.
With every Mew Plushie that you obtain, the DP requirement increases. To get the first Mew Plushie, you have to spend at least 500 Dream Points at the DW Shop.
The 5th Mew Plushie that you get is a Shiny Plushie.

Starting on July 17th, everyone who claimed at least one Mew Event Plushie (during this event period) can obtain a Mew Egg at the Ancient Cave! The more Mew Plushies you obtain, the higher your chance is to get a Shiny Mew Egg!
