The more that Seijo looked around, the more he realized...

A lot of people here had scars. How edgy.

He didn't have room to talk though, he was covered in them, and it's not like it mattered in the first place. All he did on the walk was trod along quietly, taking quick glances ahead of him to make sure he wasn't being left behind, as much as he wanted that outcome. He noticed a peculiar-looking person staring at him momentarily, shooting a harsh glare in response before looking back at the ground again. He hated stares, he hated people looking at him. It felt like daggers to his skin, itching to bury their way deeper and draw blood. Sure, it was just a little insecurity talking, but it was unpleasant nonetheless.

A sigh was let out as soon as the supposedly "arrived" at their destination, and Seijo just looked unimpressed. He didn't necessarily doubt their chaperone, but rather... he was just unamused. The fire-breather had no interest in anything magic in the first place, in fact, he tended to stray away from it, so this whole "magical barrier" thing simply annoyed him. Just like the man in front, Seijo wasn't all that fond of being here either. He had to appreciate his sarcasm though, now that was entertaining.

He simply stayed in the back the entire time, biding his time before it was his turn to just ✨magically disappear✨ into the woods. Seijo's arms were now out of his pockets and crossed across his chest, his head slightly tilted as he watched everyone else go before him.

...Huh.

So this was "Hope's Peak"? Sounds dumb... Looked even dumber. Who the hell would even need a school this extravagant anyways? It was a goddamn school, nobody needed this... What, did 1 too many snobby rich kids complain that their high school wasn't "exquisite" and "fancy" enough? Ugh... The longer she looked at the large building, the more she wanted to gag, run away, whatever to show her disgust for whatever this was. Then again, the more she looked at it, the more hilarious jokes came to mind. What an odd feeling... Joking about something that made you sick to the stomach... Whatever, she was here now, she'd be stupid to turn back. Sure, she was already set financially due to her success, but something about education and "her plans for the future" or whatever made her feel obligated to go. Besides, not like Mei could turn down something she was practically forced into. She'd been invited here after one of her biggest matches yet was recognized, and the letter she received wasn't exactly... friendly. Ugh.

Mei stood before the gates of Hell, the only thing she saw this place as, and pulled out her ID card. She had fiddled with it on her walk here, accidentally cutting herself on the clasps she had loosened. How she managed to do that, Mei did not know, but she was fine with it nonetheless. She stared at the finger cradling a bead of crimson, staring back at the purple-haired student like it was taunting her. She lifted her finger to her lips, gently licking the blood off of it. Yum.

Anyone unfortunate to watch would've probably been a little grossed out, but Mei didn't care. She just cared about having a little fun. Not like this school would do anything to help with that, so she already made the decision to brute force the fun. She could do that, right?

With her hopes low, and her motivation even lower, she took the first reluctant step forwards to the school that awaited her.

Mei Akamatsu : ID#420 | Ultimate Gambler

Yup, that's what it read on her card. The same card she had to show to gain access to the building. How annoying, the lanyard was kinda itchy...

What was even more annoying was the fact that she got a blow straight to the back of her head, one that she knew was coming, but too slow to react to. Ugh... Why'd they have to be so sneaky about it? If they wanted her unconscious, they could've just told her, she would just find a shady spot to lie down in and fall asleep. She woke up way too early for this, she much preferred sleeping over getting a giant knot on her head. Oh well.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Well this was... Grander than he originally thought. The building was large, obviously well-kept, and the architecture was pretty damn cool. Akari had always been a sucker for those kinds of things, even if he didn't show any interest in anything. There was hardly any people here either, perfect. Yeah, sure, it was a little suspicious that the courtyard wasn't bustling with students, but he was fine with it. Besides, Akari had heard that this place was reserved only for Ultimates, those who perfected their craft and reached the top, and he bet it was pretty damn hard to get a hold of a large group of them.

Akari didn't see himself deserving to be one of the people here, he was filthy and poor, working in his dad's old shed to barely scrape by. His clothes were constantly covered in filth and grease, the fingerless gloves he dearly cherished ripped at the tips. Sure, he definitely took pride in his work, but it wasn't nearly as good as what everyone else here had accomplished. All the students going here had actually done something worthwhile, they contributed to society. Hell, one of them was a time traveler for heaven's sake! He hadn't done anything, not anything worth noticing at least. He was a nobody, his name only known to his clients. How he got here, he was unsure, but might as well make the most of it...

Akari Xenauta : ID#924 | Ultimate Engineer

He felt slightly proud of himself for doing the minimal amount of research for his fellow classmates, even if his face said "kill me now". He at least knew a bit more about everyone, everyone he should stay away from. That list contained... Pretty much everyone, honestly, but that got him through life better than most other tactics. He was fine being alone most of the year, he had nothing to say anyways. He'd bet no one would talk to him in the first place anyways, they had better things to do.

Akari took his first steps into the school, only to be met with something coming right at his face. Of course, it hit him, knocking the poor guy out instantly. This was gonna be fun, wasn't it...

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Standing in front of Hope's Peak was... Jarring to say the least. It was extravagant, large, and all sorts of grand things that could describe a, well... School.

That's all it was, really. An overexaggerated school, looking all grand and fancy to probably compensate for something. Reimi looked up at it with a small groan, obviously not too enthusiastic about it. He just wanted to get this done and over with, go to school then get the f**k home and never deal with this s**t again. Besides, he just woke up from the grave and wasn't in a good mood.

...To be honest, Reimi was never in a good mood, but whatever. He sighed as he took out his badge, staring at it for a bit before shrugging and using it to let him into the damn school.

Reimi Xenauta : ID#066 | Ultimate Escape Artist

The ID looked a little... Off, but he wasn't going to pay attention to it longer than he needed to. A school for the Ultimates, huh... Seemed like s**t and probably was s**t, his excitement levels were all the way in hell right now, just like his face.

...Wait, huh? A slight gust of wind grazed the skin on his ears, but next he found himself face-planted on the ground like an absolute idiot.

How embarrassing.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

...So this was it, huh? Hope's Peak, a prestigious high school for the elite, the best of the best. The exterior was fascinating, she had to admit. It was a big ass school that probably had all sorts of outrageously complex secrets, nooks and crannies, rooms that probably didn't have a purpose, stuff of that matter. It was a little intimidating, for sure, and the faint feeling of dread Daiko felt as she stood at the gates was almost enough to make her throw in the towel and call it a day.

But, well, she was kinda forced into this, whether she liked it or not, so might as well make the most of it. Right? Besides, it couldn't be that bad, it was a school of the elite, so it had to be worth it. People who graduated were pretty much set for life after all, that's what this school promised and that's what Daiko hoped to get.

Oh screw the optimism, this was going to suck. Her omniscience senses were tingling and the feeling of dread only got heavier as she stared at the school before her. Besides, a school for the best? That was just a cesspool of jerks just waiting to happen. She didn't doubt that some of the students would be total stuck-up snobs, or overly enthusiastic or something. And, god, the people, just the thought of there being people was enough to make her grimace.

The more and more Daiko thought about it, the more and more she regretted ever coming. The archer was already thinking about the worst and she hadn't even stepped foot past the gates of Hell. Then again... Thinking of the worst was what got her this far in the first place, wasn't it? If you thought about the worst, you'd have lower expectations, and you'd know what to avoid, right? It was a motivation of sorts, a way of telling herself that "this is the worst you can do, do better and you'll never see that outcome", and it worked.

Crazy how pessimism worked, wasn't it?

Speaking of pessimism... Certainly, she could be excluded from this, just this once? I mean, Daiko's self-esteem was lower than Akari's, and that's saying something. She was just a nobody with a stick and a string, nothing more nothing less. She wasn't an interesting person in the slightest, she had no personality, no good qualities, her social skills were worse than her ability to use her head for once, and so, so many more detrimental things she could say about herself were just piling up in her head. She groaned and pulled out her ID card, something that she scowled at every time she looked at it, and walked forward.

Daiko Ukatara : ID#215 | Ultimate Archer

Pfft, "Ultimate Archer" my ass... Daiko scoffed upon looking at it again, bitterness and disgust filling her face as she swiped it. She was just good with a bow and arrow, that's all, wasn't like she was the "best" at it... Daiko didn't see themselves as a man of many talents, or any good qualities, really. Calling them the "Ultimate Archer" just left a bad taste in their mouth, and she preferred if she didn't run into anyone who actually cared about talents.

Honestly, she hoped she wouldn't have to talk to anyone during her time here. She just wanted to graduate and get out, not even dare try to dabble in with friendships and such. Not like anyone would want to be friends with her anyways, but whatever.

And with that, and a deep breath later, Daiko Ukatara took another step forward aaannndd...

BONK

She was hit by Tinkaton's ungodly hammer, something she could only dream of. Well, lucky for her, it was a reality now. This was going great so far.

Seijo sighed upon hearing that they were finally getting ready to go. He wasn't going to question whatever they were doing, he found it best to just go along, no questions asked, anyways.

"So. Clap clap clap, you can all do magic, good for you, good for you."

The green-haired boy let out a small chuckle, smiling a little as he lifted himself off of the tree and followed behind the group, trying to distance himself as much as possible. He found the sarcasm funny, quite welcoming even, as that was just the type of attitude Seijo was fond of.

"But the one rule of this nature hike...no magic. Especially no fires."

Wasn't plannin' on it, chief...
Seijo had already figured that "no magic" was the case, especially considering how dangerous it was to do so in a random forest. Besides, Seijo wasn't proud of his magic anyways, it was dull, boring, not very unique, and just straight-up silly, a heavy drawback to boot.

Her eyes turned back to Idris, and her smile vanished and became a frown, accompanied by a disappointed look. Her tone was still somewhat playful though.

"...Sorry? That it? That's all you gotta say for yourself?"

She leaned down and turned her head upwards, trying to get within his line of sight, which was, of course, pointed straight at the ground.

"You can do better than that, can'tcha?"

Her tone didn't seem forced anymore, it wasn't loud or whiney, not even overbearing like it usually did. It was just her normal, average talking, a rarity some could say.

"I don't want an apology, Idris."

Mei said nothing else after that, making no comment about what she just said and instead straightened up and whirled around, slapping on that smile and bouncing her way out the door.

...Her hand... Her hand was in an unusual location, and...

Did she grab something?

Must be Daiko's eyes deceiving them, carry on folks.

"Woooo, to the rest of the ship we goooooo!" She cried, skipping along and occasionally stopping to make sure Idris was following. "Come on you slowpoke, we don't got all day!" She giggled as she continued, taking a left turn and finding herself...

In the cockpit room.

A large, see-through dome was suddenly on top of her, and the vast emptiness of space was now surrounding her small little frame.

She froze, her joyous and carefree attitude instantly vanished and instead became filled with shock.

Mei stood in place, wide-eyed, the only thing she could see was space's cold, dark grasp surrounding her.

Not again, oh god not again.

This time, not only was the thought of being in space in her mind, but now the reality had set in, and it hit her like a freight train.

She should've never left that room, at least all those pretty weapons comforted her...

Akari has left the two by this point, going to the right and finding himself in a seemingly useless room. He had calmed down by this point, returning to his shell like he always did, but at least he was alone now.

"Akariiiiii~ Yooohooooo~" She waved her hand in front of his face, impatient after she didn't get a response other than a weird look. "You comin' or-" Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Idris turn and walk away. She frowned an pouted, spinning around to face Idris and marched her way over. "Heyyyyy, rude! You could've at least said something before walkin' off and leavin' me hanging!" She whined, stepping in front of the expresso depresso edgy guy. She placed her hands on her hips and gave a childish frown, seemingly not letting him leave.

Oh would you look at that, hypocritical much? Just let him go, Mei, stop clinging to him like he's the only thing keeping you alive.

Don't wanna get attached, do you?

Ok but it was fun messing with people, annoying them and acting like a child. She was still sticking to her word, she wasn't going to get attached. Idris was probably doing the same, but... Going to this extreme? She told him not to get attached, not "don't let anyone talk to you"...

Ah who was she kidding, she saw it. That's why she kept bugging him after all.

Maybe she was trying to be oblivious to the lies she told herself too.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Akari blinked and tried to move his head away from Mei's hand, but she bounced off before he could do anything. "Mei, I don't-..." He started, trying to reject her forced offer. That's when Idris started to make his leave, which gave Akari a slight moment of relief. Maybe he could make his leave now, since Mei was distracted. He turned to walk away, stuffing his hands back in his pockets and lowering his head.

"Heyyyyy, I didn't forget about you, you ain't leavin' just yet! Geez, you're even as cowardly as a rat..." Mei shot back, peaking around Idris to glare right at him. Akari could feel her piercing stare right n his back, freezing him in place instantly. Why the hell was he so scared of her? Good grief...

He sighed angrily, mostly at himself for reacting that way but also because his escape was caught. He took his hand out of his pocket and pinched the bridge of his nose, closing his eyes as he grumbled under his breath. He turned his head towards her first, shooting an uninterested, exhausted, and angry glare her way, then walked over.

"What do you even want from us in the first place..." He muttered, staying a ways away from Idris and Mei but standing close enough for them to hear.

And stop calling me a rat, at least be original or something...

Crumpled up wad of gum in the sidewalk trashcan would probably be a better insult, if that's what you're going for...

Of course he wasn't going to say that out loud, but instead he gave a sigh. "Can we just...go? I don't... I don't really care about this anyways..."

"And I certainly don't want to stick around with you..."

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Mei glared at Akari once again, pouting as he came closer. "What do I want? Hmm, I dunno, maybe just to not be bored and lonely like you idiots!" She spat, exaggerating her movements as she spoke. "I just wanna have some fun, is that too much to ask?"

"Can we just...go? I don't... I don't really care about this anyways..."

"Pffftt, what?! Geez, what's the rush anyway, huuuuhhhhhh? Not like you got anything better to do!"

"Why are you guys so depressing anyways? You make the room 10x darker just by being here! Lighten up a bit, wouldja?"

Mei sighed and tilted her head, as if she was thinking for a bit, lowering her whiney tone to become more of a sad, hurt one.

"Guess you guys do just wanna make me sad, add me to your little 'loner' club and make me as depressing to be around as everyone else..."

"So cruel, so evil! How could you guys be so mean to little ol' me..." She pouted yet again, trying to do puppy-dog eyes and failing miserably.

An audible groan could be heard from his Akari as his face turned harsh. "Drop it, Mei, I don't know about Idris but I'm not going to listen to your bulls**t, we've all had enough of your antics..." He shot, then grumbled again and walked past her, heading to the rest of the ship. This time, Mei was too busy giggling her head off to stop him.

Besides, she finally got him to snap a little, and that was good enough for her. Might as well give the guy a break, right? She turned a little to face him, still not letting Idris walk by, then waved her hand around and grinned. "Bye Akariiiiiiiii! Cya laterrrrrr!" She called to him, to which he didn't even give a response.

For a man like Seijo, waking up at this hour wasn't all that difficult, given the fact that he was usually forced to wake up at the crack of dawn. He said goodbye to his quiet, peaceful home as he packed his bags and jumped in the car, deciding not to take public transport due to his... Distaste for crowded areas. People were loud and unpredictable, something Seijo did not want to deal with on this new day, and his journey to this new place.

. . .

At last, he arrived, his unwelcoming and cold expression glaring down at the ground beneath him was already enough to deter some of the students outside of the school. Seijo wasn't the most sociable person to say the least, the harsh and sharp demeanor he possessed was both a blessing and a curse as it scared enough people away to make him pretty much a recluse. Talking was overrated anyways, he found conversations to be boring and uninteresting, and thank god no one wanted to talk anyways.

Well, enough spewing random words that don't even make sense, onto the important bits.

Seijo stuffed his gloved hands into the pockets of his torn-up pants, still looking down as he made his way to where an older man stood, presumably in his 30s. He could instantly tell from the atmosphere around the area that he did not want to be here (and neither did Seiji to be honest, the noise was already making him regret it). His green hair curtained over his face, making it hard to tell what he thought about the situation because of how obscured his lowered head was. He simply made his way over to a lone tree and leaned against it, observing the small group from afar. Oh boy...

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

While Mei was dancing around the room, investigating each individual weapon, she happened to notice two familiar people out of the corner of her eye. Huh... They followed her? Well, their only other option was a dark, creepy, and musty hallway that did not look pleasant to be in. Oh well.

She caught onto their hesitancy to enter the room pretty quickly, almost immediately coming to the conclusion that the two were not a fan of these sick-ass weapons. Awww, but they looked so awesome! Oooh, and fun to play with too! At this point, she was carelessly spinning around one of the handguns by the trigger guard as she looked at the walls for more, taking one last glance before putting it back and waltzing her way over to Idris and Akari.

"Isn't this place AWESOME?!" She gleamed, looking between the two excitedly. She knew their answer already, but she was a fan of the chaotic energy the sentence brought. "Come on! you guys should come look around with me, I bet we'll find so much more cool stuff!" She was pretty much bouncing on her toes at this point, already eager to lead the two through the weapons room and to the rest of the ship.

"Hey Akari, I bet we can find some cool stuff for you to mess around with! Betcha'd loooooveee that, wouldn'tcha?"

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Oh hey, Idris was here too. And he...

He didn't look all that happy to see this room either. Eh, he wasn't gonna prod about it, that was Mei's job anyways.

Speaking of Mei... As soon as he was about ready to leave, he heard her annoying voice screech in his ear again, which he slightly winced at. "Could you not..." He muttered, turning around to face her.

"Hey Akari, I bet we can find some cool stuff for you to mess around with! Betcha'd loooooveee that, wouldn'tcha?"

As much as he like the idea, Mei was the one proposing it, which didn't sit well with him. Why the hell was she so interested in what he wanted to do? Was it a bribery of some sort?

Oh whatever, not like he'd have a say in it anyways. He shot her a glare and a scowl, trying to back away from her but finding himself in a position where there wasn't exactly room to back up. Oh great... Cornered again...

Hopefully Idris would make up a good enough excuse to get out of here, which would most likely give him a good excuse to leave as well. Then again... Mei might be more clingy to one of them if they both wanted to leave, so...

He sighed upon thinking about his options. Should he take one for the team or...

Yeah he probably should, Idris obviously didn't want to be around her, and honestly... The offer she gave didn't sound too bad, even if he was forced to be around that lunatic.

Then again... He'd be the perfect target for a murder. Mei has shown that he can somehow overpower someone as massive and decently-built person like him, and she'd have the guts to do it as well.

...Better him than anyone else, right? And besides, Idris would be the last to see the two together, so Mei could easily be found out. Problem is, people liked to lie, and Akari didn't know Idris well enough to know if he was a liar.

Decisions decisions... Well, if it came down to it, he could probably (and reluctantly) be dragged around by Mei for a bit.

He just had to hope it didn't come down to it.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Hey... I saw that you sneaky bastard...

Mei stuck her tongue out at Kubo and rocked her head back and forth to mock him, seemingly oblivious to the mood she was just in. Her steps noticeably got springier and her face had lightened up as she kept walking, completely ignoring whatever was going on.

And then she saw Saeko again, cracking their knuckles and rushing in all on their own.

She returned the mockery, not like they saw it though.

. . .

She entered the ship and looked around, the first room she saw when she entered seemed to be some sort of security room, there was a big ass monitor right in front of them too... She ignored that for now, keeping it in the back of her mind before making a left, finding herself in the kitchen. Ew... It was bright, and kitchen-y... She hated kitchens, too much weird stuff happened there and she hated cooking. Next was... Oooohhhh! The weapons room! Her favorite!

Mei's eyes widened as soon as she saw the large assortment of guns, her mouth curved into a large open smile. Oooooh this was gonna be fun~

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Akari entered the ship and accidentally took the same path Mei did, unsure if Idris was still following or not. He took a moment to look at the monitor, but he wasn't sure if touching it would be the best idea for now, so he headed to the kitchen. The kitchen was bright, sure, but it was big and had everything necessary. Too bad he couldn't cook, I guess.

Then the weapons room.

He froze in place upon seeing it, specifically the guns, his heart stopping for a second before he turned around and went the other way. Besides... That girl was in there, and he did not want to be around her.

His hands felt heavy, his face felt like it was suddenly caked in a thick red liquid. His fingers felt like they were shaking, but...

Just phantom pains, I guess...

Now he'd have the images of those guns in his head for the rest of his time here, constantly thinking about it. He despised guns, wishing they didn't feel so familiar, so natural in his hands. He wished he could tone out the constant noise he heard that resembled gunfire, and he wished he could wipe off the nonexistent layer of red coating his face.

But he couldn't, that was all in the past.

And Akari wouldn't dare to touch anything in that room.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Mei's smile faded at Idris's cold dismissal, her eyes seemed to have pain seeping into them. She simply stood in place and watched him walk away, her expression still blank but with a hint of sorrow.

...Great, now the only person she was willing to talk to was giving her the cold shoulder. Just when she was actually enjoying having someone around to talk to that she most likely wasn't manipulating the hell out of, they did a 180 on her and completely ignored her.

Now that hurt.

She bit the inside of her lower lip slightly and sighed, turning away and tried to act like nothing happened.

Not before saying a quick remark, that is.

"Damn, already on your way to becoming Monokuma's next victim, huh? Geez, "ghosting" me and everythin', aren'tcha? You even look the part..." Mei had her back facing Idris, but she made sure to say it loud enough for him to hear. Mei almost regretted saying that, given the circumstances, but whatever. She didn't care that much, right? Gotta give a little karma sometimes... right?

She simply gave a shrug before she continued walking, right through the door of their new amogus lobby.

But not without yelling at Monokuma first

"WATCH IT!" She yelled at Monokuma, angrily swiping his hand away. "Like I'd believe any of that..." She grumbled.

"Ran out of fuel, huh... Great way to take care of your "children", isn't it..." Mei growled.

She did feel piercing eyes on her back though, which in turn made her eyes look to the side, only subtly though as she kept walking.

Of course it was Kubo, what the hell did he want...

Mei shot back a glare and crossed her arms, but did nothing else but walk, not answering his question

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Akari had hardly been paying attention, but he snapped back into reality quickly after he noticed Idris walking back over to him. He had heard the interaction, even if it was only subconsciously, so he had a slight puzzled look on his face. He had no clue what was going on between the two, especially after Mei's remark. Of course, Akari being Akari, he said nothing to Idris and instead remained silent. He didn't look like he was in the mood to talk anyways.

He scoffed at the bear's rambling and instead got up to follow, looking back at Idris before continuing. "You comin'?"

Mei groaned and threw herself off the chair, rolling her eyes and looking at Saeko. "Oh shut it Saeko... You're so goddamn annoying..." She grumbled, looking away and back to Idris. He didn't seem to be doing alright... Was it because of the flight? Was it because of the conditions Monokuma set? Or was it...

Slowly walking over, her face somewhat neutral but overall cold and downcast. She wasn't even sure if she should be doing this, but it wasn't like she had anything better to do.

"Hey... You alright?" She was walking side by side at this point, her head turned to face his. "Heh, rough ride, ammiright?" Normally, a joke like that would've had more enthusiasm behind it, but Mei couldn't bring herself to it. Her stomach ached and her head was cloudy with boring and depressing thoughts that she wished she didn't have the displeasure of having, and the look she saw on Idris's face...

Why did he insist on it so badly? Ever since...

What the hell happened to him?

"So... Monokuma wants us to kill, huh?"

...

"Wonder how that will go." She smiled, almost trying to force a giggle, but she couldn't bring herself to do it. Even then, her tone implied that she already had a plan. Who knows if she was joking or not.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Mei had her eyes closed the entire time, begging herself not to think about it. She didn't usually get motion sick or anything, in fact she enjoyed going fast, but space... Going into space for any reason made her sick. Dull and void, pitch black and filled with absolute nothingness... It gave her a terrible feeling, and she hated feeling terrible. Expressing, or even feeling, genuine emotion just wasn't her thing, y'know? It was fun to play her little masquerade, make a character out of herself even if it meant absolutely nothing and had no real meaning. Even if it was completely random and stupid, she still enjoyed it.

She didn't enjoy the immense pressure she felt in her gut though, the flight making her almost throw up out of pure agony. Key word: almost. She managed to suppress it until they arrived though, and as soon as they did, she groaned and scratched the top of her suit on her leg, even if she couldn't feel it.

Even if she couldn't feel it.

Mei quickly shook away the thought and listened to Monokuma's dumb ramblings and rolled her eyes, sighing and crossing her arms. Sounds familiar, eh? Copyrighting bastard...

...The mention of the time limit was quite interesting though, which perked her up slightly. So... They had to kill someone if they all wanted to live... Otherwise, their oxygen would run out and they'd be screwed.

Otherwise, her oxygen would run out and she'd be screwed.

Oh god.

A sudden feeling of dread came upon her as soon as Monokuma mentioned it, but she made sure to show it as little as possible.

Her oxygen would run out... Just like...

Just like the time she woke up to those nightmares clawing at her throat, grasping and grabbing at the skin that covered her thin little neck, strangling and dragging every last bit of breath she had left.

She couldn't scream, she couldn't move, she couldn't breathe.

She couldn't breathe.

Then the nightmares suddenly went away, as if they wanted to see her on her last breath to torture her, only to not give her the pleasure of being free from it. How cruel could those nightmares be, making her wish for death nearly every day, but never grant her wish.

Those damn nightmares, giving her hell from the moment she was born.

...But funnily enough, Mei wasn't worried about the oxygen situation. She had already jumped to the last possible solution anyone in here would've had. She was wondering who she would kill if it came down to it. She was definitely more willing to do it than everyone else, or so she thought, and who knows, maybe she could even get away with it.

But if she didn't...

That was fine too, she didn't really care in all honesty. Or... Did she?

Mei took one glance at Idris, even for one second, and immediately had second thoughts. She had already looked away at that point, but her supposed interest vanished as she thought about it. She pursed her lips and sighed, scratching the idea of doing the deed herself and "saving us all", as dumb as that sounded. She hated sounding heroic or something along those lines, but she was involved in the group of people that were going to die, so she felt obligated to.

Well, not anymore.

Sure, she'd still keep the idea in the back of her mind, but if it ever came down to it...

Mei didn't know what she'd do.

She didn't even know why she cared so much.

Mei, of course, was too caught up in her own thoughts to even pay attention to the endless chatter Sawyer and Darcy were producing, or anyone else's chatter, really.

Akari, again, was almost unfazed by the whole thing, but looking at everyone else...

Yeah, they didn't look too good.

. . .

So it's just another one of Monokuma's sick games, huh? They apparently had a time limit now, and it wasn't a long one... 2 days for a murder to happen? That's just...

Akari sighed and leaned forward, placing his elbows on his legs and closed his eyes as he faced the ground. Ah great... Another murder would be forced, and this time...

It wasn't going to be fun, that's for sure.

He grit his teeth at the thought of it, but said nothing. He had no regard for his own life anyways, he firmly believed he should've died long ago, but this involved other people... It was bound to happen, right? Of course, Akari would never be the one to do it no matter what happened, but he didn't doubt that some people actually wanted to live.

They wanted to live, huh... And they were so desperate to do so that they were willing to kill someone else to do it.

...He was like that in a way, a long time ago that is. The weight of realization as heavy as the sky itself crash upon him one day and it broke him. Even after so long, he had yet to recover. He still held up the guilt-filled sky, the burden of having his past linger around him, and it crushed him with every breath he took.

Not even what he did to himself was enough to lift even a fraction of that weight, no matter how hard he tried to convince himself.

He couldn't escape that lingering feeling after all. Just like how Atlas was doomed to bear the weight of the sky every minute of every day, year after year, century after century.

"Don't worry about it, 'Ri, you'll get used to it! I promise it's not as bad as it looks, just don't think about it, 'k?"

Sorry Rei, but... How could I not? How could you do that? How could you drag me into that hell with you?

He shuddered at the memory, but still held his composure and got out of his seat, following behind Darcy, Sawyer, and Lucian, saying nothing.

Mei almost jumped at Monokuma's announcement, taking a deep breath and pretty much stomping towards her seat. She sat down reluctantly and let her head fall to whatever object was behind her as she closed her eyes, her expression obviously saying that she didn't enjoy this in the slightest. Her hands shook slightly as she put on her seatbelt, and her breathing seemed forced, not at all natural.

Almost like she was trying to force herself into a normal breathing pattern, like she was trying to hide her fear.

Speaking of...

"Yippee... Can't wait... Thanks for the field trip Ms Frizzle..." Mei grumbled loudly, leaning her head forward and gazed at Monokuma angrily in the meantime.

Akari turned his head slightly so that he could see Idris's face out of the corner of his eye, but never dared to look directly at him. He did notice the grin though, which slightly puzzled him.

Were they... Were they on bad terms or not?

It was too much work trying to understand any of these people... Maybe he should just not even try, y'know? Not like it was worth it anyways, they were in a killing game after all.

Akari's deadpan expression didn't change though, and he instead looked back towards the floor.

"Yeah... Sure is insufferable all right... he mumbled under his breath before sighing, slightly hoping Idris didn't hear.

Saying it to her face sounded pretty great right now... Too bad I got humiliated the last time I said a damn thing to her...

His face turned slightly sour, but he snapped out of whatever thought he had whenever that bear spoke again. So... they weren't in space yet, but they were definitely about to be. Oh fun...

"Y-Yeah... How the hell did someone even get the budget for this anyways..." He muttered again, sitting in a chair and strapping himself in. Akari would've definitely rambled on about how absurd this was, going into detail about the equipment and other dumb things like that if he was actually an active talker. And also if Monokuma didn't start speaking, that too.

Surprisingly, for how skittish and jumpy Akari was with loud noises and sudden movements, he seemed perfectly fine with the launch. Maybe it's because he had a background with something similar to this, even if it was just testing, or it could be that he trusted machines for than he did people. It could even be both, who knows.

He looked up at Monokuma instead of the floor for once and glared at him, not saying anything. Jesus christ that thing was loud, and annoying...

Daiko

- Character Name -
Seijo Autima

- Age -
17
B-day - November 30th

- Gender -
Male

- Power -
Flare
Abnormality - He uh... Doesn't exactly have fingers? Instead, he can breathe puffs of flames and the feeling of nonexistent smoke fills his lungs every time he uses it.
(hopefully this is ok, if not i can change it)

- Pronouns & Sexuality -
He/Him/They/Them & Demisexual

- Appearance -
Seijo is a 6'2 man that weighs around 155 pounds and is always seen with a black beanie at the top of his green, messy hair that is quite long. He had a braid in his bangs and keeps his hair up and tied close to his neck (as seen in some of the images below) and has semi-heavily pierced ears. Although he has prosthetic arms a trait that I'm using a lot recently for some reason, he wears black fingerless gloves and "fake fingers" that are convincing enough to pass as real ones. He also has a golden left eye, which is, of course, a prosthetic, and a chocolate-brown right eye, which he can pass off as "heterochromia". Said eye has a massive onslaught of scars around it, which is quite noticeable. He wears a simple black shirt with an open red flannel shirt over it, with ripped-up dark blue semi-skinny jeans and dark brown combat boots. He also has a neck tattoo that I, of course, haven't thought up a design for yet.

- Personality -
Seijo is very stoic and calm, not one to show emotion or get into many conflicts. He isn't the most talkative person and will only speak once spoken to, but most of the time he will only give a simple response as he hates useless or boring conversations. Seijo likes to fidget with whatever he gets his hands on and will divert all of his attention to the object to keep him occupied. He is incredibly smart and is easily able to read others pretty well, even though he claims that he doesn't understand humans. His sight and hearing are quite sharp and he notices the smallest details, and sometimes eavesdrops on conversations within earshot. Some people have trouble being around him due to the strange vibes he gives off, as well as the continuous deadpan stare, but he doesn't mind in the slightest. In fact, Seijo seems to not even notice the uneasy feeling he gives off or the fact that he's always lonely. This is, of course, subject to change and probably will be added onto as the RP goes along. Wouldn't be a daiko character if I was really inconsistent and made stuff up lol

- History -
Is it alright if I make it up tell it as the rp goes along? I'm not very good with writing backstories in forms lol

- PalPad -
sure

- Other -
Hopefully everything is ok, I'll be happy to change anything if it doesn't fit!
He's a certified daiko classic so he's gonna be kinda edgy if that's alright lol
totally didn't copy/paste this from somewhere else, no siree

"Speak for yourself, jesus..." Mei grumbled upon hearing Sawyer's enthusiasm. It'll be "great", huh... She was leaning against a wall at this point, arms crossed and her head held low, her face grim and uninviting.

I meant every word I said, Darcy. Don't you dare try and twist my words around to fit your stupid optimism...

She wasn't in the mood to say it out loud, but the look that thought brought to her glare at him practically said it all. She wasn't going to say an apology either, she didn't even feel the need to. Little miss grumpy pants was really in the mood, not even to be herself. Actually... Maybe she was.

"Heh, bet it'll suuuuureeee be great when something goes awry and we'll all be f**ked more than we already are, wouldn't it?" She gave a harsh chuckle as she kept her head down, not doing anything else more than that.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

My god... Of course Mei had to say something to throw the whole atmosphere around (pun intended)... The more Akari was forced to be anywhere within earshot of her, the more he hated the fact that he was stuck here. He grumbled at the bickering but barely loud enough for anyone to hear and sat back for most of the time, looking around at everyone subtly while making sure he never made eye contact. He just hoped this would end soon, he hated being here with everyone else and he was anxious, mostly bored though. He itched for something to keep him occupied while he waited for whatever that bear had planned, if he was even still here, but Akari had nothing. Nothing in his pockets, nothing around him, just him and his clothes. His mind raced from the boredom, still actively trying to block out whatever BS was going on.

As much as he hated the idea, maybe it would be worth talking to someone else. Even though most everyone here seemed like unpleasant people he knew he wouldn't get along with, that didn't mean everyone was all that bad. Darcy and Sawyer were pretty alright, Lucian didn't seem all that bad, and neither did Akora, Solaro seemed a bit too straightforward but at least they weren't Mei, Futatabi and Shi... Well he didn't really know much about them, but certainly they couldn't be all that bad, right? Ah who was he kidding, he probably wouldn't enjoy talking to many of them anyways. Akari had to admit, he was a bit too picky about people, judgmental even. He hated being around energetic people or those that were just overwhelming in general, but it was hard to find a quiet and relaxed person that wasn't too nice or anything...

Ah what was he even saying at this point, that last block of text just sounded like his rper spewed out random words yet again. Classic Daiko...

But then he thought about someone else he talked to in the past, someone who wasn't necessarily loud or over-the-top. That one conversation they had wasn't really all that bad, even if it was under... unusual circumstances. He was mentally regretting having the idea, but it couldn't hurt, right? He needed something to do anyways, and maybe said person could answer a question of his...

"Hey... I-Idris, was it? I uh..." Akari paused, trying to think about how he wanted to say this. "W-what's her deal?" God this was awkward, great conversational skills Akari.

He realized that he was a little blunt, maybe even rude, and instantly tried to correct himself. "I-I mean..." Akari paused yet again, catching on that this might not be the best conversation starter. "Gah, I... S-Sorry, probably shouldn't have said anything..." He didn't once look in his direction, but he had at least moved close enough so that Idris could hear his mumbles. He had seen the two hang around each other quite often, so he figured that Idris would know the reason the class's "beloved" annoying clown was acting so abnormally, but...

Well, he wasn't really sure, honestly. For some reason, Akari had a small hunch that there was something going on between the two, and maybe Idris didn't even want to talk about her. Did Mei make him mad or something? Eh, oh well, he wasn't going to look too deep into it.

wow, an akari post being longer than mei's? geez dude, you're getting too much screentime, i might just have to kill you off 👀

also, here's a stupid post that makes absolutely no sense and is cringe as hell :') (i suck at this)
