Akiko was out of breath, she’d woken up late and had completely missed a class! Her U.A uniform was askew and her red tie was missing. She plucked a topaz that formed from her cheek and threw it in a bin, trying to calm herself down. ‘It’s alright.. You’ve only missed one class, hopefully they won’t threaten expel you just yet.’ She thought, panicking that the teachers might expel her because she was late, it had happened once before after all. She didn’t want to miss her chance to become a hero! Akiko wandered onto the roof, not remembering where her class was because she was up all night attempting to train her Quirk.

Personality: kind, stubborn and friendly. Also very competitive.
Appearance: hopefully this works
Quirk: Crystal manipulation
Backstory: she grew up with a family who didn’t want her to become a hero, saying it was too dangerous and that they didn’t want to lose her. Akiko kept pushing the boundaries of what her family would allow and eventually she enrolled in a hero course, lying to her mum and dad explaining that she would become a rescue hero, not a fully fledged one.
Role(villain or hero?): hero
Palpad?: yes
Other: The crystals that she produces are gemstones that have special effects, although they are weak. She can only use one type of gemstone at a time. Cooldown for switching between gem types is around five minutes. Creating objects using her crystals requires immense focus, if this focus were to disappear when an object has been made it shatters. The crystals grow out of control (literally and figuratively) when her emotions run high.

Crystal powers include

Ruby: fire
Sapphire: water
Amethyst: healing (it can only heal one wound at a time)
Onyx: very durable
Topaz: stamina regeneration (only regenerates stamina from the previous day)
Opal: strong piercing attack (cooldown for making one is 15 minutes)

	“Hm.. We could use flint maybe? I think I have some in my backpack.” Daylight said as he jumped down off of the counter top, putting the frying pan full of popcorn on the side. He got his backpack off and rifled through the front pocket, finding a piece of flint. He then went over to the fireplace and attempted to start a fire. [Read more]

Daylight searched the cupboards and eventually fished out a box of microwaveable popcorn which was still in date. “Now to find a microwave.” He said with a sigh, looking around for one. After a couple minutes of looking, he gave up and just opted to use the fireplace to cook them instead. Daylight grabbed some vegetable oil and a frying pan from a drawer then tipped the popcorn out of the box.

He gathered up the last of the treasures that had fallen from the chest and with some careful balancing on his tail, he put them back where they belong on the window sill.
