Favorite characters? Ahh...This is going to be tough!

Soul Eater: Definitely Crona. A genderless character, I know, but to me Crona is a boy. He sounds like a boy, looks like one - in my mind he is a boy. xD At first I found him a little annoying, especially when he was first introduced as a villain. But seeing where he came from and where his character development went, I couldn't help but find a soft spot for him. Especially with his friendship with Maka, and how much faith he had in her. <3 Death the Kid and Soul are two close seconds.

Wolf's Rain: I honestly love them all, though Cheza grated on my nerves with how useless she was most of the time. All in all, I'd have to say it's a dead tie between Hige and Toboe. Hige has that personality that I'm instantly interested in, and Toboe is so sweet that it's impossible for me not to love him.

FLCL (Fooly Cooly): Haruko. Definitely Haruko! She is, hands down, the best female anime character I have ever seen. I typically hate female anime characters, since they tend to either be overly weak or overly rude in an attempt to not look like a weak character. Haruko is a ball of heartwarming, hilariousness, strength, and overall "What the heck am I watching??"

One Piece: Don't really care for the show now, but I really loved Sanji. His voice and the way he spoke really gave him such personality. Then Funimation had to come along and change his voice actor. I still like him, but he just isn't the same to me.

Zatch Bell: Brago. In fact, he and Sherry are the only reasons I still look at the show. As my first anime, it will always hold a special place in my heart, but I just can't watch most of the characters anymore. Brago was my favorite from the very beginning, and he still is. I even have a lot of his trading cards and little spell book from the TCG series. :3

Space Dandy: I love all three of the main characters, but Meow is definitely my favorite. I love his design, his voice, his personality. All of him! <3

Blue Exorcist: I just started watching it, since it replaced Sword Art Online on Toonami's lineup, and I already know Mephisto is going to be my absolute favorite. I just...I can't put into words how awesome he is! Though Rin is a very close second.

And...That's about it. :3

Mirej, thank you, but I have noticed that that one is a little more focused on PokeHeroes shinies, if I understand correctly, while this one can be solely for the official games (I will take that little part of out the introduction about PokeHeroes in recognition of the other clan.) :)

This is a club for all those Pokemon fans who have spent even a small portion of their time looking for those alternately colored little critters on the official Pokemon games. We're here to discuss our current hunts, what methods are currently known, and congratulate those fans that have been victorious. (Nothing wrong with a little bragging when it comes to these rarities, am I right? ;) )

Any successful hunts so far?: Yep! Eleven. About ten, if you don't count the random Shiny Pidgey that broke my Pokeradar chain.

I thought it'd be fun...

I thought it'd make me have a little more interest in the Pokemon games I don't really play, anymore...

I have made a grave mistake. ;~:

Last week I started my first Nuzlocke run on my Emerald with only three rules: The basic two, and that my I.D decided what starter I would get. Mine ends with five, so I started with Torchic. Everything was going good, I had a great team going. Then I hit my first death. My Gulpin, Orson, fainted against Brendan's Marshtomp (since I forgot that Poison is weak against Ground) on Route 110. Okay. I can recover...Got an Oddish named Orchid to take his place.

Everything was going good again, until I got to Norman's gym. Slaking was a piece of cake until it used Facade...And fainted my Combusken, Rowtag. Orchid poisoned that darn Slaking, and before it could faint it hit her with another Facade.

Oh, sweet Arceus why did I do this?? These things are just colorful images for a game, why do I feel so terrible?! I almost don't want to continue the game.

Is anyone else braving through this heartbreaking challenge?

*crawls away to mourn my poor fallen Pokemon*

Mine is to lose weight, or at least work on better eating habits. I think it's going okay...Haven't stuck to a strict diet yet, but I'm not eating as much junk food. :)

I've also made a resolution to think more positively. I started this thing I saw on FB, where you write down every good thing that has happened to you on slips of paper, and put those slips in a jar. Then, at the end of the year you dump them all out and see every good thing that happened to you over the year. (I'm also adding change to the same jar, and at the end of 2014 I'm going to use that change on something for my family.) It's really helped me to not think to negatively. :)

My first was Sapphire. :3

I've been a Pokemon fan since it first came to the States (and a little before then, since I had a friend whose family had Japanese connections), but it wasn't until middle school that I realized what the games really were. I saw a couple friends playing them, but it was mainly the show and cards that had my attention back then. I can't remember why it was Sapphire, though. I guess it was the only used Pokemon game the store had at the time.

I miss that cartridge. :C I think it got stolen right after I transferred my first starter over to my brand new Diamond game...which later was stolen, too. A couple girls I knew traded me their old Sapphire cartridge, which is collecting dust in my game holder.

I think it was some kind of joke...Or my failed attempt to sound edgy. I think my first shiny was a Wobbuffet that I ran across in my Sapphire game, in the Safari Zone. That game was my first ever experience with the Pokemon games, so I really didn't know what I was doing. My friend, who was younger and even less experienced with Pokemon, told me that it was a glitch and to run. And I listened. ;~:

Fortunately, it wasn't that much later when I came upon a shiny Wurmple. At the time, I wasn't really playing attention. I didn't even see that it was different, since the my old DS screen wasn't the best. But I caught a little flash of the sparkle animation and thought "why the heck not?" I wanted it to be a silcoon, but I ended up with Cascoon and a Dustox, instead. I still loved it, even though I have no idea what happened to that save file.

I caught a shiny Bellsprout in LeafGreen. I trained it to be in my team, and evolved it all the way to Victreebel. Then I ended up giving the game to someone who was a friend at the time, and he deleted the save file right away.

I've also picked up a shiny Geodude in Emerald, but I deleted the save file it was in not that long after since I really didn't care for the Geodude line. (I now regret that decision.)

Annnd...In FireRed I found a male Nidoran in the Safari Zone. I actually caught it, and it's still on that same game file, now a Nidoking. I'm going to make my way to the Pal Park in my Diamond game sooner or later, and transfer it out.

Aside from the usual Red Gyarados, I think that's it for the older games. Now, Pokemon X is a different story. I've been so lucky with that game! I currently have nine shinies, from Masuda Methoding, the Pokeradar, and one that was randomly found. Here's the list:

M. Goomy (Gummi) - Masuda Method
F. Cubone/Marowak (Jojo) - Masuda Method
F. Skiddo (Circe) - Pokeradar
F. Plusle - Pokeradar
M. Zangoose (Romeo) - Pokeradar
F. Pidgey/Pidgeotto (Celeste) - Randomly found while chaining
F. Shroomish/Breloom (Blitzen) - Masuda Method
M. Gulpin (Azure) - Pokeradar
F. Zigzagoon/Linoone (Furball) - Pokeradar

And I'm currently trying to hatch a shiny Weedle. :)

Guys, have I mentioned how much I love the Pokeradar? Because I do. I caught a shiny Zangoose yesterday morning on a chain of three, and a shiny Plusle this morning after getting to a 40 chain. I'm trying to Masuda Method a shiny Bulbasaur now, so I hope my luck hasn't been totally used up. xD

Oh, if anyone who has me added could tell me what's in my Friend Safari, that would be awesome! The curiosity is really starting to get to me.

@CarpetMonster: Good luck! I'm slowly beginning to understand the nature/I.Vs thing, but it all still confuses the heck out of me. It's really amazing what strategies people can pick out for their Pokemon teams, even if it looks so darn complicated to me.

@GreenNeonz: Lucky! I've been trying to get a shiny Zigzagoon since I got the Radar a couple weeks ago. Still, that's pretty awesome! It's a good thing you had pokeballs on you. I know there must be a ton of people who ran into shinies at the beginning of the game, before they got the chance to buy some. xD

Speaking of which...

I have succeeded! I caught a shiny female Skiddo! I named her Circe. :3 I tried to get another, but ran out of repels. Oh, well. I was actually pretty close to running out before I saw that shiny patch.
