I think you are talking about this :

That's a Powerorb. It is randomly generated by every Exp. share you own when interacting with Pokémon. Powerorbs can be used to raise your own Pokémon's EXP and your egg's EHP.

One powerorb can be used to increase a pokemon's exp. points by 10.
One powerorb can be used to raise an egg's EHP by 1

You can use it by clicking your pokemon or egg (to enter its page) and clicking on 'use' button after selecting number of powerorbs you want to use under the Powerorbs section.
