The embers surprise the rat, getting damaged greatly.
"My chance...is...with my friends, you fool rat. Do you still have any?" I say, getting up again, badly injured.
"Erm....screw you!" THe rat sudden lost it courage, getting scared, but not running away.
"Can you give me an answer? Did a bug, besides my friend there, passed by here?"
"No...here leads to the next floors. If you follow the otherside of the cave, you'll find a dead end...luckily this guy should be there."
"Thank....you.Take care of your friends." I turn my back to him. It let out a strange noise, and perhaps try a last tackle, for revenge. Quickly, with my log, I pound him, knocking out the rat.
Probably I leveled up...again. I should be 8 by now.
"Guys...let's get back? Or shall we rest?"

I realize too late that the rat is too close.
I take a strong Quick attack, who lets me smelling the ground.
"Ha! First think in your ass. Which I'll kick." the rat says.
I try to get up. It's hard, but not impossible. I see a rock close, a little small, but enough for now. I throw it on the Diglett, who starts coming for me.
Bill...this is for you, bro.
I gather my energy to give a last resort on Diglett. Charging with a scream, my focus energy turns on, as well as I hit the mole.
It spins a bit dizzy, 'cause it was enough. Weakened, the diglett faints. Now, just one...
The rat. Crap.
It tackles my back. I let out a painful scream.
"You are finished, dude. Do you think you have any chance?"

A strong fire attack goes flying and blasts Zubat.In flames, the bat starts screaming and...runs. A timid Venipede, Ven, shows itself ready to help, as long as Bill was dealing with the Diglett.
The rattata in my front says, "What do you want here, in our house? Only pain waits for you down here, my friend."
"Know what? For you too!" I Pound him, but it just gets closer. Didn't deal much damage. I return with a Leer, the rat Leers me too.
I turn my head aside and scream, "Ven! Help Vem, can you, please? We'll reach you in a sec. Bill, how about a double battle?"

Some familiar voice called me out.
I looked back, and Bill's there. What a magnific view.
"C'mon Bill, help me here! For now, let's drag their attention and get Vem out of danger!"
I run into the bad group, Pounding hard the Owl. It was probably the weakest, since it faints.
The rat back attack me, and I turn to face it. The mole and the bat head towards Bill.
"Damn...I need to help him! But how?"

Even without help, I go inside.
The first floor seems common. Rattatas who didn't know Quick attack keep fainting in sequence to me. Some hoothoots stare, the braver ones faints to me. Weaker, sure. Suddenly, I hear a scream somewhere not too far, and another closer...I step into a strange...mole? It keeps digging, appearing and disappearing. I couldn't spot it correctly. Damn!
I put my log on the ground and climb in it, trying to figure out how to find the strange mole. It starts to say:
"GET OUT OF MY TERRITORY"
"Wait, dude! I didn't know this is your place. I'm just passing by. You happen to have seen another outsider pokémon coming too?"
"WHY SHOULD I ANSWER YOU?"
"THEN COME HERE!"
It obeys and leaves the ground. Looks directly at me. I don't lose time and jump right into it with a Pound. He strikes back with a Scratch.
"Yes. Two pokémon. They headed ahead. You should catch them up....OR DIE HERE."
He digs again, disappearing. I start running until spot a nearly fainting pokémon...with a bandanna. One of the PokéHeroes!
"HEY! Are you okay?"

Meanwhile...
I woke up next to The great Milotic's house. As well as she sees me ready to go, gives to me a departure gift: An explorer bag, with capacity for some itens. I greet her and leave.
After ten minutes of walk, I was able to collect 3 berries: Oran, oran and...cheri. Oran restore health, but cheri does what? I don't know yet. Then, I see, with my little eyes, a scatterbug crying.
"Hey, dude, why are you crying?"- I ask.
"MY...MY BIG BRO...We were playing in a forest, then I got lost....then I managed to leave....but I don't find my bro....could you look for him? *sobs*
"Whoa, what a problem! Yes, surely I can. Where were you playing?"
She points to some woods closer. They look like an entrance to somewhere...like...a dungeon!
"Th-thank you, Nee-san! Please, find my big bro!"
...
Crap. How do I survive in a dungeon ALONE? IF I had some help...or some other PokéHero to help me...

The water pokémon keep coming. Like...hordes. They were the newest childs of the older pokémon couples, who I had befriended.
First horde: Karps. They used splash a bunch of times, but two Leers and a round of Pounds took care of them.
Second fight:A great Milotic mom told me to train with her daughter, a Feebas. SHe was somehow pretty, but sharp at the tackle thing. I had a hard time, she was as good as me. I took minutes, but defeated her, and leveled up. Level 6!
I got injured in the last fight, so, great Milotic gave me Orans. Healed again!
Third fight: I slept near the great Milotic's spot.

Ven seemed so...distant. Seems a good idea go look for something in some other place.
Walking a bit around town, I found out some water shore place, where water-type pokémons were gathering. I asked for they some training, replying sending their youngsters against me: Magikarp, feebas and a poliwag, probably in lower levels than me. I shouldn't break them, just get the idea of a training for both of us!

Watching the flying flames, in a high speed, I try to protect myself with my log...but it takes the damage and heats me too. Anyway, I felt the fire.
"Hot thing, isn't it guy? Good!"
Sees people watching.
"You guys want to try it too? C'mon, it isn't that hard...think in something. For myself, Mrs. Goat said to me in private how to know what you can do, why don't you try it? Or...just come here and I'll test your skills! Like....this!"
