I have to disagree with your most of your post. Though I agree this is a Pokemon adoptable website were that is the first and foremost feature, the forums is a great way to get to know other players and it makes the website that much more enjoyable. As just clicking on pixels over and over is very repetitive and get's boring fast and the website would lose members. Following your post we should just get rid of the forums period as none of fits into the site, but if you did that this website would go down quickly, so the forums are a big part of the website and it brings the community together. And just because roleplaying is considered "off topic" doesn't mean it isn't a big part of the website. Off topic means that you can do anything in those forums, and in the roleplaying forums there is a subforum for Pokemon roleplays which ties into the website as it is a Pokemon centred website. Also if you go look at the forum counts, you say roleplaying doesn't fit with one of the main features of the forum, yet it is one of the busiest place with over 500k posts. So you can't say that it isn't a main feature. Touching on the rest of your post, it doesn't make sense to make that kind of subforum for fanmades as you present your work and people can see if you are intermediate or advance right off the bat, and then they choose to either engage with you or leave your topic. Same thing with trading. What would constitute an "advanced" forum for trading? It doesn't make any sense. If someone lowballs with an offer you just reject it and move on, having an "advance" forum doesn't even fit in with trading at all. But if you find a way of incorporating it why not make a suggestion. Anything to make the website that much better. The last part of your post is what irritates me the most. Just because there are people who want an area that they could easily find advanced roleplays, be it pokemon or other topics, you are saying we shouldn't even come onto PH because you say the majority of people on here are pre-teens that don't understand grammar or how to spell. You insult the roleplayers, and the pre-teens on this website. You are pretty much saying that they cannot spell or use grammar properly and that's why we shouldn't have a subforum. If anything, a subforum will help avid roleplayers to strive to become better writers so they could join in an advanced roleplay. Everyone has to start somewhere, all of us started off as beginners, writing one liners. But we slowly moved up and began to write more details, and more in depth roleplays. And you are saying we shouldn't be able to enjoy that? No where in the rules on PH does it say that only "low quality roleplaying" is allowed here and saying that we shouldn't be on here because of that is ignorant. I enjoy the main aspect of this game, it's unique and fun. But I would also love to join into a roleplay where I don't have people posting two words as a reply. All that Mewsic is suggesting is a way that all roleplayers could find a roleplay that is something they are comfortable with, be it long paragraphs or a few sentences. As for the member of the month, easily fixable especially once we start to get more members. You can have a rule that you can only win once let's say within the year (or half year whatever will work best), so 12 different winners in total. But again this will only work well once the club has a lot more members, like you are looking at at least 15+ members, not including the staff and also assuming the club stays active for the duration of PH being active. So this feature I'd say bring in once the club is up and running and on it's feet. And if we get a whole bunch of new members that stay active that can be changed from a month to bi-weekly. The only thing I have against staff is that people can become bias as well, that will always be there. So what if it's the members that nominate helpful and positive members of the group to become member of the month, outlining why they should receive the award? Something like that anyways. Alrighty, so battling is a no go unless people figure it out on their own. Maybe we could have a sign up sheet for battling in the group, so if anyone wants to battle they can put their name down (with any restrictions they want) and if anyone wants to challenge them they can, but that will be planned on their own. We can just provide a means of a place where battlers can gather and post challenges and what not. Mmm a shop. Yeah that could work. But whoever runs the shop shouldn't keep the points spent, those should just disappear after use. If anything the person running the shop can have a list and keep track of how many points everyone has, but this will be a two way street in the sense that if you gained points, let the person know so they can update your amount if it isn't done already. This would be a big honour system for the club as people can lie and probably will if the prizes are valuable enough. Naming them I think is easy xD Rocket Points! (Only thing that came to mind...actually). As to how to obtain them, mini games would be an obvious choice, and maybe some can be raffled away...like a weekly...monthly raffle? (But only to active members so they would have to enter the raffle to be eligible.) You can award points for contributing something to the club (a new idea, help with coding, really anything that helps the club run smoother), or have a member of the month award (that can only be obtained with certain qualifications and then a vote from the staff you have or even from the entire club).
