Brennus closed his hand around her wrist and pulled her hand back. “We need to leave. Now.” His grip was tight, but his gaze was steady.
“If we get caught here, be it by the police or whoever did this, we’re in deep crap.” He then sighed sharply. “I have enough strength to fly a short distance. I could probably get you home, there’s a snowman’s chance down below that I’ll let you walk home alone.”
