Personality: Confident, Loyal when she deems you worthy, she can be very Passionate about her pokemon; Arrogant, has a bit of a Temper, Sarcastic and very Impulsive at times.
History: Maddy spent most of her childhood in Lumiose City with her mother. Everything was fine until her mother met her now step-father and they moved from Kalos all the way to New Bark Town. She hated the move and always put up a fight leading to her being a more brash and angry teenager. Eventually her mom suggested she get a Pokemon, hoping she'd bond and would become kinder but if anything it helped her fuel her anger from the move into Pokemon battles.

	I don't understand your idea very much. Couldn't you just use your first box as a place to hold the Pokemon you'd like in your party but can't because of your eggs? (Unless you have the egg storage box and you can move your eggs there.) You'll have to expand more on this idea as it is very vague and I have no idea what the point of it is. [Read more]

Nik nodded to them and started down the path, determined to catch a Pokemon before reaching the next town. 'A pidgey would be nice...especially once it evolves all the way through, that'll be very handy.' He thought, half listening to his friends conversation. "Mewtwo, that's who I'd love to face. Or maybe even Arceus." He slowed down a bit and looked back at the group, trying to contribute to the conversation. "Though I swear I thought I saw Xerneas when I was younger back when I lived in Kalos..." He rambled on and shrugged. It was a faint distant memory, and well Nikolai wasn't a hundred percent sure it was that Pokemon, but he liked to think that it was.

Nikolai looked back at the group and said, "You guys ready? Because I want to reach the next town before the day ends.." He glanced at his watch. They had already spent some time here at the lab and now it was time to go. He was itching to get out into the world and slow people were not going to keep him from leaving. Without waiting for a reply he started towards route 29.

'Cherrygrove city is our next stop if I remember correctly.' He thought as his mind wandered back towards the map his mother showed him the day before. He pulled on his backpack straps, tightening them so it would sit better as he walked down along the path, keeping an eye out on any Pokemon that could potentially be his next partner.

Professor Elm nodded and smiled at the enthusiastic bunch. "Well then, my assistant here will hand out your pokeballs and then you are free to head out. Enjoy your journey and remember to have fun." Said assistant walked up to each of the new trainers handing them the five pokeballs before walking away the box now empty.

Nikolai returned his new friend and clipped the Pokeball onto his belt, along with the five empty ones. He looked over at the group and said, "I don't know about you, but I'm ready to leave this...small town." He turned and headed towards the door, pulling his poke gear out and opening up the application for gym leaders. Though the next town didn't have a gym leader, the one after did. 'A flying type gym...an electric Pokemon would be great for that gym. Though I doubt I'll find one now...' He bit his lip as he shoved the door open from the lab using his back, his eyes glued to the screen in front of him. 'Hm if I remember correctly, rock and ice both do a lot of damage. I guess I'll just have to keep my eyes open.' He shut the gear and put it back into the pocket of his bag and turned around, waiting for the rest of the group to come out so they could finally start.

"Well..." He finally managed to get out. "At least you are strong." He shook his head a bit. "But no more flamethrowers at the face, otherwise I'll pick a different Pokemon." He sat up and looked at the Charmander who stopped laughing and stared at Nikolai with a solemn expression before nodding and holding out his arm (er paw?) to Nikolai who in turn smiled and shook it gently. "Good." He stood up and brushed his pants with his hands. "I'll be taking Charmander then." Charmander smiled and let out a blast of fire once more, but this time away from any one.

Professor Elm nodded, "Good choice. Now did everyone pick their Pokemon then?" He asked and handed Nikolai his pokedex and Charmander's pokeball. "Before you leave, we have some gifts for the six of you. Each of you will receive a map of the Johto region that will automatically download into your pokegear. As well as five pokeballs to get you started."

The professor smiled and watched them, "Yes I am perfectly fine girls. Thank you." He brushed off the dirt from his pants and took the pokeballs from Asuna. "Thank you. Ah your parents..hmm..I'm sure I have that somewhere in the computers." He looked at her, "But you really should pick the Pokemon you'd like, just like your parents did. And I think Froakie will really help you bring out your potential." He handed her Froakie's Pokeball. "You'll need this."
He then turned to Leli, holding out Snivy's pokeball. "Well it seems very attached to you. And this is something you'll need." He was glad to see that two of them had picked out their Pokemon. Another seemed to be almost close to her choice, and the other two were still debating.

Nikolai walked around, making sure not to bump into another of the Pokemon running around and causing a little bit of mayhem. He stopped and finally noticed the Charmander. Slowly he made his way over to the Pokemon and knelt down beside him. The Charmander looked up and stared at Nikolai for a moment before letting out some fire causing the redhead to fall back to just barely escaping the fire hitting him in the face. The Charmander laughed and Nikolai just sat on the floor a little confused as to what to do next. He did not anticipate this kind of reaction from the Pokemon.

Nikolai shook his head, "Right so you guys can debate which Pokemon you want. I'm going to go inside and get the one I want before any of you decide you want it." He said, looking at them all. "Or, you know, you can check them out and then decide." He shrugged and walked over to the lab doors and pushed them open, walking inside.

Once in Nikolai looked around. The room was filled with machines beeping and flashing different colours. There was a wall dedicated to just computers, some being used and some not. "Wow." He exclaimed to himself and kept walking, glancing back only momentarily to see if any of the others had dared to venture inside. Some of the people inside has stopped what they were doing to look over at the group, smile a bit and then go back to their duties.

"Ah good good you are all..almost on time." Exclaimed a voice from in front of Nikolai. He looked up to see a tall, thin man standing at the front, balancing a large tray filled with pokeballs. "Come in everyone, don't be shy." He smiled and while balancing the tray on one hand, waved to the rest of the group to come in. "I am Professor Elm. I'm sure most, if not all, of you know me. Today you'll be picking your first Pokemon. Please choose wisely as they will be your partner from now on." He took a step towards them only to trip and set all the pokeballs on the tray flying into the air and onto the ground. As they hit the ground they began to release the Pokemon inside. "Oh dear." He said, getting up off the ground and fixing his glasses. "Well this is one way to do it."

Nikolai stepped back and watched Pokemon after Pokemon appear in front of himself and the others. 'Now where is that Charmander?' He thought.

Nikolai gave a small smile and shrugged. Of course he wasn't going to change just because they were all going on this journey together. He would have gone off on his own but, after a few 'convincing' arguments made by his mom he decided to try out the group thing. See if it was worth all they hype, and apparently it was 'more fun' to go with friends then to wander the region alone.

He watched the two girls chat for a moment before turning away, fiddling a bit with the strap of his bag. He was slowly getting impatient. How much longer were they going to have to wait. He turned around once more and saw Henry making his way up towards them. "Three down...all that's left is Leli.." He muttered to himself, nodding slightly to Henry before looking away once more.
