Seraphina stared at Alaire.
"...You seem like the better choice, yep."
She jumped slightly at the mention of monsters.
"Monsters?"
Immediately, it was very clear that the humans taht were in this field, were locked in by some magic forcefield or whatnot. And outside the dome, a wave of monsters was starting to spawn in.
Suddenly, Gabriel reappeared.
"Oh, i almost forgot, silly goofy me. Say "Status Window" out loud! It'll be important, trust me. See you!"
And once more, the angel disappeared.

But clearly, Ayran has no perception about working with such weapon. Especially with such familiarity. The closest thing he welded to a weapon would be his set of kitchen knife or perhaps a butcher knife he would use to steal from his local butcher when they weren't looking.
But never these dual set of scimitars.
He shook his head, why was he analyzing so deep into this? It should be a good thing that it felt natural to his hands.
Ayran let out a tired laugh, and gaze high at the beautifully clear blue sky hazy down at them emotionlessly. It has never felt so easy to get lost under the blanket of blue, nor did it ever made them feel so small.
"To be so beautiful.. yet so cruel." His whisper gets lost in the wind instantly amongst the cries of others.
Alas now it was not the time to get melancholic, Ayran scolded himself and patted his face. With a firm look he calmly summoned his status window.
"[Status Window]"
"Don't clap, just throw money," she informed her audience. Then... "Hey, where'd the biblically accurate angel thing go?"
She looked around, and finally noticed it. A little die that was hovering in front of her face. Curiously, she turned her head to the side and watched as it followed. She scrunched up her nose at it.
Then it jumped forward and she yelped, falling backwards.
It started shaking and she got the sense that it was laughing at her. "Hey, stop that," she complained. "That's rude."
Miyasaki waved his hand, darkly glowering at the translucent blue screen.
"Status window?"
Seraphina tilted her head slightly, before jumping back in surprise when the blue screen appeared.
"Woah- What the f!ck!"

"Status window!" She chirped, directly in the short person's ear and yelped as a screen phased through their body and she was-
She blinked.
"Woah. Okay. Slightly creepy."
Shieta sighs, and just decides to give. It wasn't worth the effort. Surely.. the quirky women would notice her soon.. right? But something tells Shieta... it was just the beginning.
A shiver ran up her spine.
Shaking her head, Shieta puts herself in a more comfortable position and glances at the die that was just calmly floating above her hand. Thank goodness her dice didn't have a sudden outburst like others.
Without further ado, she rolls the dice.
[drrr.. drrr...]
It glows brightly for a moment, before a rugged-covered book appears in her hand.
[Witch's Syllabus (C)]
The book opened automatically, as if it was trying to show off it's content. Mysterious letters floated out of its fluttering pages that Shieta has never seen before. It was something that seemed unfathomable to ordinary human beings, but now, it was available, just for her.
WIthout wasting even a moment, Shieta checked for the item description.
[The Witch's Syllabus! Something even the highest of witch's and wizard's started out from! Containing all of the basics that every newbie magician should know, and even some blank pages at the back for your own use to practice your own spells!
Covering all of the basics of all subjects such as: Enchantments, Curses, Blessings, Potions, Elementals, Illusions, to just general spells!
C'mon! It's a buy one get one free, effects are guaranteed!]
"Plap!"
Shieta closed the book.
Wasn't this too cheap from the system?!
She should've known from her previous streak of bad luck, that there was no way something good was going to come out from her dice! She bets all of the money went into the presentation than the actual effects of the spells!
Gritting her teeth, Shieta resisted the urge to smash the book onto the ground with her bare fist.
No. She must calm down. Yes. Be as cold as ice. Keep your emotions indoor. All locked up. The Key? Gone.
After hypnotizing herself that everything would be alright, Shieta is already emotionally exhausted to even check her stats.
"Edit screen."
A screen opened in front of him.
He flicked through the traits, scrolling past many of the traits he'd used in previous regressions, before finally settling on one.
"And if I just..."

He had better stats than he originally thought.
But other than that, there was no other thing that caught his eye.. except his inherent skill. Before Ayran thought that it was strange why he the dual scimitars felt so natural in his hands. But it seems like his skill explains everything.
But there was one worry though.
If the weapon breaks before he gets a new one, isn't he practically doomed?
She closed the window as quickly as she pulled it up, seeing exactly what she expected it to see. Her gold quantity wouldn't load until she dispatched her first enemy. Seeing her companion successfully navigate her own window, Alaire nodded once.
"Call upon it when you need to see it. It's always there. Lurking out of sight insidiously, of course." She smiled a not-so-reassuring smile, her focus back on the ridiculous winged creature.
Thankfully no one could see her god-awful name. Could she set the name? Did AC even care? A barcode was decent enough. Her cloak was already loaded into her inventory it seemed.

My current RP work:
Suddenly, mayhem broke out, the tenuous peace shattered in an instant, as dire wolves and goblins started to pour into the little clearing.
And in an instant, Miyasaki moved, slamming his bat into the back of the head of a random person beside him. Completely poker faced, he bashed in the head of a random innocent. blood sprayed across his shoes, which he grimaced at slightly.
"Disgusting."
A notification appeared.
[You have unlocked [Dual Aura(C)] on your weapon, [Caliburn(S)]!]
He raised his bat, which dripped with blood, humming quietly to himself.
Another notification appeared.
Admist the screaming of people who had become panicked at his display of violence, he flicked open a screen.
[You have unlocked the [PLAYER STORE]!]

Three had to be good. Five was probably genius. Any scores above that, well- probably some eldritch-ish thing, she decided, puffing her cheeks out.
Something sprayed across her face. She blinked as a metallic smell hit her nose. Slowly, she raised her hand and gently touched the bridge of her nose.
When she pulled it back, her fingers were bloody.
Andreja blinked. When it didn't change, she blinked again.
Oh, emo boy had hit someone with his bat. So he wasn't just a run-of-the-mill deranged kid hunting for stray baseballs.
He wanted people.
"Well," she said breathily. "Would you look at that."
Another swing of his bat sent another person falling to the ground.
Slam. Slam. Slam.
3 hits to the back of the head.
[Level up!]
The wolves were rushing in. This wasn't going well at all.
Miyasaki reached up, wiping the specks of blood off his face.
"...How boring."
He muttered softly.

Laying her aching back against the grounds, Shieta summoned her status window.
Before she could even comprehend and store all the information, a sudden splash of cold... metallic liquid sprayed towards the corner of her lips. As long as she stick her tongue out, she would be able to taste it. Not that she'd even dare to.
Oh she could smell it.
It was blood.
Shieta pursed her lips, exerted her strength, and pushed the Missy away from her, and getting up from the ground. Her eyes became chilled, as she looked towards the man fighting against the pack of wolves.
Man?
No it was more like a butcher on his daily hunt.
"How.. How is he so used to this?" Shieta mumbled, unsure whether if she should be horrified or amazed.
A man with an axe ran at them, and she sliced off his arm. He fell to his knees, howling, and a stab put him out of his misery.
[You have unlocked the [PLAYER STORE]!]
[Congratulations, you are the second person to unlock the store!]

"The people," another stab into the horde, "are the real problem." She swung into action with another flurry of slices. Alaire was swift and efficient, her effortless fighting a blur. "They come in waves trying to smell weakness. And you can't progress without killing... something."
AC swallowed, the press of people transforming to panic. Hands in her pockets, she clutched her twin knives, hesitating on using them. Blood and gore surrounded her and she felt... strangely calm. Sure, the stench made her stomach turn, but her mind was clear.
And the regressor was killing people, so it seemed necessary. Could she... do this? AC didn't have time to ask as a goblin ran at her. She reached out instinctively to stop it, knife in hand. It impaled itself on her knife.
She was horrified as she watched it die.
No.
She was supposed to be horrified, and the emotion was on the edge of her subconscious. But in actuality, AC was strangely detached, curious at the creature's dark green blood. She had caused that.

Most of the players around him had long since died from humans or the monsters, he didn't much care or had run away. A brave few were taking the wolves head on, which he commended them for.
He tabbed over to the skills portion, scrolling all the way down.
A wolf came bounding at him, which he simply batted away with a swing of his bat.
"Where is it..."
He flicked through the screen, before pausing his scrolling.
"There it is."

AC shrugged. Well she had already killed one thing, and killing things seemed to help her stats...? She stabbed another goblin that lunged. Her aim was slightly off, and instead of catching it in the chest like her brain had planned it, the strike was a glancing blow to the ribs. AC scowled, kicking it, and stuck a knife in its head.
Two-handed combat was actually really hard. She had to manage two limbs instead of just her dominant hand, both of which had stabby blades of death attached to the ends of them. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw movement. What was the emo kid doing (aside from killing humans)? She was staying out of his range...
He was interacting with the shop. She pulled up the translucent screen, watching it as she defeated a third goblin. Her balance went from ten gold to fifteen as the creature died. So it was like... a video game? Kill mobs and defeat hordes for gold and experience? There were so many skills to lean and gear to buy... she had no idea where to start.
If this was video game based, it was best to draw from her own experiences. AC had always been the control spot... never attacking on the front lines, but not quite a sissy healer. Ranged attacks and AoE attacks were her forte, with maybe a minor healing spell on most of her characters as a backup. It was the role she knew best. But she needed teammates. Crap.
Goblins were easy targets, and before she knew it, AC had a decent pile of five or six corpses around her. It was best to think of them as mindless spawns of the tower. If she tried to contemplate the possibility of a goblin nation right now, she would have to face the fact that she was killing creatures that just wanted to live.
Evil attacks, and good defends... she thought, a line from one of her favorite books. Thems were the rules. She didn't make them, only followed them.

"...Eh? Not really."
She laughed quietly.
"I can take a little gore."
as a group of goblins rushed at them, Seraphina's neitral expression broke into a grin. She took a few steps forward, not bothering to dodge the daggers and clubs swinging at her.
"I understand what's happening now. I get it!"
She stabbed the dagger into the goblin's head, before pulling it out, and stabbing it once more for good measure.
"It's just a game! And I love games."

Miyasaki hummed quietly, as his gaze swept across the field, standing amongst a pile of bloodied corpses.
His gaze rested upon two people across the field.

The moth was bloodthirsty. What an interesting development. In contrast to the rest of the humans, she had no fear, slashing and stabbing without abandon and throwing her whole self into the fray. She might be a useful ally.
AC kept one eye on the emo kid, shifting imperceptibly to avoid him in battle. So when he straightened up, she saw it, following his gaze to a pair of purple haired women killing... killing like him. One seemed more restrained than the other, artistry compared to mania. Who were they? Regressors, whatever a regressor was? She had a feeling she'd find out.
It could be worse. She could have not met the emo kid and been brutally slaughtered by him within the first five minutes. AC had certainly been in his radius...
That was yesterday's problem. She was fine.

The clubs were supposed to hurt. They didn't.
Hm. She wasn't sure how some of these goblins were falling over on their own. Was it related to that inherent ability thing?
She wasn't quite sure.

But Seraphina needed to be at the forefront of his mind. "Your inherent ability is quite useful, little moth. Deflect and reflect..." she laughed, watching goblin after goblin after wolf after goblin fall around them. "Mine... well, I have to rely on wits-" she lifted a wolf, tossing it into three others, "-alone in combat."
