How could he shift back to 'happy' so quickly? Cath was tired, and her headache was not going away. But she smiled anyway, and looked fondly at her friends. She was impressed that Kendo had gotten Theo to admit his love for him, and was happy that they were finally together.

"So what now? Back to coffee shop, in which the most frequent patron becomes an even more frequent visitor?"

The doctor came in the room, and prescribed anti-biotics for the wound on Kendo's neck. "Change the bandages twice a day, and use take the pills every twelve hours. And young man, I do not want to see you in here again for the same injury. Please."

Doctor Neyrwatu looked each of the three of them in the eyes before bidding them farewell. Cath filled out the discharge paperwork, handing it to Kendo so he could sign at the bottom.

"Ready?"

He reached to open the door to the coffee shop, then paused. How long have we been away? A couple hours? ...A day? He opened the door. However long it was, atleast we don't have to go through it again.
