Hi, to start off I absolutely hate the searching feature so I have no clue if this was brought up before and sorry if it was

So, today i got a notification for a private trade, and this is what i got (Name and Message obscured for obvious reasons)


Which is all fine and cool, except for the fact I’ve had them blocked for over a year. I wont say what the message exactly was but it was what you’d expect, begging to be forgiven for stuff, yaddayadda

Why, can they contact me, when I have them blocked? Is this an oversight? The reason I have them blocked is for the obvious reasons, for them to not contact me. But the fact that this trade went through clearly shows that there are ways for blocked users to still contact the person who blocked them. This is really upsetting.

???? That is contacting me directly. Making a private trade (cant possibly be a friends only as i do not have them added) and messaging me through the trade description is CONTACTING ME DIRECTLY

This is the bugs and complaints section, if this truly is an intended feature then I am complaining about it

It's sad that this still a feature. They can still contact you through trades and will still bother you.

And no. Riako isn't fixing that simply coz he saying blocking isn't just "right". that's why we don't have a blocklist :/
For years blocking someone is just preventing you getting palpads, messages, likes and comments in your feeds. That's it. Everything else they can still bother you

Not to be rude, but I think that you’re not qualified to say what is or is not a bug, because youre not staff. Just because something has been going on for a while, doesnt mean it’s not an overlooked bug.

If they cant gift you a plushie, then they shouldn’t be able to do this either

I dont see why,, you feel the need to continue this conversation.

I am aware that this has been happening for a while which is why i am complaining about it in the complaining section. If I wanted to make a suggestion or support one I would be in that category. Thank you and good day

1. It's a bug. Never reporting it because "it's always been that way" does not mean it's suddenly not a bug.

2. While it's not exactly the same, someone made this report about getting gifts from users on their blocklist. So Riako is aware of the problem
(it might've been caused by the GTS overhaul)

3. The 'friendlist' only option sends a trade to everyone on the sender's friendlist. They might not be on yours, but if you're on theirs, you'll get the trade. It's not a mutual kinda thing.
