Im someone who enjoys hunting in the Safari Zone, but finds it extremely frustrating due to the apparent change in spawn rates once you start hunting a specific patterned Vivillon.

The very first hunt that made this issue apparent to me was my hunt for the garden patterned Vivillon, which I decided on in the first place because that pattern spawned in more often than all the others. The moment I caught one garden Vivillon, not a single one spawned in for the rest of the three or four minutes that I had left. I tried again, thinking "Eh, maybe just bad luck," but I didnt see another one for many sessions. I then tried switching to hunting the tundra patterned Vivillon, but the exact same thing happened. I was able to catch one before they completely stopped spawning. At this point, I suspected that the spawn rate of a specific Vivillon pattern must change once you catch them.

In order to test my theory, I tried catching three specific patterns of Vivillon: Icy Snow, Ocean, and Elegant. The only pattern to continue spawning in after I caught one was the icy snow pattern. I then started another session and caught one icy snow patterned Vivillon, and another one didnt spawn in for the remaining four and a half minutes of that session despite being the most common pattern I saw in every other one.

Im not sure if this drop in the spawn rate is intended or a bug, but nonetheless, it makes hunting in the Safari Zone feel unnecessarily difficult and resource consuming. I understand that safari hunting is meant to take much more patience than normal shiny hunting, and I dont mind this at all. However, safari hunting doesnt feel worth the effort it takes. If I could catch one or two Vivillons of the pattern Im hunting every session, I would be happy, but I cant even catch one every three sessions, which makes the thousands of PD I spent for nothing. If the spawn rate of the pattern Im hunting could only very slightly decrease, or better yet, remain consistent, I think it would greatly improve the quality of safari hunting.

Along with the issue with spawn rates is the speed at which some of the Pokemon move. I dont think that the speed limit should be so high that some Pokemon are literally impossible to catch because theyre moving so fast. In my opinion, a decrease in the speed limit so that its at least possible to catch all Pokemon would be a fantastic improvement as well.
