So after I fished up a pokemon, it said it escaped when I clearly caught it and when I tried to cast my rod it said it escaped.I tried casting my rod but it said it escaped again and again.Is it a new glitch or an old one?I do not know

This happens when you double-click the Pull button
Very old bug - 4 years in fact
Refreshing the page will fix it

Happens when you double click on 'Pull Road'.
It means to the system that you pulled two fishes together.
The first fish you catch is caught, and the second one as glitch gets excaped.
It will continuously show 'Escaped' as to the system, the second fish (second clicked pull) is really escaped.

Just you need to refresh/reload the page to fix it.
