Clemensia bits her lip again. She passes a couple of people who
appear to be adults. They look worried and murmur something about a
"mimic" and "disaster." Clemensia narrows her eyes. She begins to
pick up the pace, now curious about what has happened. One false
step and her leg gives way under her. Silently cursing, Clemensia
uses the hilt of her rapier blade to force herself back up to her
feet.

Prof Angler and Sir Fisch grimaced at Thalia's question. The one
who replied was Sparmi.
"Mimics are dangerous beasts that copy human appearance and sound.
They are smart enough to act in ways the original human(s) did not.
Using this technique, they feed on other humans. They're usually
not around, so you must not enter the forest again, at any cost."
He looked at Samton and sighed. "Samton's main element, so to
speak, is light. This is why the effects are more, well, extreme.
On both himself and on the mimic. In any the case of anyone with
another elemental, the mimic would slowly immobilize you, and
consume you bit by bit. Pray you never meet one, Ms Feyrer."
Turning to Sir Fisch, Sparmi nodded. Sir Fisch took his weapon and,
along with Prof Angler, walked into the forest, searching for lost
students and the like.
Luna heard footsteps, "Hello?" she croaked. A human came out, but
turned into a beast. It charged and Luna braced for impact, but she
saw Comet defeat the beast. "Thank You Comet." Luna said, and then
went back to unconciousness.

"If I may, is there a reason this mimic was in the forest at this
time then? I'd bet almost anything that that wasn't the only one,
and if these creatures are as you say they are, then they aren't
normally found in these forests." Clemensia comments, her voice
sharp and critical. But her eyes betray her worry and fear. "Which
would mean that they either moved here on there own accord
recently, or were moved here." she adds.

Cherali, shortly after rereading the letter for the fifty times,
heard the chime of a bell. It had been to call all the students
back. She returned to the ground and ran back through the forest,
following the path of which she was dragged.
The mage returned to the grassy meadow and ran toward the table of
which the drinks were served. She sat down on a wooden chair and
started to read the pages of the possessed spellbook. Her foot
tapped crazily as she read, looking for signs of life in the
parchment, the Common words, and spells it contained. Cherali was
shivering, scared of what the book portrayed itself to be. She
could be dreaming, lying limp on a wet cave floor with wild wolves
surrounding her or perhaps sleeping in the comforts of her savior's
home. Cherali doesn't like the thought of her dreaming anymore, she
could be anywhere when she was dreaming...

Mimics? Kynik looked towards the teachers who seemed to be talking
to a female mage student. Well that was at least one thing
confirmed. It wasn't that the challenge time had run over, it was
that something dangerous had happened and students were being
removed from it.
He picks himself up from the ground and turned towards the predator
turned prey lifting it to his chest held butt to front much like an
overly large dog being carried. He makes his way over towards the
Principal, watching the Mage & Knight teachers go back into the
forest. The man grunts in slight pain, shifting the weight in his
arms.
"Principal, Sir, I understand the examination is over." Kynik
starts, trying to get the principal's attention before shifting the
heavy body again. "But what do we do with the beasts we've killed?"
He locks his fingers together to prevent them from slipping. "I
think this one had a dark affinity, it was using some form of magic
to turn into a shadow of sorts and slip around for a sneakier
advantage so it was hard to keep an eye on."
He uses a knee to push the beast back up into a easier to hold
position trying to be careful not to fall over as the large cat
weighed about the same as himself. "Also, may I be excused? It
hooked me with its claws and I'm sure an exposed slash wound isn't
exactly a good idea."
It wasn't entirely what he wanted. Despite his calm demeanor
the wound itself was also still bleeding, the occasional sound of
splats being heard on the grass whenever it dripped. The flow
wasn't nearly as heavy as before but it still hurt quite a bit. He
wasn't going to admit to this though. The student still showed
other signs of the previous battle, splatters of blood on his lower
face, a pool from where it had dripped mostly covered up by the
beast on his chest and his hands were most certainly still red. He
awkwardly stood, wishing for a sponge and hoping for dismissal.
"I can stay to help if wanted but I just need to know where to put
this or how to get it confirmed so I don't have to retake the
examination unnecessarily."
Mimics. She thought. So that’s what they were! Maybe this school is
more useful than I thought. After spending so long researching them
with little success, it’s good to know what they are! Thalia
thought to herself “Thank you, Principal Sparmi, I’ll be careful”
she replied, with a charming smile. In reality she was
just...extremely glad. She had found out what she desired to know!
The power of Mimics was indeed interesting. She walked up to near
Clemensia, saying “Mimics are somewhat like humans, power-hungry,
and quite literally so. They’re not usually supposed to be in the
forest, that I agree. It is most likely that someone placed it
there to harm students.”
Elliot heard footsteps and opened his eyes to find everyone back at
the shrine. "So is it lunchtime or not???" He asked no one in
particular. He had missed everything about the mimic, and didn't
care either way. All he wanted right now was food, for he had
missed breakfast.
Juzi listened from the treetop, not making a sound. 'I've read
about them before..' She thought, leaning back against the branch,
awaiting further instruction.

Deep in the forest, Prof Angler saw a girl with icy blue hair on
the ground. He raised his hand, causing the sun to shine extremely
brightly upon her. He then turned to Sir Fisch. "That's Luna,
indeed. Take her, please."
Sir Fisch took Luna up, and noticing she was unconscious, rushed
out the forest.
Sparmi grimaced slightly. "You might be right. In fact, one
cannot help but hope that you are..." He did not let his
thoughts leak out. Instead, he quickly replaced the grimace with a
smile. "Well, it is good that it was defeated without any loss of
life. For now, the forest will be forbidden."
Luna woke up to bright sun, and other students looking at her. She
noticed that Samton was nearest to her. "Samton." She said, trying
to get his attention.
I have no friends due to the massive hole in my heart. Would you
consider being the one to plug up the hole of feeling?
"Luna, Yes?" Samton said as he sat up. He had almost fully
recovered. "They found you in the forest, unconscious. Are you
alright?"
Principal Sparmi did not enjoy the direction of the conversation in
the slightest. He announced; "It is time for breakfast. Do not let
today's occurrences bother you too much. Eat well."
He clapped twice, and all kinds of 'breakfast food' from around the
world appeared.
Thalia walked over to the breakfast table, picking up a flaky
buttery pastry along with her usual— a singular sausage sliced into
a flower, a avocado, mashed potatoes and vegetables. She wasn’t too
hungry for meat. Not in the morning. But she still had to eat at
least a bit. Thalia picked up the chocolates milk, drinking it.
When she had finished; she brought some food over to the resting
Samton. “Eat, you must be hungry” She turned next to Luna, placing
another plate. “You should eat too, you fainted” Her tone was
bland, but not harsh.
Luna looked up and saw Thalia. "Okay." she muttered. "Thanks." She
summoned some water and drank it. She looked at the forest one more
time. 'Hmm, I remember that weird relic, I know its a relic, but
how?' she thought.

consider being the one to plug up the hole of feeling?
The student stood in dismay, still carrying the very large once
magical black feline in his arms; His questions had been
ignored.
Kynik bites his lip in a grimace watching the principal walk away
to follow the female student who had decidedly made her way over to
the table and another student. A conversation of mimics had
followed, much to his superiors dislike and breakfast was now
called.
He waits a few minutes, the cheerful yet pained grin dropping into
a frown of distaste. How in the world did he not hear or notice
me? He furrows his brows, attention still solely focused on the
educator. He continued to keep his thoughts to himself, the brows
unfurrowing. He couldn't stay mad, he was too tired for that. As
much as I wouldn't mind more practice with fighting beasts... I
just wish there would have been some form of acknowledgement. I
still killed one of the magic ones and brought it back before they
ended it early.
Kynik sighs and moves over to the side, dropping the dead panther
directly on the shrine. Someone would find it. The black pelt
wasn't exactly good at hiding when out in the open like this. He
wasn't exactly given permission to leave either so a nurse's visit
would have to wait... and so would his ripped and stained
clothes.
Fatigue was also starting to catch up to the 18 year old. Between
the fight, the fluid loss and the long drag back, he was worn out
and would likely continue to do so as the dripping continued. He
sits down stubbornly at one of the tables to the side, complying
with the student body being told to have their fill of breakfast.
He fills a plate, picking at it slowly.
Xavier sat down on one of the seats near the big table filled with
different breakfasts. Xavier cleaned himself up as he listened to
the different conversations. Xavier doesn't usually eat breakfast
and if he did it would usually be a single fruit or some bread.
'I wonder what I should do about my bleeding ear.. I don't have
the medical supplies to properly take care of it..' As he
thought Xavier took out a small roll of bandages he would always
carry and started to wrap his cuts and wounds 'I should take
care of my ear the moment I get the chance.. it's best to not keep
it like this for a long time'
"Ohmygodthere'sfood!" Elliot exclaimed as he ran to the table and
filled his plate with sausages, toast, and some eggs. He grabbed a
glass of orange juice and sat down beside a random person, munching
on his sausages and toast.
Juzi walked up to the table, placed two waffles in her plate, added
some sausages for Ezria, and picked up a glass of milk. She sat on
a tree branch and ate her food, Ezria enjoying the sausages.

Samton took the plate from Thalia. "Thank you!" He said with a
smile. After silently thanking the spirits for his food, he began
to dig in.
At the time, Tien had returned with two plates in his hand. Seeing
Samton with another plate already, he took the one which he brought
for Samton and placed in near him. "Eat a lot and grow healthy,
ok?"
"Isn't that just because you don't want to take this back out?"
Samton said with a smirk.
