Kieran's fur stopped bristling, but he was still on edge. The snake
could still return... He was caught off guard by the two humans
who'd barged into his corner, and he awkwardly got up and started
padding towards the door, as if to say Aight, guess I'll be
going, now. Hopefully the situation was fine.
Winnie let out a breath she didn't know she had been holding. Then,
she looked to her side for the little creature, only to find it was
gone. She turned her head just as it was nearing the door.
"Hey Charlie," She whispered. "I think that's the...the creature
that flew through the window."
Kieran quickened his pace, pushing open the door, and dashing away.
It was getting late anyway, and he needed to get home. He looked at
the sky, which was adorned in beautiful streaks of orange and red.
One good thing about Princeville were the sunsets; they were always
gorgeous. He spotted the moon out of the corner of his eye. It was
nearly full... in a day or two, he'd need to spend all night as a
raccoon dog. It wasn't too much of a pain, but still a little bit
of a painful reminder of the human life he might be missing out on
if he was a human and knew his family. He could be going to school,
making friends, learning, feeling better about social
interaction.... eh, he could work with what the world gave him. He
slipped into his house, shifting back into his human form, and
flopped onto his bed.
"Oooh...kayyy" Winnie replied. She slowly stood up, and walked back
towards the kitchen. She silently hoped something would take her
mind off of whatever had just happened, but deep down, Winnie knew
that was just wishful thinking.
"I could have yes, I... Im just not trying to freak people out!
Like Im just trying to make friends..." The aura intensifies,
surrounding the area around her.

It's like the saying I've often been told
"No matter the cost, do things right"
"Now that I think about it, it does make sense." Winnie shrugged,
still not facing Charlie. "Nobody reveals secrets to a stranger.
Well, unless you're at a confessional...or a police interrogation,
so I guess some people do." She stuck a piece of lasagna in the
microwave, turning on the timer. "But I can understand why you
wouldn't."
Today was more chaotic than most. Finally ready to sleep, Kieran
tucked himself in. It took a while to sleep - half an hour, as per
usual, but eventually, he drifted off.
"Well, thats ridiculous." Winnie said. The microwave went off with
a loud 'DING' and Winnie took the plate out of it. She grabbed a
fork, and held it and the plate out to Charlie. Her eyes darted
towards the dark aura, but her expression remained neutral.
"Maybe if those idiots had stuck around for a little bit, they
would've seen the nice person I see in front of me right now. Now
quit your worrying and eat up, this food ain't gonna be hot
forever, you know."
Admin stuffed his hands inside his pockets. He had heard there was
a new kid in town. How nice. He sighed and went towards his home.
He started noticing the monsters a few years ago. He didnt mind
them. It just made uniform old princeville interesting.
As he walked past the old "for sale" house, that had been like that
for years, he realized this must be the new kids place. He
shrugged. "Why the hell not?" he thought. "I'll give them a welcome
to boring, slightly abnormal princeville. He walked up to the door
and rang the doorbell
