Emerald then helped Rushelle with making the balloon produce some
of the rudest and funniest sounds he could, all while giving the
balloon a good wobble underneath her
“But now we can bounce together~.” He held her paws and began doing
light bounces, the balloon pulsating and squeaking with each
bounce. His body never actually left thr balloon though
“It’s so much nicer with someone else...usually on Dad or Remus are
around to bounce with me...” he murmured as he did a slightly
harder bounce to push Rushelle up a little
Rushelle laughed. "Welp, now you got me!" She was glad that she had
someone who was ready to listen when she needed to talk. Someone
that she could depend on.
Rushelle raised an eyebrow. "You're talking to the person who spent
her entire life living with only her father. So, no,-" She looked
down. "Not in the past."
“You do?” Emerald looked a little disappointed. He paused...he
decided to go ahead with what he wanted to say. Even if he knew
that person wasn’t him
“Hey Rushe...I met you at that school...and you’ve made me smile
every day since then... So much that...well...I have feelings for
you.” He looked down, blushing. “...Your cute laughs and
giggles...your antics...”
Rushelle looked at her feet. "Y-yeah. It's you. I thought that I
would never get out of that dojo, and I thought that making friends
would be even harder. I thought that maybe my dad was right about
me. But you proved him wrong, Emerald. You showed me that I can
have a better life. Ever since I met you, you've been nothing but
kind and loyal. You've shown me true friendship and what it means
to really be happy."
Emerald leapt onto Rushelle, hugging her deeply. This caused them
both to fall on the balloon and...the balloon emitted quite the
raspberry, perhaps ruining the moment. Emerald began giggling at
the noise he had accidentally created though
