Alex scoffed in his mind. He wanted to keep on explaining and
persuading to show why he was right, but he didn't really want to
be on bad terms with this cat. Besides, she was young and naive,
and probably hadn't seen the bad parts of the world yet. She'd
find out soon enough, he thought. The quest would probably show
this cat that there aren't always reasons why cats are mean.
"Hatred put in the right places can fuel determination, change and
revolution." Alex pointed out, with a nod to his goal. "Lets just
go now, I think the dungeon is that way," He flicked his tail
towards the dungeon.
As they trotted through the forest to get to the dungeon, Lyra
heard the birds chirping, it was a beautiful day. Lyra was a cat
who saw beauty in everything, and she believed everyone had there
own opinions, no one had to agree with her and she didn't have to
agree with anyone. Her bow was on her back and she couldn't wait to
get into battle, soon she would level up, this was gonna be the
best day of her life!
Miko was leading the way out while the other two argued. She was
slipping through the shadows, on her way to the dungeon. She hadn't
quested in a while, and was super excited to increase her skills.
She didn't have her trait unlocked yet, the ability to find blue
embers. She needed to find a orange rare ember to evolve and get
her wings, so she was excited at the prospect of that chance.
Alex had never been in a dungeon, but he had looked tons of books
and pictures. He knew a little of what to expect... but he hoped
that Miko knew more than him. He hoped he could find embers, or
whatever was used to evolve. He hoped that he could maybe get more
elements, they were super useful for battle strategies, even in
small amounts.
"Hopity, hopity, hop, tropity, tropity, trop" Lyra was singing
while hopping through the forest, it was so beautiful she couldn't
help herself. "How much farther" Asked Lyra. Her legs were already
starting to get tired. "I'm getting tired..." Lyra wasn't trying to
complain but she was very hungry and her body hurt so bad.
Miko flattened her ears to the sounds of song. This was why Nessie
was one of her least favorite cats. Music disgusted her, and it was
an added unfortunate bonus that Nessie could hypnotise you with her
voice. She wasn't tired at all, she was expertly using and
preserving her energy, taking the shortest routes. "We'll rest
outside the dungeon, okay?" She snapped, she was now at the point
where she'd get impatient with annoying cats.
Alex nodded. Oh gosh. Alex wasn't one for singing. Public speaking
was fine but... not this. Lyra was turning out to be more annoying
than he thought. He noticed Miko not likeing it either, and gave
her a look, showing he felt the same way. He was still full of
energy, and was eager to fight something (he loved a good
debate).... if he didnt find something soon enough, it would be
Lyra.
"...,...,........,OK, thanks!" Lyra continued on with her song, she
was as cheerful as ever, her first time going on a quest was gonna
be her best. Lyra lived in the forest with her mother and 2
siblings, she never new their names because they got lost when she
was just a kit. Before her mother died she was told to always stay
positive. It made her sad to think of her mother but she never let
go of hope.
Alex took the time to reflect about his time on the street. He had
learned a lot of social skills and street smarts, but could never
NOT fight with someone who disagreed, whether that be through
violence, persuasion, tricks or other means. He resisted the urge
to hit Lyra, but it wouldn't last long. He distracted himself be
keeping on reflecting. He never knew any family, and survived on
his own, bartering and stealing, but only from the rich and mean,
who didn't deserve what they had. He believed in justice to them,
and always dreamed of getting out of the streets and becoming
renowned.
Not having any weapons was annoying for Miko, as she wanted to put
a knife at Lyra's neck for being so loud. She wouldn't actually
hurt her, but most cats got the message after that. When they
reached the dungeon, Miko put a tail over both the other cats'
mouths. "Ssshh. We'll rest here, but not long. And keep your mouths
SHUT!" She snapped and waited outside the dungeon.
Alex stayed quiet, but glared at both cats. At least miko had a
reason to be mad... Alex wondered what would be in the dungeon. He
began playing with a small fireball, out of sight of the other
cats. He briefly considered flinging it at Lyra, but it would give
away his abilities and also not be a very just thing to do.
Lyra streched herself out and asked. "Is everyone ready?" She was
very eager to go and battle the dragons. "Is everyone healed up,
and ready to go?" Even though some might think she was annoying she
was also very caring, she wanted to make sure everyone was ready to
go in by making sure they were all healed up.
"Yes, walking was so denting.." Miko replied sarcastically, and
narrowed her now cold blue eyes as she entered the dungeon. She was
quick to stick to the walls as she sought out the enemies, she
would be happy to surprise attack them, and find resources along
the way. Spying at bit of gold, she picked it up, and knew she
would have to keep a lookout for other cool items along the way.
With any luck, this would take about 15 minutes
Alex nods, and enters the dungeon, keeping an eye out for enemies.
His fur bristles withe excitement. He picks up a piece of gold on
the floor. This could be useful for later. He watches Miko, who is
probably more experienced than him.
Lyra looked at Miko and asked. "So what are we wanting to find
exactly" She actually didn't know what exactly they were looking
for. "Are we looking for embers, coins gems? What exactly?" She was
very excited but she didn't what to be to loud just incase.
Miko doesn't glance back, she is completely out of sight, looking
for dragons. "Anything you can find, we'll take." As she says this,
she finds a few pieces of cloth and packs them up. "We need to find
the dragons and asses the number, as if they are in this dungeon,
that means they could be anywhere."
Alex impatiently rushes ahead, scouring the cave for more objects
and items. His tattoos shift in the dim light. He keeps an eye out
for enemies and embers. "Well, lets go find them then, " Alex says,
still in a bit of a hushed voice.
Suddenly, Miko picks up a clue. It looked like a dragon scorch
mark. She left the shadows so the others could see her more
clearly. "Over here! Looks like I found something." The dragon had
clearly aimed a fire blast at one of the walls, blackening and
melting the stone.
Alex bounds over, inspecting the mark. "Why would a dragon aim a
fire blast at the wall? That seems pointless. Maybe it was an
accident, or... it was aimed at another creature and missed?"
Lyra then found 10 coins not to much of a bounty, but enough to
make her pick it up. She bounded over to where the others were and
inspected it. As she thought about finding the dragons, she
remembered what Alex thought of dragons, and she started to agree
with him. Lyra shot him short glance before turning away and
continuing to look for the dragons.
