The suggestion is to have a filter in the notifications for hashtags along with the other filters so that they wouldn't show up in the main feed list along with the others.
Just thought of this, cause there are people out there who don't want to see hashtags in their notification page for some or other reason .

Note: I feel like Checkboxes for each of the filters would be a good addition, but that's probably a whole new suggestion.

Support. There's a lot of hashtag raffles that I'd want to join in on, but I don't want to spam my friends' inboxes... ;_;

Support. Normally it's not a problem, but some of my friends have been posting notifications with ONLY hashtags (like 5 or 6 of them and only them) and it gets flat out annoying to see these messages, while the other messages they post are ones I still want to see.

Oh, that is one of my reasons too. I just get frustrated to see so many hashtags that I miss out some main feeds my friends made >.<

And on a side note: Never expected to receive so many supports. Thanks everybody ^^

How will you decide what to filter out? There are also many feeds including hash tags that are relevant (to me anyway). Even if there was a setting, I wouldn't use it for fear of missing something I'd want to read.

That I don't care about, to be frank :P
I just don't want to be spammed with hashtags.
I'll just think I was absent at the time the important hashtag feed was created xD
It'll just filter out all the feeds which contain hashtags ^^

You have my full support! This would be really quite useful for people who get annoyed by hashtags.
When I receive a new notification, I go like,"YAY! I'M IMPORTANT!" Just to see that it's another hashtag, which makes me feel slightly annoyed. So definitely, this is a must-support suggestion! ^-^
And I don't see ANY reasons why it shouldn't be implemented.

I support too. I'll admit they're a good way of filtering contests etc. But there's no need for a notification to appear, they're not an update, just advertisement.

I support too, for some reason there's been like a spike in hashtags and stuff and it's starting to get slightly annoying. ^^'

Bump.
The hashtags usage might have decreased, but nevertheless, I'm open to more suggestions. ^^
