How long is the rumble quest for the Volcano Cave supposed to last? I haven't been able to find an answer. My Charizard has been on thisquest for 24 full hours now.

11 hours later and my Charizard is still out on the rumble quest!
Edit: It is now another 5 hours and still nothing has happened.
Can someone please help
Edit: Well after about 48 hours I finally got to the boss and won the battle.
Would have been nice to have some sort of feedback on here, though. Oh well.
