Char perked up instantly. Her tail wagged and she bounced a little, barking excitedly. Mira rolled her eyes, amused. "Apparently!" She chuckled.

Rockruff began to hop up and down. She barked even more, each bark more excited than the last. Her tail began to wag fast. A small smile appeared on Gem's face, but she still said nothing.

Rainer frowned in disapproval. At what should have been the lab's location was...nothing. He looked back at the map rereading it numerous times. Finally it clicked. He made a turn to early. So now he had to go all the back.

"I'm Gem, and that's Rockruff, if you didn't already know. I used to live here, actually. I moved to Ula'Ula a few years ago." Gem said. Rockruff began to hop higher in excitement.

Growlithe crouched down in that dog 'do you want to play' pose, and gave an excited yipe to both Pokemon. "I'm Mira, and that's Char, my Growlithe. I just came here from Kanto. And am trying to figure out how you people navigate through all of these islands," She chuckled.

Gem gave Mira a smile. "We got used to them, I guess." She replied. Rockruff copied Growlithe's pose, and gave an excited yip back. Her tail began to wag like crazy.

Char barked, tail wagging just as vigorously. She began to run around the dock. Mira sighed in relief. "Well, it can't be that hard, right? To get used to them?" She pointed out cheerfully.

Gem shrugged. "It depends on the person, I guess. It wasn't too hard for me because I was born on this very island." She said. Rockruff barked excitedly and chased the Growlithe. Her tail was wagging as happy as could be.

Mira grinned. "Well, whatever the case, I'm sure I'll end up liking it here," She nodded, watching the two Pokemon chase each other.

Gem nodded. "I'm sure you will." She said. She looked over at the two Pokemon chasing each other, and gave another small smile. Rockruff's nose accidentally touched the Growlithe's tail. Rockruff let out a small sneeze before returning to chasing the Growlithe.

Growlithe barked, and wagged her tail almost mockingly (but more playfully). "Alright, guys, we should get going!" Mira called.

Rockruff barked back and clamped his front paws onto Growlithe's tail, in a way that it wouldn't hurt. She dug her back paws into the ground, trying to slow the Growlithe down. Gem nodded. "I'll walk with you guys, if it isn't too much trouble. You seem like nice people." She said.

"Sounds good," Mira nodded. Char skidded to a halt and slowed down, nodding a thanks to Rockruff, and went back over to Mira, Gem, and Jalisa.

(Oh my god why am I so bad at remembering that Growlithe has a nickname xD)

Venus looked down at her holo-caster to see that she got a message.She quickly reads it before getting up."Come on Aetern.We need to get to Kukui."She muses to her starter who bounces beside her."Char!Charmander-Char-Char!"Venus smiled a bit before starting off in a slow walk to the Professor's lab.

Gem smiled. Rockruff bounded back to Gem, right after the Growlithe. She sat on the ground in front of Gem's shoes, waiting for what was going to happen.
