Tiger nodded, and smiled slightly. "Alright then" he said kindly. He remembered older companions he traveled with, and remembered something that happened in Ecruteak, which caused him to loose most his 'friends' "Thanks" he sighed quietly.

"It's no problem. Besides, I honestly think he'll be better soon," Mira went on. "I still have something to do, anyway; Lucas is still here, and I think I'd better tell him it's safe to go into Lavender Town now."

Tiger nodded "Alright" he said kindly. "I've got to pick some more berries...I saw some near nugget bridge so if you need me I'll be there" he said cheerfully. "And don't worry I've had enough of falling from cliffs, and being kidnapped...for now anyway" he laughed. Cyndaquil just hit Tiger on the head slightly annoyed, and Tiger sighed "no seriously. I'd rather not get into trouble today" he sighed. Even if it likes to find me

Tiger nodded, and returned Saffron, and Jolt."See you later then" Tiger said before walking to the bridge. Cyndaquil, and Tiger then walked outside and went to where Tiger saw the berry bushes.

Mira went outside, closely followed by her pokemon. "Where do you guys think he is?" She asked. Ivysaur shrugged. "Well, then we'll do some searching."

Tiger walked toward the river in silence. Cyndaquil looked at him cheerfully, and jumped off Tiger's shoulder, taking his cap in the process. "Cyndaquil" Tiger said in shock, and laughed. "What are you doing?" he said. Cyndaquil didn't answer he just ran toward the river swiftly. Tiger sighed, rolled his eyes, and laughed as he ran after his pokemon.

Mira searched around Cerulean and eventually found Lucas a little outside, by the tall grass. "Lucas!" She called, running up to him. He looked up and smiled.

"Hey Mira! You're back in Cerulean? Ooh ooh! Did you beat Misty?"

Oh boy. "Yeah, I did. I just wanted to let you know it's safe to go into Lavender Town now," She replied with a smile that was only half-forced.

Tiger stopped at the shore with Cyndaquil jumping back into his arms. He looked up when he heard someone behind him. "Someone there" he called out, and sighed when he saw Lion.

"Hey Tiger. Sorry to disturb you" Lion said simply. Tiger blinked, and looked at Cyndaquil.

"Since when do you say sorry" Tiger asked cautiously, and remembered all the times Lion ambushed him.

"I did now" Lion said bluntly. Tiger shook his head slightly, and a bit more calm Tiger then sighed, and nodded.

"something I can help you with?" Tiger asked gently.

"Oh, awesome! I am so ready to take on Surge!" Lucas pumped his fist in the air. "Do you want to come with me? You did beat Misty, after all," He offered, smiling fondly at Mira.

"Er. Sorry Lucas, but I can't. Tiger and I found an injured pokemon and we want to stay to see it get better," She explained. Lucas' expression softened and he sighed.

"Aw. Alright. I'll run into you later on!" He nodded. "See you later!" He waved and ran off.

Lion smiled, and laughed slightly "since when do you offer to help me?" he said as a joke. Tiger shrugged.

"Just wondering what you'd like" he said simply. Cyndaquil nodded, and looked around.

"Well I came by to see if you're up for a battle. You see after Lavender town I noticed you, and Mira went back to Cerulean. I was concerned if you were hurt in that final battle or not" he said simply which caught Tiger off guard.

"You actually care" he said in disbelief, and Lion sighed.

"Yes..." he trailed off awkwardly. Truth was Lion treated Tiger rudely because he wanted to make sure his friend was always worried about him. When he saw how much Tiger cared for his pokemon, and is friend in Lavender he grew new respect. He shook his head "so would you like to battle?" he asked.

Tiger shrugged, and glanced at Cyndaquil, who nodded "Sure let's battle" he said with a smile.

Mira sighed as he went off. "He's nice," She chuckled. "But boy does he get sidetracked easily."

"Ivysaur! Ivysaur ivy, ivy." (I like him! He is your cousin, y'know.)

"Pfft," Mira rolled her eyes. "I dunno. If I run into him again I might let him stick around. But... Yeah, probably not."

She yawned and started to head back to the Pokemon Center.

Tiger nodded to Cyndaquil, the Pokemon jumped to the ground. Lighting his back flames, Cyndaquil looked at Lion. "Alright then...Blastoise lets go" Lion called out his starter. The Pokemon came out, and looked at Cyndaquil. He gave a small, but respectful, nod.

"Make the first move" Tiger said simply, and looked at Cyndaquil.

Lion nodded, and shrugged "Blastoise start it off with hydro pump" the boy ordered. Blastoise used a hydro pump. Cyndaquil then used a flamethrower and jumped off the ground missing the move. More so from habit than from actual commands. "Don't let it miss" Lion said quickly. Blastoise then tried to hit Cyndaquil with hydro pump.

"Cyndaquil use an aerial ace" Tiger said coolly. Cyndaquil nodded, and used an aerial ace falling straight onto Blastoise.

Mira ended up back at the Pokemon Center and got a room, dropping off all of her stuff. "Where to now?" She asked her pokemon. Pikachu jumped up onto her shoulder and pointed out the window to a little house past Nugget Bridge. "Bill's House?" She asked. "I mean... Sure. Why not?"

Blastoise was hit head on by the aerial ace. He growled as Cyndaquil hung onto his head. "Blastoise shake him off" Lion said quickly. Blastoise then tried to knock Cyndaquil off.

"Cyndaquil hang on" Tiger called, and tried to think as Cyndaquil was being shaken around. Like a Tauros rider. Tiger then got an idea. "Let go" he said

Cyndaquil nodded, and let go. Blastoise threw Cyndaquio into the air. "Hydro pump" lion said quickly.

"Now" Tiger called shortly before hydro pump could land, Cyndaquil fell to the ground with a dig.

Mira left the Pokemon Center and went down to Nugget Bridge where she saw the battle. Hm. I thought something like this would happen... She thought, amused, and watched from afar.

Blastoise looked around quickly as he tried to guess where the Pokemon was going to jump out. "Blastoise hydro pump the hole" Lion ordered. Blastoise used a hydro pump, it travelled through the tunnels, and hit cyndaquil. The fire Pokemon flew out of the tunnels by a flood of water.

"Cyndaquil are you alright?" Tiger called. Cyndaquil then grunted, he lost a good chunk of health, but was fine. "Use a swift, and back it up with flamethrower" Tiger ordered. His Pokemon used the moves, and the result was flaming stars shooting at Blastoise. They exploded and caused embers to fall on the water Pokemon.

Mira winced and kept watching. Ivysaur flinched, knowing a hit like that would hurt. A lot.

Blast pose growled, he was hit in the eyes by the embers. The Pokemon looked like he wanted to continue. "Cyndaquil enough" Tiger called. He wanted to stop the battle since Blastoise was struggling to see now.

"Blastoise can fight" Lion began sharply.

"No he can't see...I think that's enough don't you?" Tiger asked kindly. Lion just sighed, and returned Blastoise.

"Alright you win then" Lion said in defeat, and placed Blastoise's pokeball on his belt.

Mira applauded. "Nice battle, you two," She called, smiling. Growlithe howled again.
