Cari yawned and fell asleep in a chair with her head on the table. A little bit of blood was still spattered on her arm from where Vix had sliced her.

Cari continued to sleep, though her eyebrows were furrowed.
She was going on a walk with two people she didn't recognize. They seemed familiar, she just couldn't place who.
Suddenly, the ground shakes. The three of them fall to the ground, and the ground shakes again. Suddenly, building are collapsing. The two people beside her struggle to get up, and that's when the building crashes down on them, and-
She starts to scream.

"Cari? Are you ok?" Asks Vix, looking up from a thick book bound in black leather with a title in a strange, ancient-looking language.

Cari settles back into her chair and drops her head into her hands. I wonder what the others are doing. Probably canabalizing each other. I don't even remember their names. Oh well. I wonder who's fighting tomorrow. I hope it's not me. Vix is super strong. I bet Krys is too. I wonder how long we'll have the bracelets on? I bet they'll never trust us. I wish I had telepathy or mind reading powers. I guess mine aren't useful in everyday life. She continued her one sided conversation with herself.

"What." Krys asks, not taking her eyes off the tail of ice she was slowly growing with her fingers.

"Redox... ancient mythical being, right?" Jaxin asks.

"Hrrrr!" Vix replies.

"I'll take that as a yes." Krys says.

With a "bang", the door was flung open and Lucas rushed into the room, gasping dramatically. "I heard there were other people here, so I ran here!" He flops into a chair, glancing at Cari. "Hi. I'm Lucas." He added.

She glared at him, before finally responding. "I'm Cari."

"So. You have any idea what they're talking about?" Lucas asked her.

Cari shook her head. "No. I've been thinking."

"Is all you do think?"

"Is all you want a kick in the face?" Cari relaxed slightly.
