As Finn began following along, he was startled by the squeak of
what was probably an Azurill, he tripped and was caught by his
Shuppet(An), which as usual was hiding in his shadow. As he
balanced himself, Finn noticed the boy that was under the tree, now
in front of the group and speaking.
It didn't really surprise Quinn that others ignored him. He was
sure that they were probably very excited about this whole thing.
It was hard for him to get which trainers were from what region
while looking at others. After just few seconds he gave up and
decided to ask them after they get to camp.
And when they finally moved towards camp, he was staying behind
being his lazy self. He thought that running next to group would
make him seem desperate and it just wasn't normal for him to try to
follow everyone. When he thought about it, he will need to follow
rest of grup so he wouldn't get lost in this new region. He huffed
unsatisfied with fact that he won't be able to just keep his own
slow tempo when exploring.
Being at back of group he noticed boy that almost fell down. He
realised that he should go and at least ask boy if he is alright.
His face had his signature smile on when he went over to boy in
gost typed sweater. ''Are you okay?'' His voice was full of self
esteem that was his own try of hiding fact that he didn't talk to
other humans a lot.
I was daydreaming an not really paying attention to anybody until
some Pokemon, which landed on my head and started hooting let me
snap out and i stood still. I kinda panicked first, but quickly
calmed down, before I smiled and started petting the Pokemon on my
head.
I smiled kindly at her. "It's Ok. This Rowlet is really cute. Dont
worry about it." I smiled slighty, before I said: "It reminds me of
my Snivy." I looked at her and cocked my head slightly. "What are
you gonna do first in Alola?"
"Hmm, you have a Snivy? A friend of mine quite favors those, breeds
'em, all sorts of colors and mutations on those... And, ah, I'm not
too sure what I'm going to do first. I'm guessing there'll be some
photography practice before camp starts.." she replied.
"If you say it like this, it sounds kinda creepy. Mutations?" I
have already seen shiny Snivys, but i wasn't sure what she was
meaning with mutations. "I guess I'm gonna explore a bit. It's
really exciting, considering I never left Unova before. I'm a bit
excited, because my Silcoon is gonna evolve really soon." I
admitted, slightly blushing.
"I m-mean, she's caused lots of variations to pop up--nothing too
odd, like, no extra limbs or anything... All normal and healthy
hatchlings, yep..." she said, her voice akin to an awkwardly quick
whine.
After waiting some time for other boy to answer him, Quinn jumped
to conclusion that boy probably doesn't want to talk to him. That
didn't mean that he will stop talking to others. They needed to
keep close and he really didn't want to spend too much time sitting
alone or talking only to his pokemons.
He walked away to his place on end of the group and looked at
others. Only two people were talking what means that there is still
possibility for him to make friends, or rivals, for that matter.
As Finn finally recovered from the jolt of almost falling, he
noticed that someone had spoken while he was still surprised, and
thus Finn wasn't able to react, Finn turned and soon found the boy
at the end of the group, and waved to him.
Quinn turned once again to boy that almost fell hoping other boy
was alright and he was happy when he noticed that boy waved to him.
His smile reappeared on his lips and he waved back. He looked in
front of him so he wouldn't fall. His mind was full of thoughts, it
was long time since he talked to anyone other than his pokemon and
boy seemed like nice person.
He slowed down and waved to boy to come next to him. His mind was
already coming up with things to say to boy, when he remembered
that boy had shirt with ghost types. Honestly, he didn't know a lot
about ghost type and boy probably knew everything so he could ask
him about them. But first he will ask ghost boy from which region
is he.
As seeing the gesture, Finn concluded that it was an inviting wave,
and thus he walked towards the other boy, while trying to avoid the
other students as best as he could, since he was walking the
direct opposite direction them. The last thing Finn'd want was to
bump into someone.
