And we got called them all
So we grew up believing no one
Would ever fall in love with us
That we'd be lonely forever
That we'd never meet someone
To make us feel like the sun
Was something they built for us
In their tool shed
So broken heart strings bled the blues
As we tried to empty ourselves
So we would feel nothing
One of Riley's devices beeped and he looked at it. Could this be
his chance? In three minutes the barrier between life and death
would weaken. If his calculations were correct he'd need to move at
sixty miles per hour, to get through, or he'd be stuck here for
twenty more years.
Riley pulled out one of his boxes and stuffed it in a bike like
thing causing it to roar with life. The plan was simple, travel
half a mile in three minutes, and make it up to sixty miles per
hour.
He sped off, "Anna. Wait for me a little longer."
((Pretty much in one town they can't leave. Called "Williamsburg
Virginia."))
Maddie sighed, continuing to float along. Tears slipped from her
eyes. Evelyn hopped from the tree, and yawned.
Riley swerved the final corner, ten seconds left to cross six
hundred feet. Impossible. He traveled ten feet per second. He would
make one hundred feet before failing. He slowed down. He watched as
the area strengthened before collapsing to the ground.
Aiden sighed, "Why can I do this?" He asked himself, using
telekinesis to twirl a nearby twig. "I mean, I don't think I'm a
GHOST or something weird like that. Ghosts are only children's
stories..." Aiden muttered a few uncomprehensible words to himself,
ending with one sentence: "It can't be true."
