I think there should be an option to release eggs for multiple reasons, such as accidentally clicking on an egg in the lab you didn't want or getting an egg that you didn't want from the daycare. The timer for when an egg could be release could be something like an hour, maybe more if needed. It also gives shiny hunters a way to get rid of an egg they accidentally clicked on, rather than being forced to break their chain.

EDIT: Maybe 6 hours instead.
EDIT #2: Trainer Points get deducted (same amount as what it took to adopt the egg) when egg is released.
Both EDITs above were idea provided by Tina1016
EDIT #3: 3 eggs a day, only, with or without the 6 hour timer for each egg.
Kurumi's idea
EDIT#4: When released, an egg will be sent to the Tall Grass, making the Egg Radars, especially the Legendary Egg Radar, more useful.
EDIT#5: Paying a certain amount of PD to release an egg, depending on the EHP it has.

I would love to have this but I would think it would make it easier to get the pokemon you want, we dont want to make it like pokefarm. It suppose to be hard to complete your pokedex. So I am No Supporting, Sorry.

Oops, got this confused with Pokefarm. Edited. :P

Silverman55, that's what the long timer is for.

I support this idea, and the timer should be 6 hours :3

I really don't like the idea. If you pick an egg that you don't want, you can trade it away once it hatches. Or you can keep it if you have a Pokémon of the same evoline and evolve it so you can have one entry more in your dex.

While I see your point view, I can't support.

Tina1016, Hm, 6 hours does sound better.

Shima, what if the egg is one of those high EHP ones and it takes forever for the person to hatch eggs? A few hours would at least be better than a few days.

support for this, mistakes do happen, it's not always that people pick an egg they don't want

my mouse and trackpad like to fight with one another sometimes (i need them both), and wild clicks happen more than i'd like them to

a timer on the eggs would be worth the wait, considering how long it takes to hatch eggs on here sometimes, like diana said

I don't support. It is ridiculous. I mean seriously, if I threw away every egg I didn't want then what is the fun. And those of you saying if you got an egg you didn't want in the daycare then why were you breeding that one in the first place. If you don't like the pokemon then just trade it when it hatches. You might get something you like without the effort of hatching another egg.

anyone who didn't want to use the feature wouldn't have to use the feature

some people are fine if accidents happen and they have to hatch the egg, but others aren't, and having the option there isn't harmful at all to those who would choose to keep the eggs and hatch them

the only thing i suggest though if this does happen is for the difficulty tags to be removed from the egg itself so people don't snatch the egg from the lab, then ditch it just because they see it wasn't the rarity they wanted

Well there is also the fact that You get Trainer Points for adopting eggs. People could abuse this and just adopt eggs so they can release them.

i dont support this \r\n\r\nnow with more members coming onto the site, these eggs are hatching faster and faster.\r\nif you "accidentally" click on an egg you dont want, just hatch it and then release the pokemon then if it isnt what you want, or use it as fodder to trade for other pokemon you do want

@tailowb, the TPs could be deducted if you release an egg :P
@bourkey, if you could release a Pokemon you don't want, then why shouldn't you be able to release an egg you don't want?

Quote from AutumnStaranyone who didn't want to use the feature wouldn't have to use the feature

I dont support this too.
adding to what Bourkey says when you adopt an Egg from the lab you get Trainer Points so the users can abuse this they will adopt an egg, wait the 6 hours and then release it and got the trainer points.

Max here!

As I JUST stated, the TPs could get deducted and there would be a time limit anyway. It's like how you get TPs from trading, but it's limited to 3 per day.

tina1016, you're on a roll! I had no idea you get TP from adopting eggs, but they could also be deducted if you release one. I'll add that to the first post.

If you don't like this, don't use it, simple as that. If you like the idea of hatching your eggs and trying to sell your Pokemon, or you hatch your eggs really fast, props to you, but not everyone is that lucky. PF has a ton of users and it still takes me a while to hatch my eggs. Numbers don't change much if people don't click you back.

tailowb, some people breed 2 different Pokemon because they don't have 2 of one Pokemon that are different genders.

*blush* Hehe, thanks :3

And another thing to add onto the "don't like, don't use": it's pretty much the same as some other stuff. If you don't like the events, it doesn't mean they should be discontinued; just don't get it. If you don't like the new clicklist, just go back to tabbing. We don't need to remove (or not implement) useful things just because a couple of people dislike them.

support for tp being deducted, i don't care if i lose points or a few clicks on my party that i could have had for something i actually want to hatch

really, when someone adopts an egg, it's no one else's business what they do with it, whether it's hatching it for fodder, or releasing it

:D how are you going to remember the egg you want to release? only because of the rarity? I'm not sure if I like or dislike the idea... Therefore, I contain myself.

I think it would be better to add X more slots to the lab and integrate the (planned?) Eggscanner in the daycare center. I think more transparency and assortment would be better than releasing eggs.

maybe it could be possible to get a "special slot" in the party. it would only be reserved for xtrem rare/starter/legend findings from the lab or event-eggs. kind of waiting line. and well, its just *one* special egg.
