Irukandji Jellyfish are usually found near the coast, where they are attracted by the warmer water, and most stings occur in summer in shallow waters. However, this jellyfish can be found as far as five kilometers offshore and all year round. It is believed that the Irukandji's venom is particularly potent - some say it is even stronger than the Sea Wasp's one - to enable it to quickly stun the small fast fish it preys on.

The Dutch and German breeders bred and oversaw the development of the breed with the goal of obtaining animals that could best use grass, the area's most abundant resource. Over the centuries, the result was a high-producing, black-and-white dairy cow. It is black and white due to artificial selection by the breeders.
