I haven’t seen anything similiar to this on the Forums, but I’m sorry if something like this has been suggested before.

Most of us know about the accident that happened to a user on this site not long ago, and I actually am really scared about the fact that the same thing could happen to me, so I came up with a suggestion.

As the title says my idea is to add a button somewhere on the "Storage Boxes” page which would let you lock the selected box.

Here's an example:

Why would this be useful?

If you decided to lock your box(es), you wouldn’t be able to release any Pokemon from that/those box(es), so you wouldn’t have to worry about accidentally releasing your precious Pokemon ever again.

I know that you can put your Pokemon in your Battle Team and that way you can prevent them from being released, but I have more than 30 (5 team * 6 Pokemon) Pokemon that means a lot to me, and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who is in the same situation.

Feel free to share your opinion about this suggestion.

I think this would be a great idea. Even if you had to lock each pokemon individually like a 3rd option under release and move.

If you clicked on the tick box, it would lock every Pokemon in that box automatically.

As long as they let you know that your Pokémon is "locked" whenever you try to release, trade or put on your Battle Team, I can say I support this suggestion !

Yeah I know but if someone wants to lock a portion of a box it might be a good idea o: Like a shinies box where some of them are for sale while some aren't o:

Maybe just move those that the user doesn't want to lock to another box ?

I support this idea.

Not only it could prevent situation of accidentally releasing/trading/selling...etc. pokemon, it could also prevent the situation of "accidentally" evolving the pokemon(like when someone forgot to gave the pokemon everstone or somewhat). With this function, it would be much more confident for some of the shiny hunters too, since level 1 shinies seems to be preferred, it would be helpful to traders.

But the only problems would be the index page though......

since the party page is the main page, if it is locked, what is the meaning of coming online? ;)

Bumping and supporting this old idea. It's just that there have been quite a few people accidentally releasing their Pokemon when naming them.

Bumping since I read a feed about a user accidentally releasing a pokemon. RIP Shiny.

Also would like to say I particularly like this suggestion because of the whole box part. I find it would be easier to lock a box of pokemon than every individual pokemon. But would like a locking option for pokemon either way.
