I know the 47k+ players is a good number, and it's always nice to see the community grow with new members, features, and ever growing numbers. But I think there are quite a few member that maybe joined say a year ago, didn't like it and quit. I think it might be a good idea to delete and players account that hadn't been logged into in over one year.

Why? Well, the numbers for most frequent/least frequent may go up or down, making a certain Pokemon more valuable. It would also help with players who have current shiny hunts and they hatch the 152nd shiny on site, when in reality only 50 of them are in active players boxes/party.
It kinda is just bogus having a bunch of useless profiles, when we can (theoretically) make room for more players

I know it's a long shot, but what's the opinion of the community?

SEND ME ANY PLUSHIE I DONT HAVE. THANKS! (:

No support. I do believe that accounts are NOT delete able, as said here. Plus what if someone does decide to eventually come back? That wouldn't be fair to them.

I could see something like this for Perma-banned accounts maybe, given that those that were permabanned for scamming were pillaged for stolen pokemon first, but as Furret said, and on the other thread, it's not really possible or logical to do so for inactive players.

Maybe instead of deleted accounts can be marked inactive and then they wouldn't be able to get palpadded, messaged, ect. There should be a number showing how many of the accounts are inactive. Say when you go to medal rally, it says for example "Total Players:2985 (57 inactive)" so it says how many inactive.

I read something that riako said that there would be problems like what if the user gave one of their pokemon to someone...

Sorry but, no support for reasons that have already been stated~
I remember an older adoptables website that I registered on some 3 or 4 years ago and I became super inactive. :u Just recently, I wanted to login but what did I find? My account was deleted from existence on the site. It left me heart broken. :'D
And I'm planning on taking a super long break from PH after achieving quite some hard-to-do things, so if my account on here would be deleted for inactivity, I'd probably be rolling in tears. :'>
Also, I don't really see a point in a "([Number of players] inactive)" kind of thing since their account would still exist and it says on their profile as to when they were last online.

No support - What if something happens in your life and you cannot get to PH for a while? Than when you finally get a chance to get back to playing you see that you lost everything and that you need to start from scratch because your account was deleted due to inactivity.

No support, it's like stealing someone's personal diary, reading it, then destroying it just because they haven't wrote in it in a while, plus, reasons stated.

No support for deleting, but marking an account as inactive sounds reasonable. Stops people from trying to talk to a user that isn't ever going to respond, because their not there.
That way if they do return, they can reactivate their account.

EDIT: I played an online game when i was like 12 that deleted accounts after 3 months inactivity, I lost everything TWICE because I had not internet access, so I feel strongly for this topic.

I don't support this, because what if they don't get on for a while, but then they come back, only to find their account, and everything they've done completely gone.

No support!!!!

I have ADHD and am on at least 20 different pet sites that I cycle through... a lot of times I'll play obsessively for a couple of months and then forget about the site for a year... then come back and play obsessively for a couple of months and then forget about the site for a year... then come back... etc... etc...

In fact, when I first joined this site, I think I only played for a week, and then forgot about it for probably 15 months (since I'm here for the adoptables and am not really into Pokemon itself).

I'd be really upset to come back and find my account gone...

//ADHD has nothing to do with this but ok//

I don't think accounts should be removed.

Sometimes I leave for LONG periods of time. I would lose my god damn mind if my account was gone when I returned.

no support because sometimes players that don't play for more than a year might want to come back. plus what are they gonna do with the pokemon that the player owned? If the account had gotten permabanned or something then it should be deleted. but inactive players. they might come back as i stated before.

@TailsPower- Maybe someone that was unable to get to the pc or phone for one year would actually come back to the site after one year.

Rejected due to high amount of "no supports" by our community (Support: 2, No Support: 21, Don't Care: 2)

Deleting accounts is actually possible now (we've already deleted a few thousand advertisement accounts and accounts that were never used after signing up). We will, however, not delete inactive accounts as there is no no way of knowing whether a user might come back one day.
