Guardians are a rare race living hidden away in the Azure Valley, each having a power tied to an element. Their “guide” is an animal, and though it can’t fight separating one’s subconscious from their body can be useful... they are covered in runic markings from birth

You are born tied to an elemental power (will be randomly selected, since that is the way Guardian genetics work.)
Within a beautiful, secluded valley. Your mentor has trained you into a fine medic or soldier, but now the kingdom is threatened by a looming force, and you must protect yourself, and those you love.
