"'Just find a suitable host,' easier said than done." In a small nameless forest, a tiny Phantump quivered, accompanied by a Chandelure. Its voice was similar that of a small girl, and sounded like the softly-played keys of a xylophone. "You'll be fine," came the flute-like voice of the Chandelure. "Although I'm afraid that we won't be able to find you a human form. You'll have to settle for a Pokemon body this time around. Human mind and soul are too strong to succumb to this method, they are the strategists of this world. Pokemon tend to be strongest at the heart. And the heart is easily changed." "Who's there?!" A young, distinctly male voice cried out. It shook, like a child that was afraid of the dark. Neither ghost Pokemon made a move, for they saw who the cry belonged to. A Sneasel, who looked like he had been crying. He took no notice of the ghost Pokemon, and gave a final glance at something on the ground before quickly dashing away. The Chandelure glided to where the Sneasel had been standing, and motioned for the Phantump to follow. It hovered around what the Sneasel had been crying about: a dead body, belonging to that of another Sneasel. "Poor thing, looks like it died in a fight," said the chandelier Pokemon in its singsong voice. It hovered lower. "So recently, too. This could be just what we need. If you possess its body, the body should come back to life for you for a small window of time, long enough for me to use Pain Split to take away enough wounds that you should be able to live. Mistress told me of this happening once before to a dead Pokemon, and the ghost that possessed it was able to live a second life, or so it was said. We have to hurry though, it won't work if the body has been dead for too long a time." The Phantump nodded. "I'm ready," she said. She floated close to the dead Sneasel, and began to possess it, letting herself absorb into the Pokemon's body and take over its functions. Suddenly the Sneasel's eyes jerked open and it gasped in pain as it was once more brought to the land of the living, although not with the same mind as before. Oh, but the pain. It was like a thousand hungry knives digging into her flesh. It was swimming in burning acid, unable to breathe. It was a deep, pulsing, searing. Familiar. I don't want to die again just make it stop just make it stop- The Phantump within was about to release her hold on the Sneasel's body when suddenly it started hurting less. The agonizing pain began to subside into a dull throb. She let out a deep sigh of relief while the Chandelure hovering above her winced. "All we have to do now is cast the seal Mistress gave me. I can only trust that everything else will fall into place, or you know what will happen," the Chandelure spoke, barely above a musical whisper. The Phantump-now-Sneasel nodded, and the Chandelure reached one of its metal limbs out to touch her forehead. There was an odd sensation, like a wave of water washing through her head, and then the rest of her body, and then everything turned to black. [Read more] |

"Me?" Said Derek, who noticed it was his turn to tell about himself. "Let's see...full name's Derek Wayne Ferris." Thinking it best to leave out his true last name for safety reasons, Derek used his go-to fake surname instead of using "Fausto". His brother had made it quite the name, and it could only be used casually around people they could trust. "Hm, what else...31 years old, I've got a Masters in Computer Sciences, and I was pretty much the head IT guy while I was in college. You could probably call me some sort of computer genius, I've just got the magic touch or something when it comes to computers and such." He leaned back in his chair slightly with a small smile. "My favorite color's blue, although I do like red a lot too." [Read more] |

The hunter squirmed a bit, testing his bonds. He could tell that it was done quickly, almost in a hurry, but they still held fast. If he wanted to free himself, he would need some sort of tool. If I could just... Kanju's hand was within reach of the pocket that he kept his knife in. He slipped his hand into it. Syxe! His hand grabbed nothing but the silk folds of his clothing. He must have forgotten the knife inside his bag. The more he thought of it, the more he was sure that in his earlier state of sleepiness he must have forgotten to grab it. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the man he had fought earlier. Not only was that lunatic here, but there were also several buildings on fire in parts of the town. Kanju looked up at the crazed man. "A bit much, perhaps?" he said in a flat, yet mocking tone. [Read more] |

"What flavor did you get? I have cherry," said Trix. "Huh? Oh, I got chocolate myself. Can't go wrong with good, old-fashioned chocolate," Derek replied with a smile. "You know, I have the strangest feeling right now, as if I've seen you somewhere before. Somehow I doubt it, however. How could I miss seeing someone as hot as you?" Derek looked up from his frozen yogurt at Trix, who had quickly put her hands over her mouth and was looking as red as her sweet dessert. He grinned before breaking into laughter. "Sorry if I hurt your feelings by laughing at you," Derek gave her a friendly smile, "it's just, you're just so cute, y'know that?" (Sorry it's so short, I couldn't think of much else for now, and I have to go study. >_>) [Read more] |

"Is this seat taken by any chance?" She asked him. The girl appeared to be in her late teens or early twenties. "Well yes, my brother was going to sit there," he pointed to the chair. "But I guess you could pull up an extra chair if you really want." He noted the girl's smile and...was that a hint of a blush that he saw for a moment? Whatever it was, Derek decided to dismiss it for the time being. "Th'name's Derek, by the way," he said, pointing his spoon to himself. "And you are...?" The girl didn't look terribly familiar at all, but he might recognize her name from somewhere, or perhaps even met her without remembering her, considering the way she was acting. [Read more] |

"I'll have one Chocolate and one Peach please. Also, put strawberries on the chocolate one," he said to the worker at the cashier, who dutifully began to put together the orders. Derek cast a quick glance at his brother. Yep, busy as ever on that phone of his. "Here you go," said the Yogurtland employee. "Thank you," Derek said as he took the cups of froyo and walked over to the front door, propping it open. "Hey, froyo's here," he said to his brother, who looked like he had just finished the phone call. "I'll get a table." And with that, the hacker ducked back inside the building and sat down at an empty table, putting his brother's yogurt across from him and digging into his own. [Read more] |

Amsel settled onto the ground next to Raeyn, and lifted the girl's head onto her "lap." Her fingers gently stroked Raeyn's dark hair as she began to sing a soothing song to the girl. Its melody was an old one from her home planet, and was believed to be a song of healing. It didn't matter whether it actually worked, as long as it soothed Raeyn's tormented soul. The Warden of Song put a finger to the lips of the weary Warden of Darkness when the latter tried to speak, as if to say "Don't waste your energy, you need to rest for now." The notes of the song continued to echo around the area. They were almost hauntingly beautiful as the Piscean poured her heart into the song, now accompanied by the harp which her fingers plucked at. Amsel closed her eyes, letting the music wash over her and take over her being. Raeyn.... You've been through as I've watched you over these long years. Even if this melody cannot save you, I wish that it soothes your soul as you journey into Hassa. Be well, old friend. (Hassa = Piscean name for afterlife.) [Read more] |

"Now that's much better," the girl chimed as she admired the newly-visible structure. She noticed some people outside, none other than her long-lost "brothers." "O-M-G! It's been so long since I've seen you!" She ran up to Jack and Jack and hugged them together. The Giratina conduit had to balance on her tiptoes in order to reach them better, considering how short she was. "You might even say...ages." The last sentence was spoken barely above a whisper. Road released the twins and grinned at them, although whether it was a good smile or a bad one was hard to tell. The girl rocked back and forth on her feet. "So this is where you two have been camping out all this time, then? Must be a bit boring, being stuck out here all on your own for so long. Kind of a shame, a lot of cool stuff's happened since we last saw each other," Road remarked as she inspected the cabin. "Personally, I would have picked something like a luxury condo, but I suppose it works for someone with your taste." [Read more] |

"You cheat me, cousin. This here's a rare Cloud dragon, they're worth at least four hundred," Kanju argued as he rubbed his eyes. He had taken the time to change into his finer clothes now that he was no longer working. The wound he had received was by now bandaged and he had taken care to make sure that it wouldn't stain his expensive clothes. The brownish gold hues of his robes complimented the pale gold of his eyes. Silver jewelry hung about his neck, and his robes too had decorations of gold and silver, as well as the hood being adorned with the horns of dragons. When Kanju had come to this country, he had learned that jewelry was mainly a fashion choice of women (although some men did wear it as well), as opposed to it being a sign of status in his homeland. The adornments that were meant to show him as a wealthy figure deserving respect often earned him strange glances from locals and set him apart as a foreigner. However, Kanju didn't mind this. It often made ladies fawn over him even more, as they seemed to love his exotic look. In fact, while finishing his second drink of coffee on his way to the dealer, he had overheard two girls talking amongst themselves about the handsome foreigner they had seen the other day and pointed to the hunter, who had given them one of his signature smiles, melting their insides. "Three hundred," the vendor bargained, bringing Kanju back to the present. "I said four." Kanju remained solid. "Three-fifty, highest offer." "Deal," Kanju agreed. As he shook hands with the dealer, he spoke again, "Plus fees and tax, which makes four hundred." Defeated, the vendor scowled as he began to pile up coins while the hunter passed the Cloud hatchling over the counter. Kanju scooped the money into his coin pouch as the vendor muttered something about being able to build castle on prime ground with that kind of money. Of course it was an exaggeration, but he wasn't actually that far off. As Kanju left the black market with considerably heavier pockets than before, his eyes felt heavier and heavier as he made his way back to the safe house. I do get tired after big fights, but never like this. The man yawned as he entered the house and sagged into the hammock he had set up using the beams crossing the ceiling. The last thoughts to cross his mind were of his master and how Kanju guess he was faring, and the hunter fell asleep. (Even longer and I'm sorry but not sorry. I like to develop my characters a lot. :U) [Read more] |

"I'll be taking this, cousin," Kanju said as he snatched the dragon hatchling up from under the boy and immediately popped back into a sitting position. With his free hand, he grabbed one of the bottles he had taken out earlier and ripped out the cork with his teeth. The liquid contained inside flew out, spilling all over Kanju and his horse. It started to evaporate immediately, giving off mass amounts of smoke which enveloped hunter, horse, and hatchling alike. When the smoke cleared a few seconds later, the trio was gone. They were now inside of an old building that had fallen into disrepair. It was two stories, but the second floor was more of a loft than a floor. With the adrenaline from the fight starting to fade, Kanju began notice a sharp and intense pain in his side. He looked down to see a scalpel protruding from a chink in his armor, the tip of it embedded almost directly below his rib cage. Ouch, must have happened during the fight with that deranged rider. I didn't see him throw it...he probably threw it at me as I was getting back up on my horse. Kanji winced as he pulled it out and discarded the tool off the the side. I'm going to need to bandage that soon, he made a mental note. "Well, I didn't intend on bringing you along, but I guess it's for the better." Kanju patted his horse's neck. The hunter slid off his horse and landed on the plank flooring with a thud. With a few clicking noises, he called the horse and led it outside, keeping one hand pressed against his wound. Luckily, the animal fit through the partially dilapidated door. He tied the horse off with the hatchling tucked under his arm, and went inside. The dragon hatchling, which Kanju now identified as a rare Cloud dragon, was put into a portable cage made out of wire mesh while the hunter removed his armor and undershirt. Kanju fished out a new bottle from his pockets and poured a small amount of its contents onto the wound, wincing once more as the liquid stung the wound. It was a concoction meant to speed up the healing process as well as clean the wound. But it sure does sting, Kanju thought as he quickly sucked in an intake of air. (I apologize for the length, I got a bit carried away. XD) [Read more] |

"And I find your flamboyant touch to be quite annoying," the hunter grinned. This one's just too overconfident for his own good. If I play my moves right, I should be able to get past him without a hitch. He wordlessly ordered his horse to start running in a large arc around the man and his dragon, and grabbed his weighted net from the saddle's side pouch. He then threw the net over the dragon, after which he started to take small bottles of different shapes and sizes from a pouch on the other side and fill his pockets. [Read more] |

"This place is just infested with the beast lovers, isn't it?" The rhetorical question was addressed to his horse. How utterly convenient of him to place himself right in between me and my destination, Kanju thought to himself, the voice in his head full of distaste. Noting the weapon that lay ready at the dark-haired man's side, the Hunter inquired, "There isn't any chance that I can pass through here peacefully, is there?" [Read more] |

"Is that your dragon?" He gestured to the dragon circling overhead who had growled. "Now, I wouldn't sic that beast on me just yet if I were you, cousin. You look like such a fine, young girl. Why don't you run along. Go and play with your friends, pick flowers, or whatever it is you people do here." He flashed one of his charming smiles. "I'm an honest man for the most part at least so if you leave now, I promise I won't hurt you or your pet in any way. But if you get my way again, I'm afraid I won't be able to say the same. See, I'm not like those half-baked hunters that I'll bet my sword on appearing all the time." The Hunter's eyes narrowed slightly. "And I won't hold back, even on a fine girl such as yourself." The thing is, not finding a SINGLE Mudkip egg in over 70 searches with the odds at 1/16 or 1/25 is a bit ridiculous, especially when you add on the fact that there are NEARLY FIVE HUNDRED OF THOSE THINGS in the Tall Grass. It's supposed to be another way to get eggs, not an impossible guessing game with barely any results. I do understand that legendaries are meant to be hard to find. The one egg limit should probably be kept in legendary Tall Grass patches. But I know that with several aspects, Pokeheroes has tried to maintain a more "realistic" theme. (Eggs hatch on their own, the stores occasionally run out of stock, etc.) So if there are hundred of eggs in one field, the "density" of the eggs should increase and make them easier to find. Similarly to how during an easter egg hunt, the eggs are easy to find at first, but get harder and harder to find as more of them get picked up. [Read more] |

Obviously you never bothered to read the second paragraph. There would never be a "every spot has an egg" scenario. What I'm saying is, you can never have more than a 50% chance of getting an egg. The fact that Ponyta has 200+ eggs just raises your chances of getting one. It's still a guessing game, but Pokemon that have a lot of eggs in the tall grass would have a higher "density," thus giving higher chances of getting an egg. [Read more] |

For Pokemon with egg quantities that exceed half the number of tiles, only half of the grass patches would have eggs, the others having wild Pokemon. For legendary Pokemon found in the Tall Grass like Lati@s and Keldeo, the one egg rule would remain to make them harder to obtain. (Seeing as how they are Legendary, and are supposed to be rarer and harder to get.) [Read more] |

"Syxe," the man cursed under his breath in another language. He reached for his spear and tried to remove his foot from the stirrup, but only succeeded in falling backwards and getting his foot twisted up in the leather. His hood dropped off his head, and his long white hair tumbled out. The horse whinnied, obviously nervous of the dragon behind it, and looked about to start running. "No no, stay, wait, pas!" Kanju commanded the horse as it took a step forward. Luckily, it obeyed. By this time, he had managed to grab his spear, and used it to free his boot. He spotted a girl nearby who had been watching the entire time. Kanju's face almost turned red with embarrassment at the thought of someone having watched the disgraceful scene. "Syxe!" The hunter cursed again, this time in the form of a loud hiss as he stood up and replaced his hood. He kept his spear pointed in the direction of the black dragon as he said to the girl, "Don't tell me you were watching that, were you?" [Read more] |
