Name of Character: Suki Eirvato

Character Age: 19

Personality: Suki is quiet, reserved, and hardly one to be involved in any situation requiring more than a few simple tasks. She can be very sweet, albeit awkward, despite the obvious attempts to deter people from interacting with her. The rest is TBRPD.

Appearance: Suki has long, well-kept gray hair and ice-blue eyes, as well as a face that constantly looks unenthusiastic. She is 5'4 and relatively thin, but otherwise she looks completely normal. Other than that, she just wears whatever. Idk what else to say tbh

"....not a word to Jackie or Kaden, alright?"

She gave a shrug and a grin, still turned away from Idris as she paused. "Wasn't plannin' on it, don't tempt me~" she snickered, her attention now more so focused on the hand that suddenly emerged from the ground. Mei was already working on cleaning up in the first place, the extra help was just... shocking, to say the least. All she could really do was stand there like an idiot and watched it do its thing, looking slightly annoyed but also somehow amused while doing so.

She could've done it herself, but whatever...

After the hand disappeared, not before giving Mei a hilarious gesture, she began to burst out laughing, but only briefly before she calmed down and threw herself down in the chair closest to her room, a ways away from Idris. "Gee, thanks I guess..." She muttered, all with a grin on her face.

This guy was weird, really weird, but she couldn't complain. At least he wasn't boring.

She didn't really feel like getting up to make the trek to her room, so she simply stayed in the chair and picked up a random book that was nearby, figuring that she could at least do something else other than bothering the emo while she waited for this break to be over.

Mei arrived at the shared dorm shortly after Idris, the faint sound of things being thrown around, admittedly, didn't make her all that enthusiastic about coming any closer.

Teasing around wasn't all that fun when someone ended up in a fit of rage, that's for sure. It got annoying and pretty boring, honestly.

She entered the main room quietly, lightly scoffing at the fact the door wasn't even shut before slowly pushing it closed. "Geez..." She muttered quietly to herself, then groaned a little upon seeing the absolute mess Idris had made. Books were flung everywhere, so were the pillows, the chairs were pushed out of place, all that fun stuff.

...And Mei was gonna have to clean it up, huh. But first, before she could do anything, Mei noticed the door to the batcave was open, and inside was the emo himself. She probably would've made a comment about how dumb he looked right now, standing in front of the mirror and all that, but she stopped herself. He was already pissed off and had scissors in his hands, she didn't doubt that he knew how to use them, and she didn't want to risk it.

Speaking of scissors...

She silently walked closer, her arms crossed and her expression neutral. She stopped before entering his room, leaning on the doorframe as she stared at him blankly.

"...Seriously?" She spoke after a few moments, raising her eyebrows.

"Y'know I'd at least call a barber or somethin'..."

She sighed before readjusting herself, taking a moment to look away from him.

"Fine, I'll leave you alone or whatever, but just sayin'... You'd look pretty dumb, honestly. Thought our shenanigans weren't worth listenin' to, y'know."

After a moment, she gave a small groan and pushed herself off the doorframe, raising her hand for a wave as she turned around. "But whatever, have fun doin' whatever that is, I gotta clean up this damn mess you made..." She grumbled, moving her feet to walk off.

Mei watched Idris as he left, not moving until much after he slammed the door, all while blinking rapidly. Hard enough to shake the room... Damn. As much as she hated to admit it, she felt a little bad, but not bad enough to stop being a jerk about it. In all honesty, the guilt was really only quickening the rate her boredom grew.

She then turned to Jackie and Kaden, putting on an innocent "confused" look. "Awww, did we do somethin' wroooong?" She then giggled a bit before being interrupted by the intercom.

"ALL STUDENTS! THIS IS THE END OF FIRST CLASS, PLEASE MAKE YOUR WAY TO YOUR DORMS FOR SOME FREE TIME. STUDENTS ARE ALLOWED TO VISIT EACH OTHER'S DORMS IN THE DAY."

...Oh great.

"Daaaaaamnnn, guess that's it, huh?" She said with an exaggerated pout, letting her head fall slightly behind her as she stuffed her hands in her pockets while she moved towards the door, giving a big wave with her signature grin to the class as she left. "Cya 'round scumbags!" She exclaimed before turning on her heel and walking out the door.

She wasn't too behind Idris, she could still see his edgy emo-ness radiating from the other end of the hallway. She couldn't be bothered to catch up to him in all honesty, Mei kind of just wanted to stay behind and leave him alone for a bit, a nice quiet break at her dorm sounded nice as well.

...Even if she had to deal with that guy's edginess infecting her room somehow.

She stuffed her hands in her pockets and sighed, not making another sound as her light footsteps carried her through the quiet hallway while she journeyed to her dorm.

The little bird of darkness in her ear was being awfully quiet right now.

"ALL STUDENTS! THIS IS THE END OF FIRST CLASS, PLEASE MAKE YOUR WAY TO YOUR DORMS FOR SOME FREE TIME. STUDENTS ARE ALLOWED TO VISIT EACH OTHER'S DORMS IN THE DAY."

Oh... Well, guess it was time to dismiss. Aoi let out a sigh and grabbed his things, not daring to look at the rest of the class. The door slamming from that one guy everyone was picking on shook him up a bit, but Aoi did his best not to show it. Sure, he might've jumped tremendously, but at least he did nothing else, right?

Oh well.

Guess it was time to leave. He waved a goodbye to Kitty then made his way out the door, then headed to his dorm. Taking a break from the noise might be nice.

"Oh for Christ's sake- Not funny."

Mei turned her eyes towards him with a challenging glare and a devious grin, then chuckled mischievously before turning away. "Aww, boo hoo~" She said simply as she giggled.

"You're the only one bein' a downer~"

She looked over at Jackie and Kaden, sticking her tongue out at the former upon receiving that criminal side eye, then turning back to her mess of a cauldron. Mei stared at it with a grin on her face, trying to keep herself from bursting into laughter once again. Of course, she was struggling to do so upon seeing those demonic fish flopping around like idiots in the bottom of the abyss. Oh how fun her little "friend" was, albeit a jerk at times.

She looked over at Jackie once again as she began to burst out, finally cracking herself. She leaned over her cauldron and doubled over laughing, struggling to breathe as she just kept on laughing. Too bad one of the fish's tails suddenly slapped her across the face once it had somehow flailed enough to reach her, all before disappearing once hitting the bottom, leaving nothing behind. She would've laughed even more, but she was growing tired and strangely bored, so she caught her breath and straightened herself back up.

Oh, class seemed to have ended. Hm... Well, she didn't have anything else to work with, so no more explosions for her I guess, and she was starting to grow bored of these people anyways. Sure, as fun as it was, she'd rather have better stuff to do.

...And while it wasn't exactly "better", due to "popular" demand, she shall now mess with Idris once again because man I love writing her out of character.

She looked over at the emo once again, placing her hands behind her head as she lightly stretched and grinned. Her eyes fell upon his cauldron as another idea formed. Admittedly, one she immediately regretted and kind of dreaded, but she figured "screw it, why not", as per usual.

Her feet picked up as her hands fell to her sides, then cradled each other behind her back innocently as she made her way over. Her smile was obviously devious in nature, but she was giving a concerningly good innocent smile.

"Awww... Debbie downer much? What a shame, how could anyone be so cruel to an innocent classmate who's just trying to mind his business! I wonder who could do such a thing!"

She giggled as she walked up behind him, standing off to the side as she looked into his cauldron as well. The letters had gone away by now, only leaving something that looked like a poor attempt of black tie-dye.

...Not for long though, soon enough after Mei's arrival, the swirls began to clump together and formed something that looked like a fist, with a weird handle looking thing off to the side. Slowly, the handle began to move in a circle as one of the fingers from the fist slowly raised up until it was a full-fledged middle finger, to which Mei gave a dramatic gasp to as she giggled. Not long after, the hand seemed to just... Spontaneously combust, making a mess out of Idris's potion. Albeit, the concoction wasn't ruined, but at this point it might as well be.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Aoi began to clean up the materials, completely ignoring the commotion behind him as he looked at his and Kitty's brew, feeling slightly proud of the duo. It turned out better than he'd thought, and he was honestly just grateful that they weren't being messed with.

"That was... fun." He said simply, looking in Kitty's direction.

"...oh, god, not again."

Akari's heart stopped for a moment, his breathing paused abruptly as well upon seeing that look, hearing those words. He quickly raised his remaining hand and let it hover over Lucian's shoulders before moving them back to the side, his eyes quickly adverting. The hell was he thinking? He knew that look all too well, the fear and pain that came with it, the agony it must've been. Why did he think it was a good idea?

"...O-Oh god, s-sorry I..." His small voice managed to mutter out between his barely parted lips.

He listened to Idris, talking about someone who was important to him. Talked about what she did, and how much it hurt.

Those words struck pain in Akari, the memories of his own all coming back to him.

It really did hurt, didn't it?

God... Why'd you have to do it, Rei?

You never wanted to fall, but you did, didn't you? You gave your hand to me, why couldn't I take it?

You never had to do any of that, Rei. So... Why did you?

He closed his eyes once again as he gritted his teeth, his gaze now on the spot on Lucian's shoulder where his hand was. He stepped away, he backed up along with Lucian, refusing to look anywhere near the edge as he did so. He simply backed away, his head hung low as he simply stood there. He looked between him, Idris, Darcy, and Sawyer, but never looked above their chins.

"...I'm not worth it. I'm sorry. ...I'm sorry..."

He looked back over at Lucian, his expression hardening ever so slightly. It was also filled with pity and guilt, maybe it was a little too much like something he'd say.

"...Lucian, I-... just... Stop, please. Just... Stop." His voice was still so low it could barely be heard, but the more he spoke the less shaky it got. It only seemed to grow more firm.

"...I can't let it happen again..."

...I can't either, Lucian. We can't.

"...okay... Let's go. I-I guess..."

Akari took a short, deep breath, slowly stuffing his hands back into his pockets as his eyes went to no one in particular, he just kept his head low and his gaze even lower. He subtly nodded his head before replying with a "Mhm," taking a small, slow step forward towards the door. He'd follow behind the group, assuming they were leaving as well, lag behind without a word.

"...Idris. I'm... Sorry."

"...about Reo."

He glanced up at Idris as his fists continued to clamp tighter. Again, not out of anger, but out of his own panic and pity.

...Yeah. Sucks, doesn't it? Sorry you had to... Y'know.

Gotta love being in hell, huh?

...Oh. He stopped walking.

He hesitated a bit before picking up his feet again, walking closer to Darcy as he made his way to the door slowly. He knew. He saw it.

Akari said nothing, but instead paused and looked up, tilting his head sightly as his near expressionless gaze looked upon Darcy. He shrugged slightly, then spoke hesitantly. "...You comin'?"

He wasn't exactly sure what to say to Darcy, he was absolutely horrible at this stuff, but he couldn't let Darcy do it either. He looked over at Sawyer momentarily, then looked back at the chocolatier. "I-... C'mon, you heard Lucian." He paused for a moment, then sighed, turning his head away.

"I am...too. But that's the past, and no matter how want I want to, I can never change the past.

Look after yourself, Lucian, 'kay?"

He looked once more at Idris, then looked away.

Akari wished he could too, but Idris was right. Couldn't change it, don't even try. He'd accepted it long ago that he couldn't do anything.

...Guess we all need to look out for ourselves, huh?

Maybe even look out for each other, but...

Not sure how much that'd help, right now at least.

He gave a small nod upon seeing Idris's "thanks", but did nothing else as he waited for the rest to go along. Right now, as badly as he wanted to go back to his dorm, he figured it would probably be best to not be alone.

idris response tba(maybe???)

Mei simply shrugged the whole ordeal off, walking away to the podiums as she saw the light dimming around her. She was, understandably, quite disappointed at the lack of productivity today, instead wasting it all on that emo with so much edge and angst he could probably kill with how sharp that edge is alone.

Anyways, she waltzed her way over to the stands and looked around breifly, grinning at every individual she could lay her eyes upon. So... Wonder who the Youkai are, right? Must be nice to have some power in this realm.

Mei Akamatsu

There. Have a little fun for once, y'know? If she got the vote, who cares, right? Mix things around a bit, that'll be fun.

...Oh. So Idris joined the chase. Guess he wasn't invited or whatever.

Fun.

C'mon man, forget about it. Just leave already, will you? Don't need to involve yourself anymore, you've already done enough. Just leave, do it and-

Curse you Daiko, stop being bored and involving your characters in every little thing. This stuff is only gonna be filler anyways.

He decided to make his way over to the bridge room as well, moving at a slightly quicker pace than his emo sad boy edgy walk. In fact, he was pretty much sprinting, heavy footsteps from his boots giving a multitude of rushing thuds with every step.

Run, Akari. Run as fast as you can.

Don't do it Lucian.

Run away from here. Get away as quickly as you can.

You can't, Lucian. Don't do it.

You know how to run, you've been doing it since you could stand on two feet.

We don't need another, Lucian. Don't jump.

...

Run, Akari. You won't make it in time.

Wouldn't be surprised if you've already done it by now. Maybe one of those bastard even pushed you off. Bet you begged them to.

Keep running Akari, they're going to die. They're going to die and they need you. You have to.

Honestly I don't blame you. I would've done it. I'd probably do it right now if it wasn't for...

Keep going Akari. Keep running. Keep running and maybe you'll be able to save the next one who falls. Just keep-

...I don't know if I can anymore.

...

Oh, he was already here. His feet slowed to a stop, and so did the thudding. The thudding in his ears didn't stop, it never did. He turned the corner, surprised to see that Miyako and Darcy were absent and Idris of all people wasn't, but his eyes were pinned on Lucian.

...Akari didn't really like heights, in all honesty. Well, not heights that he could fall from. It was just torment, really.

...

"What are you so scared of, huh? Go on, do it you coward."

...Mom caught him on the bridge that day. Akari always walked this path nearly every afternoon, and almost every single time he would...

He'd lean over the flimsy rails and look at the horizon beyond. Some days he was brave enough to gaze into the rushing waters of the river below. Somedays he would rattle the rails to try and loosen them. Some days he would stick a leg over.

Some days he would lean over completely, his arms barely gripping the rails behind him, the only thing keeping him from falling below.

But he never did it. One day he was probably out for too long or something. He was probably trying to see how long he could hold on before his arms got tired, lost track of time, y'know?

She caught him on the bridge, and when she spotted him, that horrifying gaze peered into his soul while her lips formed that grin he would never be able to shake. She taunted, she mocked, she laughed, she insulted, she slapped, she screamed, she kicked, she yelled, she punched, she beat, she-

And no one was there to save him. He should've jumped, should've let her push him off. Shouldn't have put up a fight, shouldn't have been there for that long.

He was told that he couldn't come home unless he came in a casket. Not like he could. He was too weak to get himself out of the bushes he had been kicked into. He thought he'd die there, honestly. If he didn't, the bridge was right there.

The sound of the water was nice. Kind of... relaxed him as he sat there through the night. The odd silence only filled with the chittering of the insects nearby were calming in a way. Sound of the owls in the woods around him always broke the silence, those weren't pleasant.

...Next thing he knew, something he saw from his eyes that could barely see through his battered eyelids, the next thing he felt was the movement of being hoisted over someone's shoulder again. He knew that feeling all too well.

It was him, he was always there to save him. Albeit in the most unconventional ways possible, but he was there. Neither of them said a word on the way home that day. Not like it would do anything if they did.

...He never really liked edges. He couldn't go over that bridge again after that. He never wanted to cross that junk covered, rusty-railed slab of concrete again.

...

"Lucian..?"

Akari walked forward, walked over to the two and didn't say a word. His footsteps were quiet, unlike the ones from when he ran earlier. It was almost like his presence was nonexistent in that room. He was probably interrupting a moment between the two anyways.

He listened as Idris spoke, unsure of how to process all of that. It was odd, really, seeing him like this, but guess he couldn't be surprised. Besides, Akari barely knew the guy, he couldn't be one to determine what was "normal" behavior for Idris.

"Re- Lucian. You don't have to do this. Please."

...Funny, really. That tone wasn't something he would expect out of this guy. Guess the times called for it, after all.

It's just... Those words, the way he said it, they all sounded...

Why did it remind him of her? She used to say these things to him, to anyone really.

...But now wasn't the time to start thinking about her again. He needed to think about Lucian.

"You have people that care about you, right? Friends, family? If not, who cares? It's you that matters, not anyone else. You. You hear me, Reo? You can't jump again, because you'll leave me behind again and I can't bear that."

He looked over at Idris, his teeth getting tighter and tighter along with his fists. It wasn't out of anger or frustration or anything, no, it was more of a reaction out of stress and panic. The words he was saying, Akari knew them all too well and it stung a little. He looked back over at Lucian, his shaking frame reminding him of his own.

Two broken people, both probably had one hell of a story, a hell of a lot of pain and suffering.

...It sucked, didn't it? Horrible, I guess. It was plain and simple. Akari didn't know how to describe any of it, but maybe simple thoughts were enough.

Simple thoughts. Good luck with that.

"I mean- Lucian. Sorry. Same things apply, I guess. Ignore Kubo. He's not important, you're important. So please. Do yourself a favour and step away from the edge. It doesn't have to end like this, 'kay? I can't....we can't have another death. We need you to help solve this whole mess. We really do. And it's not your fault, any of this. It's none of ours. It's that stupid bear and the mastermind. We beat them, we save everyone. And that's what you wanna do, right? Save everyone? Well, to save people. To help people, you'll step away from there. You won't be helping anyone if you jump. Not yourself. And for Kubo? Eh, screw him. You blame yourself for all the deaths? Well cut the crap. Help me figure this all out, and then you won't feel like that anymore. If we solve murders, then we'll be one step closer to getting the hell outta here, okay, Lucian? Lucian? You're listening to me, right?"

...He's right, y'know.

You should probably listen to him, Lucian. He makes a good point. Can't have anyone else dying, right? Won't do any of us any good if you're dead.

Don't make the same mistake I did, please.

It really isn't worth it.

Please, just... Don't.

I'm begging you... Don't do it. It'll never be worth it.

Just... trust us, ok? I don't... Want this to happen.

Not again, please.

Not... again, please...?

God I... I don't want that to happen again...

I miss her so much...

...Why did I have to do any of that...?

...

"...no, I– I have to! Don't I?..."

...He said the same thing once. Asked the same question. Looked over the same edge. Funny how he knew the answer for others, but not for himself. He walked closer to Lucian, not making a sound.

"Idris…? Is that you?"

"...I left you. I left you when you needed me. Because I thought I couldn't help. That my presence would make no difference. Mei didn't leave you, though. Leave me here. Leave me like I left you."

...Also funny how much Lucian reminded Akari of himself. No one ever needed him though, he always needed them, as much as he refused to admit it. He always tried to convince himself he needed no one, but deep down he desperately wanted something.

...But someone did need him, though. She needed him, and Akari did nothing. He really couldn't help, he couldn't do anything.

You're thinking about her again. Snap out of it.

...Right. Right, Lucian. Idris. Don't need to be thinking about it right now, they're more important than this stupid pity party.

"...why can't I just do it already? Why the stalling? I'm pathetic, really."

"...I'm sorry, Idris. For everything."

Akari asked himself the same thing, over and over.

He knew those words all too well.

But you're not pathetic, Lucian. Not like I am. Don't be me, it's not fun. Trust me on this one, please just... Don't make the same mistake.

Akari wished he could apologize as well. Too bad it wouldn't mean anything. Never did.

"...why… why should they care? Idris, I'm not a part of it all. I-I'm not a part of anything. I don't- I don't matter to anyone. I'm just the therapist. I'm just A GHOST. I'm not a person. I– I– I-..."

...

"...I don't matter. I never have. It's other people that matter. I'm not part of the picture."

"...it's okay, really. No one would be sad to see me die. I'm not important. Not even a person. It's okay, really. …family, huh? My mother is dead, my sister is dead, my siblings are dead, or they hate me. My father and my stepmother hate me, and they might be dead too, for all I know. Knowing them… knowing the kind of life they've chosen to lead… ...it's a very rich possibility."

. . .

Calm down, Akari.

"...what? What are… what are you saying, Idris?"

"...I don't matter. I'm not even a person. I'm DEAD. I'm a CORPSE. They might as well have beaten me down to the ground and thrown me into it! You never escape. You never truly escape. You're dead the moment you–"

"I-I'm sorry, I– what you're saying… it sounds… so strange. I don't matter. It's… it's the patients that matter. Not me. That's the point. Who's… who's Reo? Idris, I– I already left you behind… I'm sorry…"

Stop it, Lucian. Just... Stop it. Shut up, just shut up already. You can't say that. Don't f**cking say that. Not when you... Not when I...

If you're not even a person, then what the hell am I, huh? If you don't even matter, is all of our energy just being wasted then? Huh? You're right. You don't escape. But at this point, does it even matter? Huh? Lucian I swear to-

...

S**t

I'm doing it again.

Sorry Lucian.

...

"I'M NOT IMPORTANT!! DON'T YOU GET IT? I NEVER HAVE BEEN IMPORTANT! Why don't you just push me off right now? I'm not even a person. Monokuma shouldn't count it as a murder. Hahahahahahahahaha!! God, no, who am I kidding? I'm just like Dad! I'll always be just like him, even if I never– no matter how hard I– Kubo was-"

He flinched. He grit his teeth. Clenched his fist. Turned his face into a scowl. He had to admit, he was a little envious of Lucian, as much as he hated being so.

He couldn't take it anymore.

Akari took the last few steps closer to Lucian, and...

...

He raised one hand, hovering it closer to the right of Lucian's face. It hung in the air for a bit, he hesitated. Then he let it fall and rest upon his shoulders. His left hand was quicker, but it was still hesitant to fall.

Sorry if my hands are cold, Lucian. Hope you don't mind.

He tried so hard to keep his hands from gripping Lucian's shoulders any tighter, but a small squeeze could still be felt. He took a deep breath and looked down at the mop of white hair, Akari's chocolate-colored and golden eyes staring right at Lucian's deep brown. It hurt, looking directly at someone like that, those daggers digging into where it hurt the most, but he did it anyways. Besides, thank god Lucian's only felt like needles compared to... most.

"...Lucian," Akari started out, unsure of what to say next or even what exactly he was trying to do. "Stop." He paused, struggling to not only find what to say, but to hold himself together.

"...Calm down. Take a deep breath. Listen, just for a second, alright? Look, just..." he paused once again, sighing lightly as he closed his eyes. His brother used to do this to him, every time things got too much. Akari thought he'd get used to it like he did, but it never happened. It only seemed to get worse, honestly.

"We're here, aren't we? I know it's hard, but... C'mon, don't do this to yourself. We're here, Lucian, don't push us away. Idris is right, we really do need you. And... Just slow down, think a bit, will ya?" He winced at those words, knowing he was probably the worst person to be talking to Lucian in that moment other than... half the cast, and his words probably didn't mean much anyways. Well, he could try, right?

"...I can't ignore him… Idris, I love him…"

Akari took a deep breath upon hearing that word.

...Tricky thing, love was. It hurt, went through hell for it, sometimes it didn't even seem worth it. Everyone in the room in that moment... God, it sucked, didn't it? Mei had gone and got herself killed, probably in one of the worst ways possible too, and Kubo, being the bastard he was just... Snapped at Lucian, said god awful things, some of the worst things you could hear from someone who meant the world to you.

And him? Aerith was dead. She died in a cruel way, something she didn't deserve. Akari wondered if she felt like Lucian in her final moments. She was standing at the edge too, but it was more so that she was shoved off instead of... falling herself. Did she hate him? Did she even know what was happening? How devastated was she? How did she feel?

God, that face haunted him every day. Those final words of hers, mixed in with those horrific screams, it loomed over him like the shadows of the sky above, all that weight laying on his shoulders.

None of them deserved this weight, it was too heavy of a burden to be justified by what they might've "deserved" or whatever. Akari probably did, though. He deserved to be haunted by such a horrible thing, what he did was so much worse anyways.

Not Lucian, though, not Idris. The latter didn't deserve such a cruel fate, and Lucian didn't deserve Kubo's BS. That asshole didn't deserve someone like Lucian either.

Cruel world, isn't it? Sucked to be human, no doubting that.

"...I'm not important, I'm not important…"

"...you…"

"...no… no… I–"

"...Kaoru… I…"

"I'm sorry. I'm… I'm so sorry…"

"...I'm sorry…"

Akari stepped back as well once Lucian did, not yet acknowledging the object he held. He kept his eyes on Lucian's face, although it was getting harder and harder to do so, and kept his hands on Lucian's shoulders, even loosening them slightly.

"...We're in this together, Lucian, you got that?" He said simply before removing his left hand, letting it fall to his side.

"So, c'mon. Gotta stick it out 'till the end, right?"

"Quite a shame you don't have a fresh n' fancy bottle on you, y'know? Oh well, pick a God and pray for me. I hope that bloody idiot will have more mercy on your soul than I do."

- Name -
καταραμένος
Kataraménos "Rem" [ No Last Name ]
(Will "kindly" suggest those he sees as lower than him to call him "Capt'n Raménos")
(And no, you may not call him "Kat")

- Gender -
Male

- Pronouns -
He/Him, They/Them

- Sexuality -
Grayromantic/Asexual

- Age -
22

- Occupation/Job -
Head of (one of) Sun Sea's "beloved" gang of Pirates. Occasionally (read as: "once in a blue moon") he works as a weaponsmith, as well as a few minor technological jobs on the side. He usually does these for fun, when he's not busy being a menace to Aeloria.

- Species -
Dwarf, has the appearance of an Elf (which he is mixed with).

- Magic Type -
Enchantment

- Appearance -
Him - Outfit Ref 1 - Outfit Ref 2 - Coat Ref - Hat Ref (Though brown instead of grey)
-
Kataraménos stands at an average 5'9 and has a muscular build, his tanned, darkened skin is littered in wounds and scars that he embraces because they are, quote, "bada-- lookin' ". Visibly, his appearance screams elf, as his pointed ears, distinctive blood-red eyes, and overall elegant features are quite prominent. Kataraménos keeps his sleek, somewhat unkept onyx-black hair quite long and occasionally ties it in a loose, low ponytail. His bangs are slightly off-white and long as well, and he keeps those locks of hair untouched.

His outfit consists of the stereotypical pirate outfit because honestly I just like the design. A simple, ragged poet shirt underneath a buttoned mahogany leather vest that extends down to his knees (see ref 2). Kataraménos wears simple black pants that are not so neatly tucked into brown cavalier boots. He also sports his beloved (and quite extravagant) coat, but is only seen with it on during "formal" occasions.

Extra accessories include a various assortment of jewelry, most notably the multitude of rings that adorned his fingers and the piercings in his ears. He also wears an odd arrangement of them on his clothing, such as chains on his pants or random jewels in his vest or boots. There's also his hat, which is always ensured to be in good condition and worn occasionally, mostly it's just a "show-off" cosmetic.

- Personality -
ESTP
-
Kataraménos has quite an erratic personality, commonly found to be rude, insensitive, careless, manipulative, and overall a danger to your own health to be around. He has a great sense of humor, albeit dark and mischievous in nature, and appears to be a fun person at first glance (which is true, depending on how well you know him). He always puts on a flamboyant, loud, eager, "friendly", and an all around energetic and outgoing personality (even when his actions are... less than acceptable) and easily adapts to ever situation as a way to get closer to people. In reality though, he is harsh, cruel, sly, and again, manipulative, and will do anything to get his way. Kataraménos is highly intelligent and has a multitude of skills, and knows how to bide his time and wrap others around his finger. This man is extremely loyal to those he is close to, even when it seems like he would ditch them the second things go awry, and surprisingly he cares deeply for others and would give his life for them. Too bad those he doesn't share a tight bond with get the exact opposite treatment, only being seen as disposable tools or "just another pathetic lifeform in this godforsaken land".

In more casual situations though, when he sees no need to have such a wild and exaggerated persona, Kataraménos is typically more laid back and neutral. His personality, motives, morals, objectives, and pretty much everything about him really, is all over the place and makes him quite unpredictable. One thing's for sure though, said personality is quite charming and entertaining, as unpleasant as the results may be.

Honestly, I just like to make things up as I go along, so the rest is TBRPD.

- Backstory -
This "poor" and "unfortunate" soul has quite the troubling past, his childhood traumas, unsurprisingly, molding his views to the way they are today. Kataraménos never speaks a word about his history and always shrugs the topic off like it's not worth mentioning in the first place, always ensuring that others won't assume he's affected by it much. Truth is, his life sucked, and he has unfortunately become one of the many victims of my need for edgy, angsty, traumatizing backstories :)

From day 1, his life was already set out to be an utter hell. Kataraménos was the result of a ✨scandalous✨ affair, and therefore his family was ridiculed from the moment it became known to the run-down community they lived in. His mother, a lesser-known but very skilled craftswoman, grew close to a travelling elf after struggling with her absent and... unpleasant husband who spent most of his days training and working in the mines. Of course, things began to snowball for the three involved after the woman's son was born. For the first few years of his life, things were relatively normal, minus the hellhole he was subjected to daily that was usually kept under wraps. Nonetheless, the small community of Dwarves in the Iron Mountains that he resided in wasn't exactly fond of his family due to how troublesome his mother's husband was, giving them quite a hard time.

Instead of going out and actually living a life, which he was unable to do peacefully due to how much he stood out, Kataraménos spent most of his time with his mother, and occasionally his Elven father who continued traveling the land. He learned a multitude of handy skills in craftsmanship, and from a young age he tended to use magic along with his work. He learned many things from his father as well, namely combat related skills, various subjects and talents from his many travels, and occasionally magic. Kataraménos became quite proficient in many of the things he was taught, eventually becoming a nameless prodigy at a young age. He adored making weapons and technology unlike anything the world has ever seen, but he was usually never able to share his work without shady, underhanded means. His mother was a kind and gentle soul and tried her best to maintain a good image, so she took no part in Kataraménos's business (if she even knew in the first place) other than working with him and teaching with him. She probably wasn't even aware of his magical prowess, but if she was, she was highly disapproving of it.

Suddenly, the angst and edgy train came and before the age of 11, Kataraménos's Dwarven "father" came home after being gone for quite a while, and describing his state as just drunk would be generous. He had downed a few too many of whatever strong alcoholic beverage this realm had and brought it with him. It just so happened that the traveling Elf had come along during that time, and as expected, it ended in a tragedy. Absolute chaos, utter catastrophe, all before the age of 11. The drunken Dwarf and the Elf both ended up dead, and Kataraménos and his mother ended up heavily scarred from the incident, both mentally and physically. In such a broken state from the turn of events, Kataraménos had fled the mountains and roamed the realm helplessly until he ended up in Sun Sea, where he gained a small following of "misfit" friends due to the power, skill and expertise he held (as well as a collective desire to form a "pack" and become "better than the scummy people who live here"). And yes, at this point he is still younger than 13, shocking I know.

As Kataraménos grew older along with his makeshift family, they became more and more known to all of Aeloria, only growing more and more feared and hated. Even then, most couldn't help to respect their unbelievable amount of success and power that they held as horrible as their intentions may be. Mostly though, they only do the things they do for the fun of it, and I'm not sure if that makes it better or worse. More and more people began to join Kataraménos until they grew into a small army, a small little society of their own that wrecked havoc over Aeloria. That being said, this odd and chaotic man has quite the story to tell, too bad he constantly makes it up when mentioned or refuses to acknowledge it in the first place. Of course, there a lot of details I have yet to mention, but I guess I'll leave those at "TBRPD" :)

Oh yeah, one more thing, he's a bit iffy about humans for some odd reason, totally has nothing to do with a certain trauma he has :)

Akari took a deep breath and closed his eyes when Lucian ran off, knowing exactly what he intended to do.

But Akari could do nothing to stop him. Couldn't reach his cold hand out to grab him. Couldn't say a word.

"...Hope you like having all these deaths on your conscious, Kubo." Akari spat, not even lifting his head to glare at him. His fists were clenched so tightly it would've probably stung like hell.

If he could feel it.

"Sounds like something a jackass like you deserves, anyways."

"...Never thought I'd wish that fate on anyone but... Here we are." He spoke under his breath, his stone-cold, hardened tone unwavering. He had probably snapped, honestly. Couldn't take the absolute hell that rampaged in his mind for so long, the events that happened moments prior probably made everything just... Stop. The world crashed down on him and all that's left was... Nothing. Somehow even less than before.

"Well? You going to kill me, or what?"

...Damn.

"You going to kill me, or what?"

"..."

"...I'm not gonna go that low for a scumbag like you."

Those words hurt, hurt more than he'd like to admit.

But he didn't feel the pain.

I wonder why.

...

"You. You f**king disgust me. How you can say that to another person, especially someone like him..."

"...I don't know how you can live with yourself."

...So Darcy slapped him, huh? Good. Kubo deserved it. Honestly, Akari wished he could've done it himself, but...

No, you're not doing it again.

...And with that, Akari and his caged-up temper hanging on by a literal thread made their retreat, saying almost nothing before walking off for good.

Before he did though, he took one last look back at Sawyer and Idris and sighed. "...Sorry."

That was all he could say. He didn't even dare look at Kubo. If he did, probably just the sight of his ugly face alone would've been enough to break Akari. As much as he hated it, that's just who he was.

People never change, Akari. You're not the exception.

You're still the same bastard who's too goddamn weak to do anything.

Still the same bastard who held that gun with such ease, almost like it was a part of you.

Still the same bastard who killed a dozen and killed a dozen more.

You're still the scum of the earth, Akari.

Nothing you can do will change that.

Not even sawing off your flesh and bones will change that.

Your hands are still bloody, Akari.

Absolutely covered in it.

Nothing will change that.

"...I'm done."

Then he walked out the door.

ughhhhhhhhhh

somehow she got some popcorn, but she was damn well making sure she was enjoying this show to the fullest.

...If you listened close enough, you could probably hear her rampage of insults towards Kubo.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

...Well there goes that plan.

All this chattering, all this yelling, all this bickering and arguing and death threats and-

"I guess Mei can't say that, can she, Idris? She'd sooner die than be with you. That must hurt."

...What? The hell?

For christ's sake Kubo. Somehow, you're making yourself the most hated little piece of s**t here, and Mei set that bar so low.

How the hell could you be such an asshole?

"...shut your trap, Kubo. No one wants to hear the rubbish coming out of your muzzle, not even Lucian, and that's saying something. Mei and I are of no concern to you, dead or alive, eh? If it wasn't for you, she'd still be alive."

"I wish you died instead."

...Don't we all.

Don't we f**king all.

Go on, Akari. He deserves it, doesn't he? You can pummel his s**t-filled mouth in right here and now, and there's no stopping you. Perfect little punching bag, isn't he? Go on, I know you can do it.

Nothing's stopped you in the past anyways. What's changed?

"Oh I meant it alright. And I know dumbass over here did too."

"Take a breath? We're not little kids. That pathetic crap won't work on us, not me anyways."

"I'll kill you."

...God, the air was suffocating.

Footsteps. Slow, heavy footsteps.

Akari made his way over to the group. His fists clenched tightly in his tattered pockets. He begged for them to stay there.

"Am I supposed to care about your opinion? The only one who did was Mei, and she died wishing that pretty little blade she gave you was embedded in your back. Just try and kill me, see what happens."

...Oh we'll do more than try, Kubo.

Eyes that weren't his own glared at Kubo with an intensity that was completely overwhelming. It was seething with hatred and anger, but as different as those eyes looked, they didn't seem... Unfamiliar.

He stayed silent as they yelled and screamed, threatened each other with threats he refused to listen to. It burned, it burned so much, not only the noise but the sheer hostility.

...And suddenly, it all seemed to slow down.

It got easier to listen to his own silent pleas, it got easier to keep his damn mouth closed. He couldn't let himself say anything, it wasn't worth... that.

He listened silently to Idris, turning his head ever so slightly in his direction.

"Lucian, man, c'mon. This dumbass isn't worth it. Listen to me. I'll forgive you for pushing me if you ditch this loser and come and drink booze or something with me. Or water, if that's what you prefer. This idiot has been lying to you this whole time, and I dunno why you didn't see it earlier.

Were you blinded by love, Lucian?

To be honest, I was too.

And it hurts, Lucian. It really does.

And I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

'Cept Kubo....maybe.

So please.

Come with me and we'll mourn everyone peacefully. No words exchanged.

Kubo.

Isn't.

Worth.

Your.

Time."

...

A drink, huh. Drinks usually solved things, right?

Remember what you did, Akari?

...Dad liked to drink. He didn't blame him.

Mom did too. He hated it, they all did.

All the worst things happened when she drank.

...He made the mistake of falling into it. He was young, too.

Turns out those heavy sedatives and a s**t-ton of alcohol didn't go well together.

There's so much blood.

She's dead now.

They all are.

And it's all your fault

...Blinded by love, huh? Yeah, happens to the be-

...Guess that happens sometimes, huh.

Lucian, someone so dead set on making sure everyone stayed alive, got roped in with an asshole like Kubo. What a f**kin shame.

Idris... Well, he just had some s**tty luck, got played a bad hand if you will. Mei was awful, he'd give her that, but now that she was dead...

...Oh god. Somehow it only seemed to get worse.

What about you, Akari? "Blinded by love"?

...Yeah, yeah guess that was true. He clung onto that girl because she was the only good in his life, he forced himself to be blind to the terrors around him all because she was there.

Oh god what a mistake that was.

He stood and listened to Miyako. He... Never really liked her either, to be fair he didn't really like anyone here, but this girl was just... Off. Tad bit rude too...

But she was right. Thank god she managed to shut Kubo up, but... Everything she said was right.

And Kubo, that bastard, really thought he could feel guilty about it. God he was insufferable.

"...Drop it. Can we all just... Drop it?"

Those were the only words he could say, the only words he'd let himself say.

Then he took a deep breath, then looked over at Lucian and Idris.

"...So, room for one more?" He asked hesitantly, unsure if it was an appropriate thing to ask in that moment. Oh well, what can a social reject who is terrible at literally everything do.

god this post is an absolute mess i'm so sorry, akari is so hard to write man, i'm probably missing a bajillion ✨lore✨ opportunities but i'm way too lazy and braindead tbh

thank god she's finally dead or is she jesus christ i don't know if i could've written any more crappy filler, this was getting too edgy and angsty

anyways pack up your bags, there goes 99% of my roleplay involvement, akari can dig his own grave for all i care

anyways it would be nice if he got some friends 👀

i wonder if mei can laugh her ass off at kaoru now, maybe her and rumia can find some bodies to eat

i give rumia permission to eat her corpse

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

...So this was it, huh?

Blood. My god there was so much blood.

This is nothing, Akari. You've seen worse.

...Worse?

...Yeah... But...

Don't think about it, 'Ri.

He peeled his eyes away from the execution room, screams threatening to spill were suffocating him. God... God it hurt so much... Why the hell did it hurt? He had seen people die, this wasn't any different. He... Didn't even care about Mei in the first place, right?

God, he was losing it. He couldn't think, he couldn't see, he couldn't breathe, he couldn't do anything.

He couldn't even look at anyone before he stuffed his damn hands into his pockets and walked away slowly, his teeth gritted so tightly it was making his head buzz.

Too many thoughts. Too many memories. Too much pain.

...Wonder how Lucian was holding up, how Setsuna was dealing with it.

...Wonder how much pain Idris was going through.

Don't even act like you know, Akari. She meant nothing to you anyways.

If she did, why'd you kill her?

He couldn't, at that moment. He couldn't look at any of them. He couldn't even try to do anything.

He just... Walked away. Walked out of the room. Hopefully to never be seen again.

i have no clue where this was going, adios, akari is bein left in the dust
