Open the settings app on the wii u menu, and scroll over one tab to "Data Management" and tap on it. It should start up data management and give you two options: the first one will say something along the lines of "manage system memory" (or at least it will let you copy/delete files on the system memory). The second will say something along the lines of "Format USB memory" and if you tap on it with a memory stick inserted into the Wii U, it will take you through the process of formatting the memory stick so it can save data files from the Wii U. (You don't really need to do anything, it just explains that it will format the stick's memory and tell you to tap another button.)

After you format the system memory, you can then select the other option in the menu that lets you copy/delete/move data files. Tap on your Wii U's memory and then find the icon that says Splatoon. Press the button that says "Select items" and select Splatoon, and then press "Copy". It should copy the save data from Splatoon to your memory stick. The process will take roughly 3 minutes to complete while it copies the data. You shouldn't need more than 1GB of free space of your memory stick to do this, I don't think Splatoon save data is more than 800MB. Most USB memory sticks will have at least that much, you'll probably be just fine.

When it copies over, just turn off the Wii U and take out the memory stick and you're good to go.

"Adorable...? You really think...?" Axel's face flushed slightly, although not enough for it to be noticeable. It's okay. They don't think you're weird. This is good. His thoughts were interrupted when the two strange, tail-less "tailmouths" started to run away. Nevermind, this is bad! They don't like me! They're running away because of me!

"H-hey wait! Whatever it was, I didn't mean it! Please don't hate me!" Axel stammered, and dashed after the two strangers with the things around them. Moss had been growling threateningly at Laroc, challenging the pink mouthtail's intimidation display at Axel and it, but stopped now that it Axel was running away. It wanted to fight that pink mouthtail, show it that no one threatened Moss's Axel, but that could always wait for another day.

They don't want to be around me, Axel thought worriedly as he pursued the "tailmouths". That must be why they ran away as soon as he showed up. Yes, they didn't like him. He hoped he could tell them the truth, that he was actually pretty cool. No, who was he kidding, they still wouldn't like him, no one would. But he had to try.

Axel's ears perked up at the sound of a commotion arising. He didn't really feel like talking to anyone, but his curiosity was already piqued. Not to mention that Moss, his Mouthtail, was nudging him towards it. I suppose I could just see whether or not it's anything interesting. He gave a dismissive sigh, but trudged toward the source of all the ruckus.

Through the thick flora, he could barely see a group of figures. Axel squinted his eyes to see if he could make it out, but to no avail. Squinting never really helped him see across distances any better, but he always did it nonetheless. When he got closer, he could see a gathering of other Tailmouths, some of which looked vaguely familiar but he wasn't exactly the best at matching names up with faces. And in the middle of the scene were two odd-looking creatures. They looked like Tailmouths, but they didn't have colorful fur or tails. They reminded Axel of frogs, but their color was different, and they had all sorts of strange coverings on their bodies.

Moss hadn't taken any mind to the strange creatures, but it had started to chew on something that a purple Tailmouth was holding.

"Hey Moss, cut it out! We don't know what that weird thing is and we don't put weird things in our mouths!" Axel scolded his tail and pulled it back, much to his tail's dislike, which bared its teeth but didn't put up much of a fight beyond that. Why did his Mouthtail always love to chew on things? At least it hadn't bitten anyone yet...

"Um, I'm so sorry," Axel mumbled. He covered his face with one of his hands. I'm going to die, he thought. Please just let me die right here and this will all be over.

Personality: Axel is rather soft-spoken and gets embarrassed easily. He has a hard time realizing when other people like him and he frequently makes social blunders. Constantly plagued by anxiety about others, he is always rather worrisome, especially when around others in fear of being judged. Usually he feels better when he is alone and has things to keep his mind off the embarrassing things he's done. On the other hand, his mouthtail, Moss, tends to act more aggressively. It often nips at things, most notably fingers. It also tends to be protective of its "host" and will become hostile if something threatens Axel.

You can plug in a USB and go to system settings>data management (I'm pretty sure that's where it is). If will probably prompt you to format the USB for use with the Wii U, just say yes and it will do it for you automatically. From there just copy the data from Splatoon to the USB and then you can unplug it. If your save data gets corrupted, you can either delete the data on your Wii U and then copy from your USB or you might just be able to copy and replace.

EDIT: Note that this can't be done with an SD card in the SD card slot, but if you use a SD->USB converter and then plug it into the USB port it will work.

I just screw with the opposing team enough on Rainmaker that it lets my team advance and win the game. I especially love splatting people from the middle cargo boxes on Port Mackerel when the rainmaker is almost to the enemy base because for some reason they never see me coming even though I'm just sitting up there in kid form in plain sight. XD ~~it dragged me from a B minus to an A minus lol~~

Okay, so the other day I FINALLY got to play Rainmaker for the first time, and I have to say that I have a new favorite game mode. ~~Ninja Squid absolutely destroys everyone. Combined with the roller it's too op somebody stop me.~~

It's soooooo fast paced, I love it, and I get to play roller peekaboo on the opposing team a lot. Definitely Port Mackerel is my favorite stage for this game mode, because the straight pathways make it perfect for both advancing with your team and ambushing the other team, which are two of my favorite things. <3

@ernieducky: Don't worry, nothing is too long for this RP, and the longer, the better. As long as it's at least a paragraph there's no rule to how long your posts should be, so if you have a lot to write about, go for it. ;)

@Neverlight: There really is no limit to what powers a Champion can have, other than it having to relate to their patron/zodiac. Of course, because they've been chosen by a legendary they're going to have at least one ability related to their legendary. Anything after that can be related to more powers their legendary has, or to the title their patron won. Although if you're thinking that your character will be able to use your legendary's exact movset, this would be incorrect.

For instance, my character's first ability is being able to basically absorb life force through touch, similar to Yveltal's Oblivion Wing. The extra power that she has is regeneration, which a power based off both Yveltal (because it absorbs life force of others and uses it for itself) Scorpio because scorpions can regrow limbs. (Albeit they are smaller or deformed, but this is fantasy RP and anything can happen.) On top of that, Yveltal is a Dark/Flying type and Scorpio aligned with the water element, which means she's granted an affinity for these elements if she didn't already have them before, although she doesn't have control over them, so she can't control water or use moves like Dark Pulse. Moves are for Pokemon and although our characters have temporary powers, sadly they are still human. In other words, unless you have time control or terrain manipulation listed as one of your powers, your character won't be able to recreate signature moves such as Roar of Time or Precipice Blade.

On the other hand, most of the other characters that are registered have a second (or more) power related to their legendary, such as Bellatrix's exta telekinesis/telepathy combo, Levia's hydrokinesis, and Eilian's forest regrowth. So the choice is yours on whether you want your extra powers to be from your patron or your sign, it doesn't really matter because the logic in them being chosen is basically just whatever you want your patron to give you. The fact that your patron is a Zodiac simply means that it now has enough power to give you more abilities, and with access to that title, it can give powers relating to it.

This does mean that champions without combat abilities are limited to weapon based combat or hand-to-hand unless they start getting creative. While Morana can kill or harm things at a touch, should she choose to fight she would need to be close enough to confront the enemy, whereas Jack can simply make people fall asleep Bellatrix can shape shift into a Pokemon with ranged attacks. Honestly, the only one I can imagine having a hard time in direct combat is Eilian, since he doesn't have powers that can influence foes directly. However, the time travel presents an interesting twist to this, and depending on how it's brought forth by Dracadia, he can either stop fights before they even begin by traveling back in time to change the future (if his time travel works like X-Men: Days of Future Past) or travel through time to rescue himself (in this case if would work like Doctor Who). Celebi is also a Grass type, and he would have an affinity for forests and such, and would have the upper hand should a fight start in a forest. I'm probably going to update the first post with a list of things that "buff" each of the types because I find it interesting. (Dark types stronger at night, Water types stronger in/near water, etc.)

Azariah slunk around Loki and through the door to the mess hall. Ah, Loki... "Hm, I'm just getting some coffee myself. I'd take you up on that brandy offer but unfortunately I'm far too underage for that," they said as they waved to Selinia. The Zoroark teen held respect for the captain, and had never attempted to impersonate her. Well, except for one time in private, just to see what it was like, to be her. It was only for a minute or so.

Azariah filled a cup of coffee, and started dropping in additives at what seemed like random, which is honestly what it was. Sometimes they didn't add anything at all. They stirred the drink with a spoon to blend the sugar, cream, and everything else that was added in, and took a sip.

"Mm, today's coffee tastes nice," they said with a small smile. "Nothing like a bit of caffeine to pick you up in the morning."
